As part of its continuing investment process, Adelong Capital has
committed to invest US$500,000 into a global e-commerce fund, the
second E-Trade E-commerce Fund. This fund will adopt the same
strategy as the first E-Trade E-commerce Fund which is to invest into
early to mid-stage companies offering Internet related products and
services or related infrastructure.

The fund will be managed by E-Trade Ventures, a Delaware limited
liability company controlled by Christos M Costakos and Thomas A
Bevilaqua. The Fund is offering approximately US$200M of limited
partnership interests to qualified investors. E-Trade`s first
E-commerce Fund has posted an internal rate of return in excess of
1900%.

The Fund`s goal is to achieve superior financial returns by
identifying leading companies in unique market segments of eCommerce,
investing across the life cycles of these ventures, and working
closely with entrepreneurs to build highly successful enterprises.
The Fund`s strategy is to seek investment opportunities where E-Trade
Group can directly assist companies by leveraging its experience in
building eCommerce leaders. The Fund will tactically look for unique
investment opportunities anywhere around the globe.

The investment will be made through a sub-fund, Richmond Global
Tactical Opportunites Ltd.

This new investment continues the strategy of Adelong Capital in
focusing on investing in emerging information technology investment
opportunities.

Hallo Grosserdroste

Ich halte die Idee mit dem VC-Fonds nicht für schlecht. Zum einen sichert man sich Management-Expertise, zum anderen diversifiziert man durch die Fondsanlage. Für "normale" Anleger ist der Fonds übrigens nicht zugänglich, das Konzept zielt auf Institutionals und vermögende Privatpersonen.
