Broadvision & Ericsson Jointly Build Portal Website for ChungHwa

CHINA, Jun 24, 2002 (AsiaPort) -- The world leading enterprise commercial portal application software provider -- American Broadvision (BVSN) lately announced that it would cooperate with its system integration partner, Ericsson Taiwan to jointly build highly-individualized portal website for Chunghwa Telecom, which was a successful move of Broadvision in Asia and Pacific regions.
Chunghwa Telecom selected Broadvision and Ericsson Taiwan to build the portal website for it, and this solution would benefit all the wireless communication users of Chunghwa Telecom. In addition, this website would be the largest portal website in Asia.
Broadvision expressed that Chunghwa Telecom selected Broadvision’s portal website solution not only because the advantages of the product, but also for that the product’s system and software structure could meet the demand of telecom operators.
One-To-One Portal includes personalized navigation tools that create a unique view of the portal based on user preferences, roles, and entitlements, according to Broadvision officials.
In addition, new Web configuration capabilities allow users to quickly configure the portal with their own data without complex coding. Personalization technology must be closely integrated into a portal to make it an effective business tool.
Other new features in the portal include Microsite collaboration tools that allow users to work in shared and secure workspaces within the portal, and integrated CM providing content check out, edit, and review capabilities.
Furthermore, One-To-One Portal adds Web services support with a configurable Web services portlet that allows the portal to consume Web services applications, according to Chen.
Meanwhile, One-To-One Commerce is a multichannel sales portal designed to automate and manage the entire sales process over the Internet. It combines Broadvision personalization with multichannel and direct sales capabilities.
