Heute nachmittag schockte Epirus den Biosimilar Markt mit folgender Meldung.Item 1.03. Bankruptcy or Receivership.
On July 25, 2016, the Company filed a voluntary petition for relief under the provisions of Chapter 7 of Title 11 of the United States Code, 11 U.S.C. §§ 101 et seq. (the “Code”) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts (the “Bankruptcy Court”). As a result of this filing, a Chapter 7 trustee will be appointed by the Bankruptcy Court and will assume control of the Company. The assets of the Company will be liquidated and claims paid in accordance with the Code.
Wir haben jetzt folgende Aspekte zu beachten. Formycon entwickelt seine Wirkstoffe in der Tochterfirma bioeq. Diese Entwicklung wird finanziert durch Santo und Polypharma.
Polypharma hat aber gleichzeitig von Epirus 5 Biosimilarwirkstoffe einlizenziert. Es könnte also gut möglich sein, dass bei einem Konkurs von Epirus die einlizenziert Polypharma Wirkstoffe dann in irgendeiner Form bei bioeq weiter bearbeitet werden. Doch dies ist jetzt erst mal eine Spekulation. Ich kenn die Verträge zwischen Polypharma und Epirus leider nicht. Doch sollte man die Sache mal genau verfolgen. Dies könnte dann Formycon in einer Form zugute kommen, da Polypharma mit Santo praktisch die Finanzierung der Formycon Wirkstoffe FYB201 und FYB203 übernommen haben. Sie dürften aber auch massgeblich bei der Entwicklung von FYB202 und FYB205 beteiligt sein. Eine Ausweitung auf die Epirus Kandidaten wäre in einem Konkursfall für die einlizenzierten Gebiete zugunsten von Formycon für mich denkbar.

(Nasdaq:EPRS) and Polpharma Group today announced the signing of a multi-product, multi-region profit-sharing collaboration for select EPIRUS biosimilars, including BOW015 (infliximab, reference biologic Remicade®), BOW050 (adalimumab, reference biologic Humira®) and BOW070 (tocilizumab, reference biologic Actemra®), representing $6 billion in innovator sales in the specified territoriesi. Polpharma Group is a leading generics company based in Poland with annual sales of approximately $1 billion and a strong commercial infrastructure, including a salesforce of over 1,700 employees globally.
With EPIRUS leading the global product development and clinical programs, both parties will jointly fund clinical development and collaborate on regulatory filings in the specified territories. EPIRUS will also be responsible for process development, scale-up and manufacturing, with Polpharma Group overseeing commercialization across the territories. Clinical development costs and eventual operating profit will be split 51 percent Polpharma Group and 49 percent EPIRUS. Polpharma Group will contribute approximately $30 million towards clinical development costs, as well as cover product launch costs across all three programs.

der Mann hat einen ordentlichen CV, und man kennt sich von früher.
Da ich davon ausgehe, dass Fromycon nicht aus Gefälligkeit solch einen Posten schafft, scheint es ordentlich was zu tun zu geben.
