Framfab and Ericsson develop separate versions of Brikks
After the work with the first version of Brikks, Framfab and Ericsson have decided to continue the development of the software separately.
Since Framfab and Ericsson in the long term have different goals for the product, they have come to the conclusion that they would benefit if they offered the market separately developed versions.
"The decision to discontinue the development after the first version of the software has been made in mutual understanding with Ericsson, since we have noticed that there is a market for separate products. We want to stress that there are no disagreements concerning the ownership of the source code", says Mattias Söderhielm, VP Software, Framfab.
This decision only concerns the development of Brikks and does not affect the cooperation between Ericsson and Framfab in general. The Brikks related revenues from Ericsson have been neglectible during the second and third quarter this year. Nor will this decision affect Framfab’s possibilities to develop and license Brikks.
The Framfab-developed version of Brikks is a software for multi-access portals in both mobile, broadband and narrowband environments, that Framfab already has implemented for the Italian mobile operator BLU and Bredbandsbolaget. Brikks is also the basis in the system Framfab will build for one of the leading German telecom companies, VIAG Interkom.

Framfab unveils a brand new nikefootball.com
Framfab and Nike have just gone live with the next stage of the award winning website, www.nikefootball.com.
The site promises to be every bit as successful as it’s earlier incarnation, which won the coveted Cyber Lion Grand Prix award for Framfab and Nike, and has so far attracted more than 2 million unique visitors. Featuring talented young players from Amsterdam, Milan and London, the new site lets users watch videos of their moves and vote on their favourites, as well as submit their own videos to be viewed and voted on.
"We have a lot to live up to after the success of the last phase of nikefootball.com, but we feel confident that European football fans will want to engage with this new Nike experience" says Framfab’s Regional Creative Director Lars Bastholm. "We look forward to hearing from all the undiscovered football talent all over Europe", he continues.
Nikefootball is planning to take the concept global by featuring young talent from all over the world. Unlike other football sites, nikefootball.com features music and videos to convey the experience of football as it’s played in the streets and neighbourhoods of the world. Also featured on the site will be a series of player presentations and live web chats with the sports’ premier players. Featured this month is Roberto Carlos, with more to come in the months ahead.
The site has been produced out of the Framfab office in Copenhagen, and has been launched in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

Decisions made at Framfab’s extra ordinary general meeting
Framfab’s extra ordinary general meeting decided unanimously today:
* to launch a global option program in which current and future employees in the Group will receive stockoptions with the right to subscribe for new shares in Framfab. The options will be free of charge for the employees. The employee will have the opportunity to use the options to subscribe for new shares at the earliest one year and at the latest four years from the date the options are issued, given that the employee is still within the Group.
* to accept transfer and issue of warrants and issue of options to employees in companies that are or will become associated companies or subsidiaries of Framfab Innovation AB.
Full subscription of the options in the global option program will increase Framfab’s capital stock with approximately 5.8 per cent of the capital stock. In connection with this, earlier issued non sold warrants with the right to subscribe for approximately 6.5 million shares will be terminated. Full subscribtion af all outstanding options would add at most 9.6 percent to the company’s capital stock.
"By launching a competitive global option program, Framfab will improve its possibilities to retain, recruit and motivate qualified employees in all countries were we have operations", says Jonas Birgersson CEO.

