Net Perceptions Announces David Govan as Vice President of Sales
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb 10, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Net Perceptions Inc.
(Nasdaq: NETP), the leading developer of realtime personalization technology,
today announced that David J. Govan III has joined the company as area vice
president of sales for the Eastern U.S., Latin America and Canada.
"Dave`s track record is that of a fast-track sales professional and manager,
qualities that make him the ideal candidate to take over responsibilities for
our Eastern Region," said George Moser, senior vice president of sales for Net
Perceptions. "He knows our industry and he knows how to build a strong sales
organization. He is a superb addition to the Net Perceptions team who can begin
producing results for us immediately."
Most recently, Govan was employed with Oracle Corp. as regional sales manager in
Secaucus, N.J. In his five-year career with Oracle, he focused his talents on
developing sales regions in and around the New York/East Coast region of the
United States. He twice successfully launched new East Coast major accounts
sales regions, earning a reputation as one of the highest-achieving sales
professionals in the company. Previously, he served as an account executive with
Digital Equipment Corp. in Parsippany, N.J. He began his career as an account
representative with Wallace Computer Services in New York. Govan attended the
Babson School of Executive Management in Wellesley, Mass., in 1993. He received
his bachelor`s degree in marketing, concentrating on computer science, from
Rider College, Lawrenceville, N.J., in 1984.
