Im 3.Quartal fielen die Umsätze noch recht gering aus. Metricom konnte nur einen Umsatz in Höhe von $ 3,9 Millionen erzielen, im 3. Quartal 1999 waren es noch $ 4,8 Millionen. Der Umsatzrückgang ist hauptsächlich darauf zurückzuführen, dass Metricom den Verkauf des Ricochet 28,8 kbps Modem eingestellt hat. Metricom konzentriert sich damit voll auf seinen 128 kbps Service. Um einen schnellere Übertragung zu ermöglichen wurde gemeinsam mit Sierra Wireless die Air Card 400 entwickelt, die erstmals eine dauerhafte Verbindung mit dem Internet ermöglicht. Die Air Card 400 kann unter anderem in Laptops und Pocket- PCs, wie z.B. dem Palm eingebaut werden. Immer wenn die Geräte eingeschaltet sind besteht eine aktive Verbindung zum Internet. Dies ermöglicht völlig neue Anwendungsgebiete, erstmals können z.B. auch Videos mobil heruntergeladen werden. Die Air Card 400 ermöglicht etwa die gleiche Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit wie ISDN. Sie soll erstmals im 1. Quartal 2001 verkauft werden. Um seine Dienstleistungen flächendeckend anbieten zu können, investiert Metricom weiterhin stark in den Ausbau seiner Netze, bis Ende 2001 sollen noch $ 1,0 - $ 1,2 Milliarden investiert werden. Sollte Metricom nicht an der Finanzierung scheitern, besitzt das in San Jose, Kalifornien ansässige Unternehmen ein einzigartiges Netzwerk. Unser Kursziel liegt unverändert bei $100.

Heute gab es nur einen Kauf/Verkauf in Deutschland, statt sonst rund 5000-10000 Aktien pro Tag ging heute gerade mal 75 Stück.

Ich bin weiter bullish. Und die Umsätze an der Nasdaq deuten auf eine Trendwende hin.

Metricom ist heute bei schlechten News ca.40% im Minus bei 6-7$.
So schnell kann`s gehen.
Hat jemand eine Meinung zu diesen Wert???