Framfab starts new business area in
healthcare
Framfab is starting a new business area in the field of healthcare, by gathering together the competence within the company and linking up with specialists in the field.
"The healthcare sector is facing tremendous challenges. The network economy is drastically changing the game rules, partly in the form of new and increased competition and altered business models, and partly through an increase in consumer influence. We will in future see a new type of healthcare, where the patient, the healthcare provider and suppliers such as pharmaceuticals companies will work together in a completely new way," says Carl Ola Engelmarc, acting business manager for the venture at Framfab.
"We will offer an total solution, with everything from advanced business development and operations development to services of a more technical and communications nature, such as applications development and production of interfaces," says Kaj Jonsson, local manager of the cell in Gothenburg that will comprise the core of the venture. The cell currently has just under 30 employees, but expects to expand to around 50 employees by the end of the year.
Framfab intends to make a considerable investment in increasing understanding in healthcare. This will include holding a seminar, together with Docco, in Gothenburg on 28 September to illustrate trends and forecasts in the field. Workshops, seminars and other activities will also be offered within the Client Community being started for the healthcare sector. Today Framfab has a unique know-how with regard to introducing strategic total solutions to bring companies and entire industries into the network economy, with all that this entails in creating relationships, building up brand names and generating new and more cost-effective activities. An in-depth, broad knowledge of the healthcare field will enable Framfab to offer global solutions that are locally adapted for both business to consumer services and business to business services.
Framfab’s business concept is to create new business for the network economy through strategic advice and digital services. Framfab today has 2,050 employees in 53 offices in Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Great Britain, Sweden, Germany and USA. Our clients include 3M, AstraZeneca, AXA, Bosch, Electrolux, Ericsson, Expressen, France Telecom, IKEA, International Red Cross, le Groupe Pernod Ricard, Nike Europe, SAAB Group, Tele Danmark, Vattenfall, Volvo Car Corporation and Volvo Group. Framfab is listed on the Stockholm OM Stock Exchange "O" list.
Framfab presents new international clients
Framfab announces today the cooperation with several new international clients - J.P. Morgan, VIAG Intercom and Carlsberg.
VIAG Intercom
is one of the leading full-service telecom providers in Germany, with more than two million clients. The company has chosen Framfab as partner to develop and implement its broadband portal on the fixed radio access system. The foundation is Framfab’s cutting-edge multi-access portal software Brikks. The project is managed by Framfab Germany.
J.P. Morgan,
a leading global financial firm that serves business, government, and individual clients, has engaged Framfab for a number of Pan-European projects. The projects are managed by Framfab U.K.
Carlsberg
has appointed Framfab to do their advertising for all Carlsberg beer products in Denmark. Carlsberg is a major advertising client and is known to be one of the most professional advertisers in Denmark. The project is managed by one of Framfab’s advertising agencies - Halbye, Kaag & Framfab.
"We are proud to work with these world-leading brands. Framfab is now further positioning itself as a multinational company with the capability of handling the largest multinational, multilingual and multicultural projects", says Jonas Birgersson, CEO Framfab.
IKEA`s First E-commerce Site Pre-Released
IKEA today pre-released www.IKEA.se, an e-commerce site built by Framfab and hosted by Framfab`s hosting subsidiary Driftbolaget. The site is the first in a series that will ultimately cover most of IKEA’s 25 international markets.
The official launch will be on August 7, in conjunction with the Swedish release of the new IKEA catalogue. Initially, about 700 of IKEA’s products are offered on-line. The range will be expanded later.
"This is the first launch in a long continued effort within IKEA to embrace the Internet and e-commerce. We are very satisfied with the relationship with Framfab", said Nils Larsson, IKEA Sweden’s Internet Manager.
The Swedish pilot site was initially supposed to have been launched earlier this year. "We think that IKEA did the right thing, when they delayed the launch to ensure that they could handle a large number of orders from day one", Jonas Birgersson, CEO Framfab, said in a comment. "We at Framfab are great fans of IKEA and IKEA’s company culture. It is therefore a great honour and inspiration for us to work together with IKEA as they enter the Network Economy."
The site system has been built on top of Framfab Software`s global web content management system CM and Microsoft`s Internet Site Server Commerce Edition. With CM, IKEA’s own staff can build locally adapted web sites with a minimum of effort. The system also allows IKEA to easily reuse functionality globally over a multitude of web sites.
Framfab joins Bredbandsbolaget’s (B2) bid for the for Swedish UMTS-license
Framfab has agreed with Bredbandsbolaget to take a 15% stake in its consortium that will apply for one of the four Swedish UMTS licenses to be awarded in late November 2000. Bredbandsbolaget is currently discussing with a range of other international and Swedish strategic partners on their participation in the consortium.
The combination of Framfab, Bredbandsbolaget and other strategic partners that we are discussing with, will provide an excellent foundation from which to realize the vision of offering seamless broadband services to the mass market.
"Personally, I believe it to be a major step forward if we could be the first player in the world to offer mobile phone calls at a low flat rate. We have already demonstrated the ability to drive competition on the Swedish market for broadband services to the benefit of end-users. Through the establishment of this venture, we will not only bring real competition to the market for mobile services, but also, through strong innovation and advanced services, reinforce Sweden’s leadership in terms of development of Internet and wireless services", says Jonas Birgersson, Framfabs CEO.
UMTS (Universal Mobile Telephony System) is a new standard for broadband services and wireless communications, building on and radically extending the current GSM capabilities.
While GSM was originally designed for voice services, UMTS has from the outset been specified with the mobile Internet and multimedia services in mind.
After the work with the first version of Brikks, Framfab and Ericsson have decided to continue the development of the software separately.

About Framfab USA
Robert Eisenberg and Ben Fuller established eBizApps.com along with founding employees Eric Wingfield and Kai Middleton in May of 1999. Their vision was to establish an Internet professional services company with the key focus areas of custom applications development and e-commerce strategy consulting.
The high-quality applications and success of the Silicon Valley start-up helped eBizApps.com achieve the visibility that drew the attention of the Swedish consulting giant Framfab.
In February 2000, Framfab acquired eBizApps.com to establish a presence in Silicon Valley as its first U.S. branch office. eBizApps.com is now known as Framfab USA and will be the springboard for future expansion plans in key metropolitan areas across the U.S.
Framfab USA employs a talented and experienced team of developers and consultants. Through Framfab’s proprietary Internet-based project management system, it is able to draw upon the greater technical and creative resources of Framfab in Europe. Additionally, Framfab USA has an extensive local network of high technology industry contacts and thought leaders to draw on and is the lead contact for U.S.-based partners.
August 16, 2000
As you probably know, in February 2000,
Framfab,
the largest Internet professional services firm in Europe,
acquired Silicon Valley eBizApps.com, the eBusiness strategy and applications development company. With the acquisition Framfab established a U.S. presence; eBizApps.com is now Framfab USA.
We are building out our U.S. operations, an important part of which is the move to our new Sunnyvale space, the first of many USA offices.
The Sunnyvale space, furnished in the tradition of Swedish design, provides us with 6000 square feet, a necessity given our rapid growth. The new space facilitates our recruitment push, further aiding in our goal of rapid expansion into new territory.
Within the next two weeks, we will launch FramfabUSA.com; the new site will reflect our name change and the expanded capabilities gained through the Framfab acquisition.
Our experienced and talented strategic and technical consultants will continue to develop full service eBusiness solutions for our up-and-coming client roster. We look forward to hosting meetings and conferences at our new space.

