SanguiBioTech veröffentlicht positive Medikamenten-Tests
Das Biotechnologie-Unternehmen SanguiBioTech AG, eine hundertprozentige Tochter der Sangui BioTech Inc., veröffentlichte die Ergebnisse einer ersten Studie zu seiner Hämoglobin-Emulsion. Diese Tests belegen die Wirksamkeit der Hautbehandlung mit Sauerstoffträgern.


Elf Testpersonen erhielten innerhalb von acht Wochen zwölf Behandlungen mit den Hämoglobin-Emulsionen. Dabei wurde an der Stirn, sowie an den Mund- und Augenwinkeln eine deutliche Zunahme der Glätte und eine Abnahme der Faltigkeit der Haut gemessen.


Die Sauerstoffträger wurden bis in eine Tiefe von ca. zwölf Mikrometern in die Hornschicht transportiert. Dies ist eine Voraussetzung dafür, dass die Sauerstoffträger in den äußeren Hautzellen ihre regenerative Wirksamkeit entfalten können.


Durch vergleichende Messungen behandelter und unbehandelter Partien wurde die Zunahme des Sauerstoffpartialdrucks des Hautepithels, d.h. die verbesserte Versorgung der Epithelzellen mit Sauerstoff, nachgewiesen.

Contract for Cosmetic Indication of Oxygen Carrier
With Mercatura Cosmetics BioTech AG

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2002--Sangui BioTech International, Inc., (OTCBB:SGBI - news;
WKN 906 757) announced today that its 100% subsidiary SanguiBioTech AG, Witten, Germany has signed a cooperation-
and license contract with Mercatura Cosmetics BioTech AG, Bremen-Achim, Germany, for marketing and distribution of
Sangui`s oxygen carrier products developed for external application(a). The contract comprises the application of oxygen
carrier for decorative and anti-aging treatment of the skin. Sangui and Mercatura plan the market launch of the products at the
autumn of this year 2002.

``With Mercatura we have found a success-orientated and dynamic partner. This contract brings us a significant step closer to
market launch of our new product``, said Prof. Dr. Dr. Wolfgang Barnikol highlighting the importance of the contract.

``We are sure that we can place Sangui`s strong effective cosmetics worldwide within a short period of time. For the placement
of our anti aging products we have planned a budget of 10 Million Euros,`` said Julius Heuberger, Chief Executive Officer of
Mercatura Cosmetics BioTech AG.

Note (a): Sangui`s oxygen carriers are obtained from hemoglobin and can be applied directly to the skin with suitable emulsions.
Under normal physiological conditions, the epithelial cells of the healthy skin takes up oxygen both internally through the
bloodstream and externally. Approximately half the oxygen required gets into the active cells of the epidermis via the
surrounding air. This is where the concept from SanguiBioTech AG comes into play: the basic idea behind the method of
operation consists in the mechanism of facilitated oxygen diffusion. Worked into the skin`s outer cell layers, the oxygen carriers
enhance the diffuse flow of oxygen externally and so improve the ``skin`s breathing`` so to speak. At March 14, 2002, Sangui
announced the results of a study regarding the effectiveness of treating the skin with its oxygen carriers, which are developed
and modified into hemoglobin emulsions. The three key results of the study are: 1) Increased skin smoothness and a reduction
of wrinkles. 2) Demonstrated penetration into the horny layers of the skin. 3) Increase in the oxygen partial pressure in the skin
epithelium (= supply of bio-available oxygen in the vital epithelial cells is increased)
