NYSE to suspend Fruit of the Loom shares
NEW YORK, April 20 (Reuters) - The New York Stock Exchange said on Thursday that it suspended trading in shares of Fruit of the Loom Ltd. (NYSE:FTL - news), the apparel maker best known for making men`s and boys` underwear, due to the company`s bankruptcy.
Fruit of the Loom filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy on Dec. 29, 1999 and the company said it was highly unlikely that existing shareholders would receive any distribution after the company was reorganized and creditors got new equity.
The New York Stock Exchange said it would apply to the Securities and Exchange Commission to delist Fruit of the Loom.
On March 31, Fruit of the Loom said it would not be able to file its 1999 annual report with the SEC because of the bankruptcy procedings. The company had 90 days after its fiscal year to file the report, which had a March 31 deadline.
Fruit of the Loom said sales decreased to $1.83 billion in 1999 from nearly $2 billion in 1998. The company lost $491.1 million in 1999, compared with a 1998 profit of $135.9 million.

NEW YORK, April 20 (Reuters) - The New York Stock Exchange said on Thursday that it suspended trading in shares of Fruit of the Loom Ltd. (NYSE:FTL - news), the apparel maker best known for making men`s and boys` underwear, due to the company`s bankruptcy.
Fruit of the Loom filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy on Dec. 29, 1999 and the company said it was highly unlikely that existing shareholders would receive any distribution after the company was reorganized and creditors got new equity.

CHICAGO, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Fruit of the Loom, Ltd. (NYSE: FTL), one of the world`s leading marketers and manufacturers of basic family apparel, today announced that as a result of the Company`s bankruptcy filing December 29, 1999, the timing of interest payments on the above referenced public bond issues will be fixed pursuant to a stipulation and order to be considered by the Bankruptcy Court as soon as is practicable under the Chapter 11 proceeding. Fruit of the Loom made the first and second adequate protection payments due under the Adequate Protection Order dated January 28, 2000, to the Indenture Trustees on February 22, 2000 and April 3, 2000, respectively.
To comply with the Adequate Protection Order, the Company will continue to make interest payments on these three bonds, however, the payments shall be made quarterly in lieu of the former semi-annual payments.
Once approved, the Indenture Trustees will publish notice of the entry of the stipulation and order in The Wall Street Journal within three (3) business days of its entry. The record date for the initial adequate protection payment will be the first business day that is fifteen (15) days after such publication. The stipulation and order directs the Indenture Trustees to pay the interest accrued under the respective Indentures through March 31, 2000, to the holders of the Notes as of the initial adequate protection payment record date.
Thereafter, the Indenture Trustees for the 7-3/8% Indenture and the 6-1/2% Indenture will distribute future quarterly adequate protection payments to the holders of record within ten (10) days of a record date that will be set as the first business day that is twenty (20) days after the date on which the respective Indenture Trustees received the adequate protection payments from Fruit of the Loom.
The Indenture Trustee for the 7% Debentures will distribute future adequate protection payments to 7% noteholders within ten (10) days of a record date that will be the fifteenth day of the month before each scheduled quarterly adequate protection payment.

Bin leider auch mit 3.500 Früchten investiert. Ich schließe aus der Information von kofferdiebin, daß die Aktien jetzt offensichtlich doch wieder gehandelt werden.
Verstehe ich richtig, daß die Aktie derzeit so um die 0,4 Dollar wert ist ?
Hat jemand eine (fundierte) Idee zur künftigen Entwicklung ?

soweit ich informiert bin, kann man die aktie nur noch in usa im OTC (over the counter) handeln. wie das technisch geht, weiss ich leider auch nicht. bei dem momentanen kurs lohnt sich ein verkauf sowieso nicht mehr. ich denke die gebühren würden den kurs um ein vielfaches schlagen. na ja. die aussichten sind wirklich nicht gut. ich habe gelesen (quelle leider nicht mehr bekannt), dass, wenn Fruit tatsächlich weiter existieren soll, neue aktien ausgegeben werden und die alten wertlos verfallen.
ein doch sehr liebenswerter umgang mit investoren.