"marchFIRST posted a surprising and significant downside surprise for the third quarter," said Birer. "Based on what we see as a more challenging business environment and the company`s already large scale, we are lowering our estimates moving forward to reflect a long-term growth rate of 20%, down from 40%. On the positive side, the company`s scale, breadth of services, and geographic presence are unmatched in the industry, in our opinion. We continue to be heartened by expansion of the company`s business both in service offering and geography. We highlight the company`s HostOne ASP service which continues to gain momentum in the market, as well as its partnership in Japan with Dentsu, one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. While we have revised down our cash EPS estimates for 2001, shares of marchFIRST are currently trading at only 8.1x our 2001 EPS estimate of $0.60. While we recognize there is some uncertainty with respect to our near-term estimates, we believe that the current valuation is compelling and our estimates achievable. We maintain our Buy rating on shares of marchFIRST."

"Razorfish reported third quarter results in line with preannounced expectations," said Birer. "After placing our estimates under review, we are reintroducing fourth quarter revenue and EPS estimates of $77.5 million and $0.02, respectively. Prior to the company`s pre-announcement, our fourth quarter revenue and EPS estimates were $88.3 million and $0.09, respectively. For 2001, we are reintroducing revenue and EPS estimates of $384 million and $0.28, respectively, down from our previous estimates of $450 million in revenue and EPS of $0.48. We believe Razorfish remains one of the best positioned iBuilders to exploit demand for Internet professional services among Global 2000 companies, and believe the company will emerge from its performance improvement plan a stronger, more profitable company. We reiterate our Buy rating on the stock."

Framfab <FTID.ST> 9-mo loss 25 mln SKR
STOCKHOLM, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Internet consultancy Framtidsfabriken (Stockholm: FTI2150.ST - nyheter) (Framfab (Stockholm: FTI1125.ST - nyheter) ) is seen posting a loss after financial items of 25 million Swedish crowns for the first nine months, according to a Reuters poll.
This compares with a 29 million crowns profit for the same period of 1999, the poll of seven analysts showed.
The estimates include capital gains from Communicator and Bredbandsbolaget for 6.6 and 104 million crowns respectively, and a pension repayment from SPP of 49.9 million crowns.
The full year loss is put at 115 miljoner kronor, compared with a 40 million crown profit in 1999.
Framfab, the largest consultancy in Europe with 2,600 staff, said on October 25 its third quarter results would not match market expectations and it would make a loss for full year 2000.
Framfab had said in August it expected strong demand for Internet consulting services for the rest of the year.
"International operations have shown good growth, but sales of consulting services in Sweden have weakened, worsening the (third quarter) result," Framfab said.
Framfab has said in the past that it might be obliged to take some restrucruting measures.
"This could mean letting staff go and retraining others," said Patrik Egnell, an analyst at Ohman brokerage.
Sales for the January-September period are expected to land around 1.19 billion crowns, compared with 207 million one year earlier, and full year sales at 1.78 billion after 355 million.
Framtidsfabriken will announce nine-month results on October 31.

Framfab comments on the third quarter
In Framfab`s most recent quarterly report it was stated that demand was expected to continue to remain strong during the rest of the year. In connection with preparation of the report for the third quarter, the Company notes that its international business has shown good growth but that sales of consulting services in Sweden have declined and that profitability has decreased. Both sales and profitability are expected to be lower than the market`s expectations for the third quarter. As a result, the Company estimates that it will not achieve profitability, before amortization of goodwill, for the full year.
At a press conference on August 24, the Company noted that sales and profitability of its Swedish consulting business would be under pressure in the third quarter due to the vacation period, the integration of acquired companies and the high rate of recruiting. These internal factors have very naturally had a negative impact. In addition, market conditions have changed.
Framfab`s long-established strategy is to work with global clients on their most demanding projects. Global projects are growing substantially in terms of volume, complexity and the number of countries involved. The projects affect an ever-larger share of the clients` value chain, and thus more sectors of client
companies. As a result of this, plus the general concern over the market situation, selling cycles have become longer. At the same time, competition for national projects in Sweden has intensified sharply.
"We are not pleased with the trend during the third quarter," Jonas Birgersson, Framfab`s CEO, says. "However, we note that the international operations are developing well. We will continue to follow our strategy of focusing on global projects for global clients. As regards our Swedish business, we will undertake a number of measures to improve sales and profitability. These measures will be presented in connection with the release of the nine-months report on October 31."

