K-tel His Extensive Strategic Planning Expertise

      THURSDAY, MARCH 09, 2000 8:44 AM
      - BusinessWire

MINNEAPOLIS, Mar 9, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Philip Kives, Chairman and CEO of K-tel
International, Inc. (NASDAQ:KTEL) today announced the appointment of Ken Onstad as

Onstad, a twenty-six year veteran of Musicland Stores Corporation (NYSE:MLG) has held
numerous Musicland positions, including Vice President of Strategic Planning, Managing
Director and President of United Kingdom operations.

"Mr. Onstad`s strategic expertise, and knowledge and passion for supplying music to
customers will be a tremendous asset to us at K-tel. We are pleased that he has joined the
team, bringing with him years of executive managerial experience in the music industry. Ken
will play a key role driving K-tel`s continued prominence in marketing through multiple

that technology is bringing to this industry."

Commenting on the Company`s Internet initiatives, Onstad added, "I am looking forward to

Intermallamerica.com Expands E-Commerce Solution Offerings to B2B Market; Leading
E-Commerce Solutions Provider Develops Innovative Solution for Online Wholesaler

      TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2000 1:37 PM
      - BusinessWire

      HOUSTON, Apr 18, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Intermallamerica.com (www.intermallamerica.com), a leading provider
of e-commerce solutions to businesses worldwide, announced today that it has expanded its e-commerce services to
include custom business-to-business solutions for companies outside the retail business-to-consumer marketplace.
Intermallamerica.com recently developed and designed an interactive Web solution for Electronic Business Trades`
      (ebtrades.com) multi-tiered, e-commerce Web site. This custom business-to-business (B2B) solution allows
electronic wholesalers to display and track their inventories, process online transactions and manage accounting
      through real-time back office technology.

"Until now, we have primarily provided our turnkey e-commerce solutions to businesses selling their products direct to
the consumer through our multiple online retail shopping districts," says Cheryl Austin, president and CEO of
Intermallamerica.com. "Our development work for ebtrades.com has allowed us to produce our first project-oriented
e-commerce solution geared exclusively to the B2B wholesale marketplace. We are expanding our B-2-B solution
capabilities to proactively develop and produce e-commerce solutions from the ground up."

The ebtrades.com project derived from Intermallamerica.com`s strategic partnership with Houston-based GB Tech
announced earlier this year. GB Tech assisted with the marketing and development for the project. "Our B2B solution
for ebtrades.com is a great example of what our strategic relationship with GB Tech is enabling us to do. It`s allowing
us to expand the scope of our e-commerce solution capabilities to include interactive Web site design services. GB
Tech has also been instrumental in our expansion efforts, providing us with additional marketing and technical
      assistance," adds Austin.

Intermallamerica.com`s expansion to provide global B2B e-commerce solutions represents a natural extension of its
services into the fastest growing segment of the e-commerce marketplace. According to Forrester Research
(Nasdaq:FORR) an overwhelming majority of businesses will be conducting transactions via the Internet within the
next two years. Forrester projects that U.S. business-to-business e-commerce will hit $2.7 trillion in 2004.

About EB Trades Houston-based Electronic Business Trades (ebtrades.com) allows dealers, brokers, wholesalers
and manufacturers to post their inventory on its site for free. This permits wholesale buyers to compare and save on
hundreds of products on EB Trades database.

About Intermallamerica.com Recently named one of the top 50 businesses to watch in Houston by dbusiness.com,
Intermallamerica.com is one of the most aggressive Internet e-commerce providers in the country in its pursuit to
expand e-commerce, both wholesale and retail, in the global marketplace. Intermallamerica.com has been able to
attract a rapidly growing assortment of big-name merchants from around the world to its online retail shopping districts
while providing affordable access to e-commerce enabled web sites to new market entrants. Its Internet shopping
portal, with multiple shopping districts, serves over 200 merchants in the U.S. and abroad, offering turnkey
      e-commerce solutions to businesses worldwide.
