IBM, Oracle, Sun zusammen.
Produkte stimmen.

Sequoia Software Partners with Portal Dynamics Business Editors & High Tech Writers
COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 2000--
Portal Dynamics Using Sequoia`s XML Portal Server (TM) to Create
PM-Portal(TM), an E-Business Solution for Department of Defense and Industrial Life-Cycle Management
Sequoia Software Corporation (Nasdaq:SQSW), a leading provider and
innovator of XML-powered e-business software, today announced it has signed
Portal Dynamics, a division of Radian Inc., as a business partner. Portal
Dynamics will use Sequoia`s XML Portal Server(TM) (XPS) as a platform for its
new PM-Portal(TM), an e-business solution developed for military and
industrial clients seeking a comprehensive, Web-based application for
life-cycle management of complex systems and equipment.
"The PM-Portal was designed to meet the Department of Defense (DoD)
mandate for `Integrated Digital Environments` throughout the armed services
by 2002," said Tim Fleischer, president of Radian Inc. "Like other large
organizations with significant investments in legacy applications, the armed
forces now want to unlock the value of their `siloed` information resources."
Fleischer added, "With its powerful XML framework for bringing together
information and processes from incompatible systems, XPS lets authorized
users more easily access and work with the specific information they need.
XPS also lets us automate complex or tedious manual processes through its
XML-based workflow engine. We believe XPS is a critical success factor in
positioning our PM-Portal solution to lead the e-government revolution."
The PM-Portal integrates legacy systems, web-based applications, workflow
management, and other information resources required to support life-cycle
management programs for complex systems. Using the Sequoia-powered
portal, authorized users access real-time information through Web browsers or
Internet-enabled wireless devices to answer questions like:
-- What is the mean time between repairs?
-- What is the status of all maintenance activities?
-- What is the specification of the system or a component?
-- When was the item last ordered, received, purchased, and
installed?
-- What are the qualification, clearance, training, and
availability of the work force?
"Sequoia is pleased to add Portal Dynamics to our growing cadre of business
partners," said Mark Wesker, president and COO, Sequoia Software. "By
combining Radian`s long-standing relationships with DoD clients and expertise
with life-cycle management solutions with Sequoia`s XPS, Portal Dynamics
has the pedigree and product to succeed in the expansive DoD and industrial
markets."

Sequoia Software`s New Partnerships with
ScreamingMedia and iSyndicate offer Customers Broader Content Options
COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 2000-
Relationships Expand Range of News and Multi-Media Content
Available Directly through Sequoia-Powered E-Business Desktop
Sequoia Software Corporation (Nasdaq: SQSW), the leading provider and
innovator of XML-powered e-business software, today announced partnerships
with ScreamingMedia (Nasdaq: SCRM) and iSyndicate, two leading providers
of Web-based content.
Sequoia customers can select iSyndicate and ScreamingMedia content as
optional feeds delivered directly through Sequoia XPS, streamlining access to
the Web-based news and information they need.
Businesses employing Sequoia XPS give end users access to iSyndicate and
ScreamingMedia content through "Content Delivery Agents"--individual, easy
to use Web-based applications that snap directly into the users` homepage.
Content Delivery Agents appear alongside other work-related information and
applications, allowing users to retrieve and assimilate ScreamingMedia and
iSyndicate content easily.
"Sequoia`s new partnerships with ScreamingMedia and iSyndicate enhance
the value of XPS by giving our customers an easy way to deliver targeted
Web-based news and business information to portal users," said Mark
Wesker, president and COO, Sequoia Software.
Sequoia`s alliance with ScreamingMedia offers Sequoia customers access to
a wide range of fresh, relevant, custom-filtered content from more than 2,800
titles, including Knight-Ridder Tribune, The New York Times Syndicate, the
Associated Press Online, Red Herring, The Sports Network, theStreet.com,
and FINSAT/El Financiero, among others. ScreamingMedia content can be
presented to end users via Sequoia`s Content Delivery Agent, or it can be
indexed by XPS, making it searchable or available for further processing.
This allows XPS to automatically create a report composed of information from
ScreamingMedia and other internal and external sources, and then send the
report to pre-determined users via email.
"Because our technology is flexible and integrates easily with all business
platforms, we are able to enter into partnerships with leading technology and
software companies like Sequoia. Our partnership will offer Sequoia`s
e-business portal customers access to the unparalleled amount of fresh,
real-time content in ScreamingMedia`s Digital Content Network," said Kevin
Clark, CEO of ScreamingMedia. "Our joint solution gives Sequoia customers a
way to turn news into actionable business content, helping keep users glued
to their portal desktop."
Sequoia`s partnership with iSyndicate offers XPS customers a broad selection
of written, graphical, audio, and video content from over 1000 leading media
outlets including the Associated Press, CNET, Time, HealthScout, and
AccuWeather. iSyndicate content is regularly updated, giving Sequoia
customers an easy and cost-effective way to provide their users with the
timely and targeted information they need.
"iSyndicate`s rapidly expanding universe of customers is testament to the
quality and variety of the content we syndicate," said Joel Maske, president
and CEO of iSyndicate. "We are pleased to partner with Sequoia Software on
this initiative, which will help fulfill their customers` demand for premier
content, and at the same time, gives iSyndicate the means to grow our
customer base."

Public Health to Spur Research and Collaboration
COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 2000--
Nation`s Premier School of Public Health Licenses Sequoia`s
XML-Powered E-Business Software to Create a Dynamic Portal for
Faculty, Staff and Students
Sequoia Software Corporation (Nasdaq:SQSW) the leading provider and
innovator of XML-powered e-business software, today announced Johns
Hopkins School of Public Health has purchased 3,000 user licenses for
Sequoia XPS(TM) to power the School`s new research and collaboration
portal.
The Johns Hopkins` portal will provide faculty, students, and staff with a
collaborative research environment that will be accessible from any locale with
Internet access.
"Hopkins is a research-driven organization that is fueled by generating and
gaining access to a wide variety of public health information. We are also
globally focused, with collaboration being a key component of how we
operate," said Ross McKenzie, director of information systems, Johns
Hopkins School of Public Health. "We turned to Sequoia XPS after evaluating
other leading portal applications, because its XML-based architecture provides
the flexibility we needed to bring together information from virtually any
repository or application our globally distributed users might need. We also
believe Sequoia will make an excellent technology partner that we can trust to
fully support our efforts."
The Johns Hopkins portal will use Sequoia`s XML-powered e-business portal
software to provide their users with a personalized desktop consolidating
information from a variety of disparate sources. Phase one of the project will
begin in October with faculty using the portal for document collaboration,
email, discussion groups and bulletin boards, access to research information,
directories, calendars, a global address book, policy manuals, internal
databases, news feeds, and press releases. Johns Hopkins will roll out the
second phase of the project to over 1,500 students next summer, and will
support staff next fall.
"Sequoia is very pleased XPS was selected by Johns Hopkins School of
Public Health, and believe this deployment illustrates how globally distributed
organizations can benefit by connecting their users with the information and
work processes they need anytime, anywhere via the Internet," said Mark
Wesker, president and COO Sequoia Software. "Sequoia again went
head-to-head with a number of our key competitors to win Hopkins` business.
Over the last several months, we are seeing a high win rate over our
competition, as customers are now recognizing the superiority of XPS over
other products in the market."

innovator of XML-powered e-business software, today announced Johns