Carlsberg Brauerei
Framfab’s Danish off-line ad agency, Halbye, Kaag & Framfab, has just launched a new advertising campaign on behalf of the brewing giant Carlsberg. The campaign kicked off with the two TVCs currently running on TV3 and TVDanmark 1 and planned for release in cinemas soon.
The purpose of the campaign is to improve consumer perceptions of Carlsberg and to position the brand more distinctly. In effect, the ads constitute the creative implementation of a positioning formulated as follows by Steen Halbye of Halbye, Kaag & Framfab:
"Carlsberg is a quality beer, to be enjoyed in good company with plenty of time and space to appreciate its qualities."
Carlsberg can and must present beer in a more modern context. For example, the campaign concentrates on the enjoyment of beer at home rather than at parties, the traditional setting for most beer ads. The campaign also features more women than traditional beer campaigns.
All of these changes in emphasis reflect the desire for a far clearer differentiation between Tuborg and Carlsberg.
The ads were directed by Lone Scherfig and the casts include well-known Danish actors such as Nikolaj Coster Waldau and Peter Sten.
Halbye, Kaag & Framfab – until recently Halbye, Kaag & Partners – also works for other major international brands, e.g. Anders And & Co. (Donald Duck & Co.), Dansk Tipstjeneste (the Danish state betting service), Europæiske Rejseforsikring (European Travel Insurance), McKinsey & Co., Tholstrup Cheese and Nilfisk.
Halbye, Kaag & Framfab is a separate entity within Framfab, although the two companies are closely integrated and share offices at Toldbodgade 55. Partnership with Framfab has improved the agency’s insight into the use of the Internet as well as its ability to market Internet-related companies and services successfully, e.g. Bredbandsbolaget (the Broadband Company), Fastpartner.com, Kontornet (OfficeNet) and Jobmatch Worldwide.
The agency provides the ideal supplement to Framfab’s skills and expertise and we have the pleasure of working together for several clients.

Hallo Leidensgenossen!

Hallo bareda!
Dank für Deine Mühe aber woher stammen Deine Infos?
Hallo Big Man!
Vielleicht kennt jemand andere Quellen?

Framfab (Market Perform) reported a
disappointing set of Q3 figures on Tuesday. Q3 sales came in at SKr 308m representing a
25% sequential sales decline. However, the deepest problems lay in the Swedish Internet
Consulting operations where sales fell 46% sequentially. A number of issues have affected
Framfab, including over-execution of fixed price contracts, increasing price competition,
increasing sales cycles and seasonality. While we see long-term value within the Framfab
operation (especially when one strips out the value of the B2 holding), it is hard to see the
shares outperforming until restructuring is complete and management has rebuilt
credibility with the financial markets.

