TonicsandTeas.com

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 2000--Houston InterWeb Design (OTCBB:HITD -
news), today launched phase one of its traditional Chinese Medicine Portal
http://www.TonicsandTeas.com. In conjunction with China`s State Administration of Traditional
Chinese Medicine (TCM), the e-commerce site will initially offer 140 products for 35 common
ailments.

InterWeb also announced today that it has signed an agreement with Elixir(TM) Tonics and Teas to
market the Elixir(TM) line of products on the new TCM portal.

By teaming up with InterWeb, the Chinese government wants to give its Traditional Chinese
Medicine broader access to international markets. In this massive undertaking, InterWeb is
responsible for the Internet technology and marketing expertise, and the Chinese government will
provide access to its vast databases of information, existing relationships with manufacturers as well
as thousands of years old know-how in applying these remedies to every day medical conditions.

The new site -- http://www.TonicsandTeas.com -- is intended to provide news, content and
e-commerce products for Traditional Chinese Medicine. The portal will offer Elixir(TM) brand
