      I guess you are one of those old fashioned iron and steel or automotive industry fans who would sit on 15% annual growth and scream cheerfully when he discovers a stock trading a P/E of 2, maybe you can understand P/E but somehow did not grasp the concept of creating brands on the Internet or aggreagating critical masses. I also guess that this is the first time you heard about Uproar which has been trading in Europe since 1997 and which has made one enormous bucks(at least 25 folded) for its investors in 2.5 years. I think the company was set up to make serious bucks to Europe`s biggest intitutions and retailers who have carried the stock to EUR 50 levels at one stage.

      Could you tell me how many of the top 50 media metrix companies have made it there without incurring substantial losses because of the marketing spending? How many online games and gameshow companies can you give to me that has gathered 6m plus members or how many companies across the universe that manages to keep its users online for over half an hour in the last 1.5 years? I agree that they have not been particularly successfull in monetizing that audience. But that is a matter of boosting sales team being more aggressive. The 85m they have raised will enable them to make that. The traffic and pageviews Uproar generates is second to none, including peers like Yahoo games, Microsoft Zone, Sony Station, Gamesville etc, which all have deep-pocketed parents behind them, let alone the potential audience cross-pollination in those huge networks. Uproar operates on a very light model with gross margins of 80% plus and can easily become profitable once you turn the tap on the marketing spending off since half of the traffic is generated via word of mouth and its over 30,000 syndication partners. Uproar is a media company, it does not have any capital intensive assets. It is by far the largest online gaming community, superbly positioned and it is the absolute trend setter in its own vertical. If you can imagine that today 32m adults go online for pure entertainment and that the internet advertising is the fastest growing segment of the internet slated to hit USD32bn in 2004, you can probably see the growth potential that Uproar can achieve. Even now, 3.5m monthly users that spend over 30minutes generate tremendous viewer time on Uproar which make it one of the best direct marketing tools both on the internet, on interactive digitalTV, wireless and WAP platforms.

      Schaut mal den nasdaq Upro Kurs da sind die Fakten
      leider
      Der Kurs hat schon lange nix mehr mit dem Unternehmen zu tun aber leider ist er das Maß der Dinge.