Framfab Slashes 340 Jobs,
Plans to Close Three Units
By Cecile Gutscher
WSJ.com
LONDON -- Swedish Internet consultancy
Framtidsfabriken AB
slashed 340 jobs in Sweden and said Wednesday it will shut down three units in a move to recover after a disastrous third quarter.
The layoffs represent about 12% of its overall work force, and one of the units being closed is the unprofitable venture-capital arm, Framfab Innovation, the company said.
"We need to improve cash flow," said Jonathan Greig, chief executive of Framfab`s U.K. subsidiary.
Framfab said the restructuring will cost 130 million Swedish kronor ($12.6 million), which will hit fourth-quarter earnings, but it should eventually save 230 million kronor a year.
Mr. Greig said Framfab would look elsewhere for profits and focus less on its home market in Scandinavia, where demand for Internet consulting has dropped off. About one-quarter of the company`s revenue comes from outside Sweden, Mr. Greig said. Ideally, Europe and the U.K. should account for two-thirds of revenue, he said. In the U.K., Mr. Greig wants to double staff to 100 by next year, and plans to open a second office in London.
"We have a situation where nine other countries are incredibly profitable, but if we don`t improve profitability at the Swedish operations then we`ll be a burden on whole company," Mr. Greig said.
E-commerce consultants like Framfab and its Swedish competitors Cell Network AB and Icon Medialab AB once were poised to capture a windfall from the move to the Internet. Now their fortunes -- and profits -- have taken a sharp turn for the worse.
On Monday, Cell Network cut 70 positions from its work force of 2,100. That followed the company`s report of a third-quarter loss of 322 million kronor, compared with a year-earlier profit of 23 million kronor. Meanwhile, Icon Medialab`s pretax loss expanded to 494 million kronor for the first nine months of the year from a loss of 68 million kronor a year earlier.
And U.S. Web consultancies are also hard pressed. Last week, Chicago-based MarchFirst Inc. said it was slashing 10% of its work force, or about 1,000 jobs. The company wouldn`t disclose how many of those job cuts were in Europe, but of its 10,000 employees some 1,700 are based here. Razorfish Inc., a New York-based consultancy, and iXL Enterprises Inc. in Atlanta also recently laid off employees after a slew of profit warnings in the sector due to a drop in dot-com spending.
But Framfab and its competitors say they aren`t concerned about demand for their services across Europe. They say an overcrowded, competitive Swedish market is as much to blame for the layoffs as a drop in demand.
"The market demand for our type of services is not bad, this is more a function of the Swedish market being competitive at the moment," said Arvid Liepe, who heads investor relations at Cell Network. "In our sector, e-integrators, most of the largest [companies] are Swedish, with the main part of their business in Sweden and to a large extent, the same companies on their client list.
"Looking at our operations in the rest of Europe, there`s quite good demand, with better demand and growth possibilities than in Sweden," he added.
Mr. Liepe said of Cell Network`s 2,100 employees, more than half are in Sweden, with 500 in Stockholm alone. The majority of Cell`s layoffs were in Stockholm; in part to re-organize that office with a clearer focus on sales, and in part because of a decline in dot-com demand. "For the group as a whole our exposure to the dot-com sector has not been great, but the exposure we have had, has to a large extent been via Stockholm," he said. Dot-coms contributed 10% of total revenues in the first half, but by the third quarter it had dropped to around 4%, said Mr. Liepe.
Mr. Liepe said the company doesn`t foresee the need for further layoffs at the moment. "As we see it this should create the prerequisite for us to return to profitability in the first half of next year," he said. Cell Network did, however, make a 10-million-kronor provision for nonpayments by clients in the third quarter.
Mr. Liepe`s remarks were reinforced by another Swedish competitor, Icon MediaLab. "We have been following another strategy, working not so much on the local market as we are on international projects. We don`t have the need for any drastic action at all," said Chief Executive Ulf Dahlsten. "We have been careful because we felt there has been a lot of building of resources in Sweden."
Mr. Dahlsten said other European countries have some way to go before they catch up to Sweden`s relatively mature market. "It`s not across Europe. We see very high demand in Germany, for instance, and also in the U.K. Italy is definitely coming along and Spain is also strong," Mr. Dahlsten said.
Icon MediaLab is not as heavily weighted toward Sweden as others in its sector, with 550 of its 2,300 employees there. And it has slashed its exposure to dot-coms, who now contribute less than 5% of revenue compared with 37% at the start of the year, said Mr. Dahlsten. But Icon still has taken precautions, making a provision of 23 million kronor against nonpayment by clients in the second quarter and a further 16 million kronor in the third. As of June, the company also has demanded an up-front payment or bank guarantee before carrying out work for dot-coms.
The news of Framfab`s restructuring hit the company`s shares hard on Wednesday. Framfab`s shares lost 4.80 kronor, or 19%, to 20.40 kronor apiece, after being down as much as 23% earlier in the session. The shares are down more than 90% from their March peak.
"This a mature step, but I don`t know if it`s enough," said independent technology analyst Ian Spence of rg27 Ltd., a Hampshire, England-based consulting firm. "Neither [Framfab or Cell Network] has grown up with a culture of profitability and now they`re having to realign their cost base to become profitable."
Two weeks ago, Framfab replaced its flamboyant young chief executive, Jonas Birgersson, with a more staid and profit-minded colleague, Johan Wall, who had been executive vice president of international operations. The change followed disappointing third-quarter results. Framfab swung to a loss of 179.4 million kronor for the third quarter and has warned it will post a loss for the full year.
The company struggled with too many acquisitions of smaller players, Mr. Spence said. "Control is a big challenge there," he said. "Organic growth is a much better policy." In October, Framfab acquired Swedish advertising agency Stenstrom & Co. and Bulgarian Internet consultancy Arexus.
This acquisition spree has been costly, and Wednesday Framfab said it is shutting down three units: two marketing companies, MOR and Halbeye & Kaag & Partners, as well as Framfab Innovation, the venture-capital unit.
"They had required an awful lot of investment from the group," Mr. Greig said. He said Framfab Innovation`s staff would be offered jobs at Framfab Labs, a Swedish-based unit focusing on innovation and new technology. Olle Leckne resigned as managing director of Framfab Innovation.
He said there were no plans to wind down Framfab Ventures, which is funded by Ikano, the bank owned by Ikea, but which Framfab runs.

ANALYSE: Lehman Brother sieht Finanzierngsprobleme bei
Webagentur Framfab
LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Nach Einschätzung des amerikanischen
Brokerhauses Lehman Brothers könnte der schwedischen
Webagentur Framtidsfabriken AB (Framfab) bis März 2001
das Geld ausgehen. Der gestern bei Bekanntgabe der
Quartalszahlen vom neuen Vorstandsvorsitzenden Johan Wall
SKR gefallen, was
auf einen monatlichen Mittelbedarf von rund 100 Mio. SKR schließen lasse. Zudem koste die Neustrukturierung im vierten
Quartal zunächst 130 Mio. SKR. Neben den Finanzierungsschwierigkeiten sieht Lehman Brothers Personalprobleme auf
Framfab zukommen.

Framfab & Nike launch North American web site for Nike’s newest offering, Nike Shox.
The global introduction of Nike Shox, Nike’s newest and most technologically advanced shoe, got underway last week with the launch of the Nike Shox web site in the United States and Canada.
The launch is particularly significant as it marks the first time in the history of the Nike/Framfab alliance that Framfab has been strategically and creatively responsible for a web site intended specifically for the North American continent.
"Creating this web site has been a challenging job because we wanted it to live up to the revolutionary technology of the shoe. We have tried to convey the singular nature of the engineering and design of Nike Shox and give the user a taste of the unique sensation delivered by these shoes" says Framfab’s Creative Director Lars Bastholm.
The website is an integral part of a global advertising campaign that kicks off in the U.S. and Canada today, and moves into Europe, Asia and the rest of the world early next year. The site allows users to learn about the technology of Nike Shox and includes areas where the user can get a simulated experience of what it will be like to wear a "foot rocket". Several of the world’s top athletes are featured offering their opinions of Nike Shox.
Nike Shox are the result of 16 years of research and development by the engineers at the Nike Sports and Research Lab in Oregon.

e stock competition
Eskilstuna-Kuriren/Strengnäs Tidn, 2001-01-09
(General news media, Sweden)
It`s time for Affärsliv`s stock competition again. Last year`s sharp share price falls mean that the chances to find shares with great potential are better this year.
The Internet consulting companies Framfab, Icon Medialab and Cell Network represent the group of IT-shares that dropped heavily during the year.
If these companies can show in their annual reports that they have been able to handle the troubles, the potential for share price rises would be enormous.

