One of the Big Boys

• Lynas’s Mt. Weld deposit in Australia will be one of the largest near-term producers of separated and purified rare earth oxides outside of China. Targeted production is 11,000mt of REO in their phase 1 program and will double that amount during their phase 2 program, bringing a total production of 22,000mt REO. Lynas has constructed their chemical plants in Malaysia, which includes a solvent extraction plant developed in house.

Potential Issues with Malaysia

• The Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (LAMP) in Malaysia has been the centre of many heated protests from Malaysia locals, and the foundation for political platforms. The primary reason for this is the thorium that will come off after processing will be stored on Malaysian soil. While this radioactive material has been deemed safe by all required authorities including the International Atomic Energy Agency (“IAEA”), there are still concerns from the residents near the plant.

Nonetheless, Progress Is Happening

• In February 2012, Lynas received a temporary operating licence from the Malaysian government to import the stock piled rare earth concentrate and process them inside Malaysia. The company has noted that they expect the first production of saleable product at the end of Q2. Should this go smoothly, Lynas will be the first major producer of separated and purified rare earth oxides outside of China. We believe that this will put further pressure on already falling prices for the light rare earths, which is predominantly what Lynas will produce. We believe that the Lynas story is a good one, but at this time, we currently rate the company with a SELL rating as we believe the company is overvalued. Our target price of AU$0.60 is based on a DCF analysis and a 12% discount rate.

sorry, aber wenn weder Lynas, noch die malaysische Regierung, noch die zuständigen Rechtsgremien etc. pp. mit der Geschichte klarkommen, ist es wohl für uns im thread a bissle viel verlangt, ultimative Wahrheiten zu verbreiten.
Wer's dennoch tut: "liebe Kinder, nicht nachmachen!"

Schalt' deine Birne ab, hör auf dein Bauchgefühl - mehr kann dir der gößte Börsenguru nicht bieten - er kann dír bestenfalls hinterher meisterhaft erklären, warum er sich getäuscht hat.

Egal wer hier was schreibt, wirklich Ahnung was da drueben "gespielt" wird hat hier niemand!
An irgendwelche Aussagen muss man sich ja halten, egal ob aus diesem Forum, oder vom Lynas Management.
So & nun frag ich jeden hier, wem man glauben kann & an welche Aussagen kann man sich als kleiner Anleger orientieren?
RICHTIG...weder noch, alle labern nur! (Nicht boese gemeint.)

Was ist denn jetzt GENAU geplant? Irgendein Termin o.ä.? Mit jedem weiteren Tag fällt der Kurs... Vielleicht sollte 5vor12 Ironie öfter auch als solche kennzeichnen, deine Aussage, dass alle jetzt rausgeschüttelt wurden, traf bei Arafura ja auch nicht zu. Aber vllt. auch deine Standartaussage

Lynas betreibte Aufklärung zu einem Zeitpunkt, da wollte eigentlich keiner was con wissen...-waren ja auc nicht da!

Jetzt kommen sie aus ihren Löchern und protzen mit Unwissen...-und haben Erfolg??? -Ich versteh dass einfach nicht-!

Ich seh es zumindest als politische Entscheidung...
-und wie Politik funktioniert.... naja, das wissen wir ja!
