Noch völlig unbekannt in Deutschland und gelistet in berlin ist die Firma QI TECHNOLOGIES aus Vancouver Canada http://www.qitech.com.

Der Hammer: Marconi comm. hat mit COCA COLA einen 100MIO$ Vertrag abgeschlossen. Es ist geplant die COCA COLA Verkaufautomaten auf smart cards umzustellen, wobei noch keine entgültige Entscheidung gefallen ist, ob smart cards genommen werden.

Marconi wird dazu QI Tech ins Boot holen. Am 28.06 werden dazu Gespräche im Headquater von QI stattfinden.
Der Kurs wird sich meiner Meinung nach in den nächsten 3-4 Monaten vervierfachen.

Die Stimmung der kanadischen shareholder ist weiter sehr gut, da alle auf einen Ausbruch warten. Smardcards sind eine sichere Technologie, die sich weiter ausbreitet. Am 15.07 ist Aktionärsversammlung, da wird einiges erwartet was Coca Cola/Marconi etc. betrifft.
Was den Kurs betrifft, so hat es wohl einiges an Leerverkäufen gegeben. Dennoch sind viele institutionelle Anleger im Boot.

www.mercercapital.de . Die haben diesen Wert empfohlen, und er hat sich bei mir verplappert -soll heißen: Nach MC wird der Kurs in den nächsten 3 Monaten etwa auf 20 kanadische Dollar steigen. Er muß für den Tip 20% vom Gewinn an diese Analysten zahlen, wir natürlich nicht.
Der Vertrag zwischen Marconi/Coca Cola für 500.000 Automaten ist perfekt, allerdings noch nicht der Vertrag mit QI. Marconi ist Anteilseigner von QI, deshalb liegt diese Sache nahe. Dennoch hast du recht, von einem unterschriebenen Vertrag ist noch nicht die Rede. Wir warten alle auf neue Infos.
Qi ist allerdings in Canada seit Juni groß im Parkuhrengeschäft (umrüsten auf smartcards) mit der Regierung und auch sonst sollen die Auftragsbücher voll sein.
Warum sinkt der Kurs? Das möcht ich auch gerne wissen. Nach MC ist der Boden bei 4.30 Can-Dollar und sie raten zum Nachkauf. Der Rückgang soll an hohen Leerverkäufen liegen, sagt MC - kann ich nichts weiter zu sagen. Ich selber habe die ersten Aktien bei 4.7 € gekauft und bin weiter unbesorgt.
Die Canadier im Board haben irgendetwas von extraniedrigen Kursen unter 5$ erzählt, weil die Institutionellen in USA nicht unter 5$ kaufen dürfen, damit die Canadier sich alleine eindecken können, bevor der Kurs abgeht - da bin ich allerdings nicht informiert, ob das stimmt!

Die Empfehlung der Gesellschaft, habe ich selbst über einen Bekannten bekommen der mit denen gesprochen hat.
Ich bin allerdings sehr skeptisch, mein erster Gedanke, die wollen nur abzocken.
Das System nur am Gewinn zu verdienen ist auf den ersten Blick interessant. Aber auf dem zweiten Blick liegt der verdacht nahe abgezockt zu werden.
Ohne Vertrag bekommt man eine Empfehlung, und soll dann 20% abgeben, wer macht so etwas ?
Haßt du schon mal etwas positives von denen gehört ?
In Amiland hat die Mafia mit so einer Abzocke richtig Geld gemacht.
Vieleicht sehe ich zu schwarz, aber Cannada und USA ist zu weit weg um hinzufahren und denen den Schreibtisch gerade zu rücken.