Net consultants under harder pressure
Finanstidningen, 2001-01-11
(Business media, Sweden)
The market for the Internet consulting companies is expected to be even harder this year than last year.
The reason is that the competition for less advanced services has become stiffer, which means that the prices are going down.
Niklas Flyborg, CEO of Cell Network, thinks that the price fall will have the effect of dividing the market.
"It`s possible to get well paid for specialist competence on the Swedish market, as for example programming within broadband and mobile Internet", says Flyborg.
But as simple consulting services will get cheaper, Flyborg thinks that the pricing will disperse.

IT-consultants see new day dawning
DAGENS INDUSTRI, 2001-01-05 (BUSINESS MEDIA, SWEDEN)
IT-consultants was yesterday`s winners on the Stockholm stock exchange. WM-data issued a profit warning already in April 2000, but today, nine months later, it seems like new winds are blowing.
Lars Harrysson, CEO of WM-data, thinks that the growth will soon be back on the same level as before 2000.
Also Niklas Flyborg, CEO of Cell Network, thinks that the recent share price rise is a confirmation of a new insight on the market.
"I think there`s a knowledge today, that in the same way our kind of company was over-valued in March, we were under-valued just before the turn of the year, and I think many people has realised that," says Niklas Flyborg.
The WM-data share rose by 2.6 percent to SEK42.80 and Cell Network rose 2.9 percent to SEK17.70.

Web Consultants Face
Shakeout in Europe
The Wall Street Journal Europe, 2001-01-02
(Business media, Great Britain)
The Internet consulting firms are struggling on a weak stock market and the client base is shrinking. Just some days after Cell Network shed 70 employees the rival Framtidsfabriken slashed 340 jobs and closed three units.
Low share prices make former giants vulnerable and Old Economy companies would be able to swallow them up.
However, European Internet consultants have managed better than their American counterparts.
"With valuations the way they are, any merger activity is more likely to see European acquiring American than the other way," says Ian Spencer, technology analyst of British rg27 Ltd.

These will include the establishment of an extranet for MediTeam distributors in countries

Driftbolaget and IKEA to
increase co-operation
IKEA has chosen Driftbolaget to host IKEA’s websites in the USA and Canada. IKEA is
already represented on the Internet but it is not until now their websites are transferred to a
common and conceptual environment.
When IKEA enters the US and Canadian markets the company chooses to co-operate with
Driftbolaget.
The number of visitors on the sites is estimated to 1,5 million per month.
“This involves a great undertaking and a big confidence in Driftbolaget since USA and Canada are
two of IKEA’s largest markets on the Internet”, says Hans Ristner, CEO at Driftbolaget.
He views this as yet another proof of that Driftbolaget now is accepted as a serious and competent
company by more and more global clients.
“Driftbolaget was involved early in IKEA’s web venture and have designed a fully redundant
platform with high availability around the clock. This platform has now been increased and prepared
for receiving traffic from USA and Canada. The advantage of having the site located in Lund is that
we have the competence there, monitoring 24 hours a day and also that the customer escapes the
problem of having to create an identical physical environment in USA and Canada”, Hans Ristner.
Driftbolaget is a hosting service provider enabling digital businesses on the Internet with a complete offer for hosting of Internet
applications and complex web sites.
The company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Framfab, has specialized competence within
server technology, security, broadband communication, e-commerce and distribution of IP-packages.

Driftbolaget and Compaq in partnership
Driftbolaget, together with Compaq and other strategic partners, have teamed up to offer a
tailored hosting solution for complex web applications. Built on a partnership between
established technology companies, the StartPaq offers companies a fully scalable solution for
their site hosting requirements.
"The concept is not unique. What differentiates StartPaq is the added value for the customers in the
long run” says Hans Ristner, CEO at Driftbolaget. “StartPaq is a great addition to our core service
offering. It gives Driftbolaget the opportunity to target smaller companies with the same quality of
service it has been providing to larger corporations. StartPaq will operate as a digital nursery,
providing small projects with a fully scalable, cost-effective solution that will grow with their
requirements.“
This cooperation has been an initiative of Compaq Computer in Denmark and sees Driftbolaget
strengthen its strategic partnerships with Compaq, Microsoft and Oracle.
StartPaq is based on Compaq´s standard products, Business Critical Servers and Industrial Standard
Servers along with software from Microsoft and Oracle.
“StartPaq is initially launched in Denmark, but we expect similar operations to soon be implemented

Johan Wall temporarily assumes the leadership of Framfab Sweden
Framfab`s CEO Johan Wall has decided to temporarily assume the leadership of Framfab Sweden.
The massive restructuring of the Swedish operations that has been going on since November has been spearheaded by the President of Framfab Sweden, Michael Gustavsson. It has been a demanding task that Michael has executed well so far. Michael has now asked to move on to other assignments within the company after a very intense period of work.
The forceful action program that has been implemented to return the Swedish operations to profitability continues with undiminished power. The program is above all targeted at lowering costs and increasing the client focus.
"I want to thank Michael for his efforts to develop the Swedish organisation," Johan Wall, CEO Framfab said in a comment. "We are now taking further forceful actions to strengthen the organisation and to focus on our core business."
The naming of a new President of Framfab Sweden will be made as soon as the right person has been found. Michael Gustavsson exits from the global management group and will continue to work in Famfab with questions related to the restructuring and focusing the company.

