Biotech HOLDRs(SM) Debut on The American Stock Exchange Today New Depositary Receipt Issue Gives Investors Access
To Stocks of 20 Leading Biotechnology Companies

NEW YORK, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange began yesterday trading in Biotech HOLDRs(SM) Depositary Receipts, which give investors ownership interest in the stocks of 20 specified companies involved in various segments of the biotechnology industry. A total of 4.5 million depositary receipts were issued Monday at $109.18 each and will trade under the ticker symbol BBH.

``Biotech HOLDRs give investors` the ability to gain exposure to a wide range of the leading companies in this sector through the purchase of a single security,`` said Richard A. Mikaliunas, senior vice president of capital markets at the American Stock Exchange.

Biotech HOLDRs(SM) represent investors` undivided beneficial ownership interest in each of 20 underlying biotechnology stocks. Investors may buy and sell the receipts in round lots of 100 shares, just as they would any stock. Investors may also cancel their depositary receipts, receiving the underlying shares, or request creation of additional depositary receipts by delivering to the trust the required underlying stock. The 20 stocks in the trust are:

Genentech, Inc. (DNA)
Biogen, Inc. (BGEN)
Immunex Corporation (IMNX)
PE Corp-Biosystems Group (PEB)
MedImmune, Inc. (MEDI)
Chiron Corporation (CHIR)

Gilead Sciences, Inc (GILD)
Sepracor Inc. (SEPR)
IDEC Pharmaceuticals Corp. (IDPH)
QLT Photo Therapeutics Inc. (QLTI)

Hi Bitecholder, oder Fox, oder wie immer Du heißt. Kannte bisher nur die relativ langweiligen Fonds, gelistet bei "Finanzen" wie z.B. UBS, DIT etc. Nicht schlecht, als Tip für Oma und Opa, aber eben meist ohne die echten Highflyer wie CRA,INCY,AFFX, MLNM oder HGSI. War ein echt guter Tip von Dir, werde ihn weiterempfehlen.
