net AG, a listed company (Neuer Markt, German WKN 786740), has
acquired a 25.1 percent stake in Internetwork AG, Wiesbaden, and
secured an option for an additional 50 percent share in the company.
Internetwork specializes in developing and selling so-called load
testing applications. These applications are used to assess the
performance capability and availability of network resources and
software before they are deployed as well as while they are in
service. Internetwork`s customer base is of an exceptional quality
and the company enjoys wide-scale, direct access to all key players
in the telecommunication market. Deutsche Telekom AG and Mannesmann
Arcor AG & Co number among Internetwork`s customers.
The investment in Internetwork enhances the position of the
Services division over the long term. net AG now has a sizable
competitive advantage in the top-end market for multi-service
networking technologies. net AG`s cash contribution is being
leveraged to set up a strong sales organization in the United States
of America. This gives net AG another foothold in the US market.

Durch die Beteiligung erwartet net@G eine nachhaltige Aufwertung des
Geschaftsbereichs Services und damit weitere Wachstumsschube. Im 2. Quartal
nach Borsengang hat das Unternehmen den Umsatz um 85
Prozent auf rund 66,7 Millionen DM gesteigert. Das Ergebnis
vor Zinsen, Steuern und Abschreibungen (EBITDA) konnte mit rund
4,6 Millionen DM mehr als verdoppelt werden.