Mærsk Data to take over Framfab Office in Lund
and Establish Subsidiary in Sweden
As a first step in the establishment of a beach head on the Swedish market,
Mærsk Data now creates a subsidiary in Lund in the south of Sweden.
Mærsk Data takes over about 40 employees from Framfab in Lund and
establishes itself in the science park IDEON.
-We have been looking at Sweden as an interesting market for Mærsk for
some time and are now building a sales organisation in the new company.
At first, the employees in Lund will be assigned to existing projects within
Mærsk Data.We constantly have use for more employees with the large
demand we are experiencing,President Steen H.Knudsen,Mærsk Data,
says.
-Lund is a good starting point for establishing a company in Sweden.Lund
is located near Copenhagen and has a good IT environment with very
competent employees.
Most of the employees taken over by Mærsk Data has a university degree
within IT and has several years of experience in project leading,software-development
or web design.
The CEO of FRAMFAB,Johan Wall,is confident in selling to Marks Data.
-We are now doing everything we can to ensure as many of the employees
as possible a continued employment in other companies instead of laying
them off.At the same time, this is a good step towards returning
FRAMFAB to profitability.
The deal will not in any way have effect on Framfab´s clients.

Moso is the dream solution for everyone who wishes they had an assistant to keep track of all the meetings, keep colleagues informed about everything and keep you updated no matter where you are. Moso is the application that makes your WAP telephone, computer and PDA (Palm Pilot, etc.) into a single, intelligent unit. And that makes you calmer.
Moso gets WAP telephones, computers, PDAs and accessories to work together. It doesn’t matter what you or your friends or colleagues are using—the communication works in all directions. Telephone numbers, scheduled meetings, and other information that you save in one location are automatically stored on your mail server.
It is Ericsson’s and Microsoft’s joint venture, Ericsson Microsoft Mobile Venture, that developed Moso and gave Framfab the assignment of making a platform-independent presentation for Moso and Mobile Venture via the Internet.
One of the challenges Framfab faced was making the Web site accessible from regular computers, WAP telephones and PDAs.
"This is exciting!" says Karl-Johan Ekbom, Framfab’s creative director. All text information can be read on any device. Our work is based on a teaching/learning interface that gathers the answers for the visitor—you shouldn’t have to search for the answers.
The result is a complex site. The target group of carriers, journalists and others who are interested in the work will find everything they need to know in the corporate section. The Moso section of the site describes the services included and is expressly designed to attract users.
"We are very satisfied with our collaboration with Framfab. We need a collaborative partner that we can trust, someone who understands our needs and meets these needs quickly. Framfab has met our expectations, been flexible, and delivered creative, high quality work," says Eva-Lotta Persson at Ericsson Microsoft Mobile Venture.
Of course it’s fun to be part of this and launch an idea developed in cooperation between two such distinguished companies as Ericsson and Microsoft.
"We are pleased to have the privilege to work with such an enthusiastic and brave client," says Karl-Johan Ekbom. "Our level of responsibility led to mutual trust and very successful results. In addition to Mobile Venture itself being strongly involved in the work, we have cooperated with Brindfors Enterprise and the St. Luke’s advertising agency."
And what happens now that the first stage has been delivered?
"It’s always difficult to determine the rate of development and what breakthrough these types of services will have," explains Karl-Johan Ekbom. "But the technology is available; it is a question of how fast the public will be ready for it."

Framfab sucht Investoren für eine Kapitalerhöhung.Denen geht das Geld aus!Sieht bitterböse in der Zukunftaus.
Framfab issues new shares for SEK 325 million
The board of directors of Framfab yesterday (May 6) resolved on two
issues of new shares for a total of not more than SEK 325 million. The
first issue of new shares will be directed to strategic and
institutional investors, and the second issue of new shares will be made
with preferential rights for the company`s shareholders in proportion to
the number of shares held by each shareholder prior to the issue. The
board resolutions are subject to approval by an extraordinary general
meeting of shareholders.
The subscription price for the new shares issued in the directed new
issue will be SEK one (1) per share. If fully subscribed the directed
new issue will provide the company with SEK 175 million by issuing 175
million new shares and will increase the share capital with SEK
17,500,000. The directed new issue is conditional upon all 175 million
issued shares being subscribed, and by at least 100 million shares being
subscribed in the second new issue with preferential rights for the
company`s shareholders. The final day for subscribing new shares in the
directed new issue will be May 27, 2001.
The subscription price for the new shares issued with preferential
rights for the shareholders of the company will be SEK one (1.00) per
share. Each share held by the shareholders shall entitle the holder to
subscribe for one (1) new share. If fully subscribed the new issue will
provide the company with approximately SEK 150 million by subscription
of not more than 149,841,219 new shares and will increase the share
capital by approximately SEK 15 million. The record date for determining
which shareholders shall have the right to participate in the new issue
will be May 29, 2001. The new issue with preferential rights for the
shareholders is conditional upon that at least 100 million issued shares
are subscribed, firstly, by the shareholders with their preferential
rights or, secondly, by others without any preferential rights. In
addition, the new issue with preferential rights for the existing
shareholders is conditional upon that all 175 million shares issued in
the directed new issue are subscribed by strategic and institutional
investors. The intended subscription period in the new issue of shares
with preferential rights for the shareholders is June 5-19, 2001.
The board of directors also resolved to give notice of an extraordinary
general meeting of shareholders on May 22, 2001 for approval of the
board resolutions on the two issues of new shares.
In practice, the board of directors` resolutions on the two new issues
of shares mean that the company will only proceed with the new issue of
shares with preferential rights for the existing shareholders if the
directed new issue of SEK 175 million is fully subscribed by strategic
and institutional investors by May 27, 2001. If fully subscribed,
Framfab will be guaranteed SEK 175 million from the directed new issue
when commencing the new issue with preferential rights for the
shareholders. In the event that the directed new issue of shares will
not be fully subscribed, or if shares are not subscribed for in the new
issue with preferential rights in an amount of not less than SEK 100
million, all payments made for subscribed shares in each respective new
issue will be repaid.
The purpose of the capital increase is to provide the company with
sufficient funds until a positive cash flow is obtained.

