2. (wichtiger) möglicherweise JPM bei Ausgleichszahlungen unterstützen sollen.
Wäre das so möglich?

WaMu bank branches get renamed Monday

Come Monday, Washington Mutual will no longer dot the California landscape.
In a grand re-branding, the WaMu name will be replaced by Chase, reflecting JPMorgan Chase's $1.9 billion September takeover of Washington Mutual's banking operations. The acquisition made Chase the nation's second-largest bank by assets.
Chase took over Washington Mutual in a deal brokered by federal regulators. The merger will result in 9,200 job losses over the next year at the former Washington Mutual, which became the nation's largest bank to fail amid the ongoing credit crisis. Many of the job cuts are occurring at Washington Mutual's Seattle headquarters, with the rest coming from redundant corporate administrative jobs across the country, the company has said.
No WaMu bank branches will be closed. In fact, Chase is spending $375 million to give all 708 former WaMu branches a face-lift. There are 154 branches in the Bay Area and each will serve cake to customers Monday to mark the transition.
Not all branches will carry the new permanent Chase signs — yet. "Since there are so many, they can't make signs fast enough," Chase spokesman Gary Kishner said. Some branches, for the short term, will make do with temporary banners, he added.
"There won't be any confusion about whether it is a Washington Mutual or a Chase bank," Kishner said. "They will all be Chase."
Beyond the branch remodels, Chase, now a $2.2 trillion financial services company, is adding more services geared toward medium and large businesses, from cash management to foreign fund trading, Kishner said.