Einen Vertrag hat mein Bekanter nicht gesehen, er war in deren Geschäftsräumen und hat sich mit denen Unterhalten.
Informationen gab es genug über Qi, allerdings nur mündlich schriftlich hatten die nichts vorzuweisen.
Naja, als fair würde ich diese Geschäftspraktiken nicht unbedingt bezeichen. Fair währe, wenn die sich auch an den Verlußten beteiligen würden.
Eine interessantes Geschäft ist das schon, eine Empfehlung zu geben und davon zu provitieren. Warum geben den diverse Zeitschriften und sonstige so etwas Umsonst ab ?
Vieleicht ist hier ja jemand dem ich meine Empfehlungen derartig an den Mann bringen kann ?
Ich werde Qi weiter beobachten, wenn es so kommt das der Kurs abhebt, dann werde ich mich mit MC näher beschäftigen.
20% abzugeben ist dann auch OK, wenn man davon ausgeht daß man ohne MC 0% Gewinn hätte.

Das mit MC sehe auch durchaus kritisch, damit Du mich nicht falsch verstehst. Nur wenn QI Erfolg hat, im Sinne von mindestens 50%, ist das ganze interessant. Diesen Tipp sehe ich als Einstand von MC mehr nicht.
Die Mitbewerber kenne ich nicht. Ein Aktionär aus Kanada hat mir gepostet zum THEMA WETTBEWERBSVORTEILE und ich werde hier jetzt den Originaltext veröffentlichen.

CEPS is Common Electronic Purse Specifications. The CEPS specifications were developed by Europay International, Visa Espana/SERMEPA, Visa International and ZKA, and enable domestic and international interoperability of electronic purse programs worldwide. Organizations from 22 countries, representing more than 90 percent of the world`s electronic purse cards, have already agreed to implement CEPS.
When GPT (now Marconi) approached Visa a few years regarding unattended point of sale readers, Visa directed them to QI Technologies. Speaking on this in the Stockhouse interview, QI president Jim Roberts stated "Now that hasn`t only happened with GPT. It has happened with other major corporations too. The specs are available if anyone wants to apply to the Visa or Mastercard people. The code is ours. Even with our alliances with other companies, they don`t get our code."
The following is from the GPT (Marconi) press release when Marconi bought an equity stake in QI Technologies. "QI`s SmartKit reader is the only equipment in the world at this point which fully supports Mondex/MasterCard and Visa International card standards, as well as the other major players in the market for cash-replacement smart cards. Hallo Leute, ich habe mir vor einiger Zeit mal Infos zu QI besorgt und folgendes zusammengetragen. Ich werde demnächst noch mehr posten.

Auf dem QLink können die Daten von mehr als 100 Lesegeräten gespeichert werden. Diese Möglichkeit der Datenübertragung macht es einfach Kartenzahlungssysteme an Orten zu montieren, wo es nur schwer realisierbar ist, einen Telefonanschluss zu installieren.
Marktpotenzial
Das Marktpotenzial ist eigentlich unerschöpflich, Da der SmartKit II keine Online-Verbindung zur Verrechnungsstelle braucht, kann er eigentlich überall eingesetzt werden, wo man ansonsten kleinere Beträge mit Bargeld bezahlen würde, z. B. bei der Bierbestellung auf dem Dorffest. Das Haupteinsatzgebiet wird wahrscheinlich in der Verkaufsautomatenbranche sein. Allein in den USA wurden 1996 ca. 37,5 Milliarden US$ mit ca. 7,6 Mio. Verkaufsautomaten umgesetzt. Es wird geschätzt, dass bis zum Jahr 2001 in den USA ca. 10 % der Automaten auf Kartenzahlung umgestellt werden. Das Wachstum der Verkaufsautomaten wird mit 35% jährlich beziffert.
Für den europäischen Raum konnten ich bisher leider keine genauen Zahlen bekommen, ich gehe aber davon aus, dass das Potenzial wenigstens genauso groß ist, wie in den USA. Ein Riesenpotenzial wird entstehen, wenn 2002 in Europa der Euro als Bargeld eingeführt wird. Die Verkaufsautomaten müssen auf ein anderes Zahlungsmittel umgestellt werden. Dabei werden sich viele Automatenbetreiber überlegen, ob sie direkt auf den Bargeldlosen Zahlungsverkehr umschwenken.
Weltweit soll es über 15 Mio. Verkaufsautomaten geben.
Lizenznehmer
Marconi Communications (weltweit über 40000 Mitarbeiter) erhielt eine Lizenz zur Herstellung oder Vergabe der Herstellung. Derzeit werden noch sämtliche Geräte in Marconi-Betrieben gefertigt. QI prüft gegenwärtig ebenfalls zwei Produktionsstellen in den USA.
Vertriebspartner
Der größte Vertriebspartner ist derzeit Marconi. Marconi gab am 17. Mai 2000 in einer Pressemeldung bekannt, dass sie mit der Coca-Cola Company einen Vertrag haben, der die Umrüstung von mehr als 500000 Getränkeautomaten auf Kartenzahlung beinhaltet. Es ist nicht offiziell, aber ich gehe davon aus, dass die Kartenlesegeräte von QI eingesetzt werden
Ausblick
Aus unternehmensnahen Kreisen habe ich erfahren, das QI ein Nasdaq-Listing beantragt hat. Nach dem Nasdaq-Listing möchte QI das Listing an der CDNX komplett einstellen. Das Listing an der US-Wachstumsbörse Nasdaq dürfte weitere Liquidität und Aufmerksamkeit für QI bringen. Wir sehen noch ein erhebliches Wachstumspotenzial für QI Technologies was sich letztlich auch in einem steigendem Aktienkurs niederschlagen wird.

