First Helium has said that initial evaluation of the data by its exploration team on is recently acquired land at Worsley, Alberta, indicates the presence of several highly prospective drill targets.

The helium exploration and development company recently completed a 5,200-acre proprietary 3D seismic program over a portion of its most recently acquired land at Worsley.

Ed Bereznicki, President and CEO of First Helium, said he is pleased to complete the 3D seismic programme at Worsley on time and within budget.

“Building on the exploration model established with the acquired 3D seismic programs and through the successful drilling of the 15-25, 1-30, and 4-29 wells, we are extremely excited to further test the model on these targets on our new exploration lands,” he added.

Located on contiguous lands east of First Helium’s successful wells, the newly identified drilling targets are anticipated to yield helium-rich gas which would give us the opportunity to deliver additional potential volumes to capitalise on the company’s helium gas offtake agreement.

Back in May (2023), First Helium agreed to sell 80% of its produced helium volumes from its Worsley Property to a major industrial gas supplier. The contract is worth up to $100m in potential revenue to First Helium over the first five years, depending on the pace of production.

The new seismic program overlaps the Company’s existing 3D data over its three successful wells at Worsley and extends to the east where deeper horizons remain relatively unexplored.

First Helium’s exploration team is targeting natural gas pools containing helium, like the depleted pools on the westerly part of the play.

In that area, a single gas pool, the Leduc D3-D Pool, located approximately 25km to the west of First Helium’s 15-25 well, produced 46 billion cubic feet of natural gas with approximately 1.0% helium content spanning a period of over 12 years.

The new drilling opportunities add to the company’s existing inventory of locations.

Das liest sich alles sehr vielversprechend an. Stetige einnahmen durch 2 Ölquellen aber um den Kurs gen Norden zu treiben brauchen wir aber ein Abnahmevertrag fürs Helium. Trotz alledem ist der Wert extrem unterbewertet.
