      erweisen !

Delta Gold wird in ungeahnte Kurshöhen steigen...
...ich stell schon mal ne Flasche Champus kalt...!!!

      DELTA GOLD LIMITED 2000-12-06 ASX-SIGNAL-G

      HOMEX - Sydney

      +++++++++++++++++++++++++
      RESPONSE TO ASX QUERY

Your fax of the 5 December 2000, addressed to the Zimplats office in
Sydney was forwarded to me in Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, the time
difference meant that I could not phone you, or fax you before your
close of business on the 5 December 2000.

We note from the ASX share dealing information that the share price
closed at A$0.67 compared to A$0.58 the previous day, and that the
volume of four hundred and six thousand shares is considerably higher
      than normal.

The answers to the questions raised in your fax are as follows:

      QUESTION 1

The Company is not aware of any information concerning it that has
not been announced which, if known, could be an explanation for the
recent trading in the shares of the Company.

With respect to the report in the Sydney Morning Herald concerning a

rumour that Anglo Platinum and Lonmin are conducting due diligence on
Delta`s 51% stake in Zimplats, the Company has not been advised by
Delta of any such due diligence taking place.

As previously reported, on-going discussions, in the normal course of
business, continue in order to secure debt and equity funding for the
Ngezi/SMC Project. In addition, discussions continue with potential
      technical partners in the Project.

      QUESTION 2

      Not applicable.

      QUESTION 3

The price change and increase in volume may be the result of the
presentation made to shareholders at the Company`s AGM on the 30
November 2000. A copy of the presentation has been lodged with the
ASX on the 15 November 2000.

The price change and volume increase may also be the result of
speculation that a Project go-ahead decision may be imminent.

      QUESTION 4

Zimplats is in compliance with the ASX listing rules, and in
      particular, listing rule 3.1.

I trust the answers above adequately address the issues raised. I
will phone you prior to the start of business on Wednesday, 6
December 2000 to discuss these issues.

      ASX QUERY

      PRICE QUERY

We have noted a change in the price of the Company`s securities from
a low of $0.58 on 4 December 2000 to $0.75 today. We have also noted
an increase in the volume of trading in the securities over this
      period.

In light of the price change and increase in volume, please respond
to each of the following questions.

      1. Is the Company aware of any information concerning it that has not
been announced which, if known, could be an explanation for recent
trading in the securities of the Company.

In answering this question please address the recent press reports on
page 26 of the Sydney Morning Herald dated 5 December 2000 re
speculation Amplats and Lonrho are conducting due diligence on Delta
      Golds 50% stake in Zimbabwe.

      2. If the answer to question 1 is yes, can an announcement be made
immediately? If not, why not and when is it expected that an
      announcement will be made?

Please note, if the answer to question 1 is yes and an announcement
cannot be made immediately, you need to contact us to discuss this
and you need to consider a trading halt (see below).

      3. Is there any other explanation that the Company may have for the
price change and increase in volume in the securities of the Company?

      4. Please confirm that the Company is in compliance with the listing

rules and, in particular, listing rule 3.1.

Your response should be sent to me on facsimile number (02) 9241
7620. It should not be sent to the Company Announcements Office.

Unless the information is required immediately under listing rule
3.1, a response is requested as soon as possible and, in any event,
not later than half an hour before the start of trading (ie before
9.30 am EDST) on Wednesday 3 December 2000).

The response must be in a form suitable for release to the market. If
you have any concern about release of a response, please contact me
      immediately.

      LISTING RULE 3.1

Listing rule 3.1 requires an entity to give ASX immediately any
information concerning it that a reasonable person would expect to
have a material effect on the price or value of the entity`s
securities. The exceptions to this requirement are set out in the
      rule.

In responding to this letter you should consult listing rule 3.1 and
the guidance note titled "Continuous disclosure: listing rule 3.1".

If the information requested by this letter is information required
to be given to ASX under listing rule 3.1 your obligation is to
      disclose the information immediately.

Your responsibility under listing rule 3.1 is not confined to, or

necessarily satisfied by, answering the questions set out in this
      letter.

      TRADING HALT

It you are unable to respond by the time requested, or if the answer
to question 1 is yes and an announcement cannot be made immediately,
you should consider a request for a trading halt in the Company`s
securities. As set out in listing rule 17.1 and the guidance note
titled "Trading halts" we may grant a trading halt at your request.
We may require the request to be in writing. We are not required to
act on your request. You must tell us each of the following.

      * The reasons for the trading halt.
      * How long you want the trading halt to last.
      * The event you expert to happen that will end the trading halt.
      * That you are not aware of any reason why the trading halt should
      not be granted.
      * Any other information necessary to inform the market about the
trading halt, or that we ask for.

The trading halt cannot extend past the commencement of normal
trading on the second day after the day on which it is granted. If a
trading halt is requested and granted and you are still unable to
reply to this letter before the commencement of trading, suspension
from quotation would normally be imposed by us from the commencement
of trading if not previously requested by you. The same applies if
you have requested a trading halt because you are unable to release
information to the market, and are still unable to do so before the
      commencement of trading.

If you have any queries regarding any of the above, please let me
      know.

Lonmin sucht nach Übernahmetargets, soviel ist sicher.
Amplats will ohnehin schon mit ZIM zusammenarbeiten (Hartley).
Dennoch hoffe ich, daß Delta nicht zu billig verkaufen würde. Ich will für meine ZIM mind. 5 A$ sehen.

Miners up as talk of takeovers lift golds
      Date: 05/12/2000

      By Jan Eakin

Miners were the winners in a sluggish sharemarket yesterday, with gold stocks proving particularly attractive despite an overnight fall in the precious metal`s price.

Takeover speculation was the main driver following news that the Australian arm of North American giant Homestake Gold had taken a 7.5 per cent stake in Tanami Gold, which ended up 1c at 14c.

But Delta Gold was the star performer, gaining 10c to $1.28 as rumours swept the market that Swiss financier Mr Hans Rudolph Moser had been busy building up his stake in anticipation of a bid from one of the industry`s predators.

US giant Placer Dome, Delta`s partner at the Granny Smith gold mine in WA, has been singled out as the likely bidder.

Overseas players Amplats and Lonrho are also rumoured to be conducting due diligence on Delta`s 50 per cent stake in platinum miner Zimplats.

Broker Bell Securities has been the biggest net buyer recently.

A downturn in the US dollar was also proving beneficial, with many in the Asian market expected to start buying the commodity as their currency strengthens. Lihir Gold, highly leveraged to the US dollar, was bumped up 3c to 63c as a result.