Übrigens wird QI schon in den USA gehandelt. Die sind unter dem Kürzel QONEF als sogenannte "Pinksheets" gelistet. D.h. es gibt keine Bid- und Ask-Kurse und der Handel ist sehr dünn.
Mein Tipp: Ich würde auf dem Niveau einsteigen, das Risiko nach unten sind vieleicht noch 10% max. 15%, das Potenzial nach oben könnte weit über 100% sein.
Ich bin überrascht, dass wir heute so großes Volumen in Berlin und Frankfurt hatten. Ich wüsste mal gerne wer da alles gekauft hat :-)

The Visa/Scotiabank Barrie pilot is now in its fourth year and has expanded to other plants in the Toronto area. One of these is a car manufacturing plant, which now has about 90 QI readers installed in it. That seems to be a good endorsement from Visa as they must be satisfied with the operation of our readers.

This will be done with CANTV telephone cards and likely Mondex smart cards as well as Mondex has been meeting with CANTV as of late. No doubt Visa smart cards will be used here as well.
In the Canadian military base, it is Gemplus cards that are being used to make purchases in Maytag laundry washers and dryers equipped with QI readers.

During the year, management fees of $198,000 were paid to Directors and Officers of the Company.
Sales for the year increased by $188,153 or by 115% over the previous year and our expenses decreased by $529,592 or by 31% reducing our over all loss by $696 056 Our major expenditure is still Research & Development for the completion of the development of SmartKit® II & III.
During this year a number of milestones were achieved with the most significant being the hiring of Craig Jones as VP — Sales & Marketing, currently our acting President and CEO.
We completed our installation of our SmartKit® units in Sherbrooke & Bishop’ University for Mondex of Canada (the largest pilot for c-cash in North America).
QI was retained by Gale Parking Equipment Inc. of Montreal to develop a Mondex board and reader that could be used inside Cale’s MP 102 pay & display parking system. First shipment of units to Cale was in August 2000.
Bromley Mechanical worked with QI in the development of our new Secure Delivery System which will was installed in September 2000.
Design of the SmartPad Handheld for Rothman’s project and the selection of the card supplier for the new QI Smart Card and Rothman’s card were finalized. First shipment of units for this project will start in November 2000.
We have begun discussions with a Venezuelan Vending Company that would incorporate QI’s SmartKit® into their coffee and snack vending machines.

documents the intention of both parties to work toward the establishment of
a more permanent binding agreement to develop and implement start card
systems, programs and applications.