That´s the problem for all.

Framfab Labs, Bredbandsbolaget and investments in UMTS licences.
In connection with the transfer, Framfab Technology will be changing its name to Erda Technology AB.

Framfab setzt mit Restrukturierungsmaßnahmen auf Erfolg
[22.05.2001 - 16:52 Uhr]
Beratungstochter A.T. Kearney in Deutschland vertreten.

Kabel New Media vor deren Schierierigkeiten ab Jan./Febr. 2001 hatte .
Marktkap. von Kabel (pleite=finito), da nur falls überhaupt Teilverkäufe möglich ca 26 mio Aktien** a 0,38 Euro = ca 10 mio Euro
Framfab 350 Mio Aktien full dil. (incl. Kapitalerhöhung - also 17 Mio Euro frischem cash) a 0, 09 Euro = 31,5 Mio Euro.
Schuldenstand usw. alles unklar.

SEK) an institutionelle Anleger durchgefuehrt.

Framfab Continues to Divest According to Plan
Framfab sells the main part of Framfab Labs, its subsidiary Framfab Spain S.L. and divests its stakes in the Dutch companies Coin and Plinq. Framfab also divests its eleven-percent stake in Framfab S.p.A. in Italy. These divestments are part of the action programme that has been communicated earlier.
* The software development operations in Lund with 54 employees that was part of Framfab Labs and that mainly has been engaged in the development of the Internet portal platform BRIKKS will be sold to employees and external investors. Framfab will retain approximately 20 percent in the new company, but will not be represented on the board. Jonas Birgersson will have an indirect ownership of 10 percent. The exact terms will be communicated in the notice for an extraordinary general meeting. The new company will have Jonas Birgersson as its CEO and he will thus leave the Framfab Group. Jonas has also left the board of B2 Bredband, where he was Framfab’s representative. Sven Skarendahl, Framfab’s chairman, replaces him there.
* Framfab Spain S.L. is one of Framfab’s smaller sales offices. The company has been sold to Grupo Rodania S.L., a Madrid-based company specialised in technology and knowledge transfer between the Nordic countries and Spain.
* Framfab’s 70 percent stake in the Dutch corporate communications company Coin Corporate Interactive B.V. with 10 employees has been sold to Van Klaveren Management Support. The Dutch company Coin is not to be confused with the Swedish company with a similar name, which Framfab acquired in 1998.
* Framfab’s 70 percent stake in the Dutch digital entertainment company Plinq P.V. with 8 employees will be sold to the 30 percent owner Stichting Plebs Incorporated. This does not mean that Framfab has left the Netherlands. Framfab will retain its full ownership of the Dutch subsidiary Netlinq Framfab.
* Framfab’s eleven percent stake in Framfab S.p.A. has been sold to the Italian company’s management. With the divestment and in accord with the management of Framfab S.p.A., Framfab has chosen not to exercise its option to acquire the remaining 89 percent of the company.
"We are happy that we have found new owners for Framfab Labs’ operations in Lund and wish Jonas Birgersson and his staff the best of luck. We are looking forward to a successful partnership around BRIKKS and other products. As Jonas Birgersson will be leaving Framfab, I want to express our gratitude for his achievements over the years," said Sven Skarendahl, the chairman of Framfab.
"I am pleased that we finally found a solution that provides our Lund operations with financial stability, even if it means that we are leaving Framfab. We believe that our partnership with Framfab will mean much for the success of our products," said Jonas Birgersson, the CEO of the new company.
"The divestments that are part of our action program have now been completed. Framfab is now a focused Internet professional services company with operations in six countries in Europe, and we are now in a good position to restore our profitability," said Johan Wall, the CEO of Framfab.
The divestments of Framfab Labs’ operations in Lund and Plinq are conditional for their validity upon the support of a general meeting. A majority of at least nine tenths of both the votes cast and shares represented at the general meeting is needed as the decisions fall under the so called Leo act. Framfab will shortly send out a notice for an extraordinary general meeting.
