Der Break-even

gegeben. Was hier fehlt ist ein durchdachtes IR-Konzept
mit mehr Pressemeldungen, einem Finanzkalender usw.
Vizrt ist da besser aufgestellt. Wegen des relativ kleinen
Free-float will man diese Aktivitäten vielleicht nicht
ausbauen.

Na also! Es geht doch aufwärts.

Orad Hi-Tec Systems kaufen
ExtraChancen

Free-Float:
Shareholder Current Shares in %
Sporis Participations B.V. 23.00
Ormat Industries Ltd. 16.10
Dr. Michael Tamir 11.40
Avi Sharir 11.40
Aquired companies 5.80
Freefloat** % 32.38
(as of 12/22/2003)
Der Bericht wird aber entsprechend den vorangegangenen
Ende Februar kommen.

TQS Implements Orad Virtual Set Solution
(January 12, 2004) Montreal, Canada--TQS, the second largest private French network in Canada, has recently added Orad`s CyberSet NT Virtual Studio as a primary production tool. The network, located in the heart of downtown Montreal, has been producing more than seven hours of live-to-air shows daily.
TQS, working closely with LOR-TECH as its system integrator, made a decision several months ago to adapt Orad’s CyberSet NT Virtual Studio system as the most suitable solution.
CyberSet is capable of seamlessly integrating live presenters with 3D computer generated photo-realistic environments and sets. It enables a single, small studio facility to acquire a variety of different looks, each suitable for a particular type of programming or show. TQS is now able to diversify the settings in its various live shows, including live-to-air news, sports, entertainment, and specials. In order to cover the widest range of shows and possible camera movements, Orad supplied TQS with Xync, its infrared tracking technology, which allows dolly, hand-held, shoulder, mounted and jib camera operation.
Currently, TQS is using the system for two of its six live daily shows. It is planning to increase the number of "CyberSet" shows to five a day by next fall.

Danke!
Ja, Pulsion erlebt eine ExPulsion.![](//img.wallstreet-online.de/smilies/eek.gif)
Einen überproportionalen Kursverlauf selbst bei
logarithmischem Chart bekommt man nicht so oft geboten.
Mein Verdacht angesichts der Kursentwicklung und der
Umsätze: Es ist ein starker (Auf-) Käufer im Markt.
Vielleicht erleben wir hier eine Übernahme.
Momentan habe ich einige Asse im Ärmel:
Articon
Easy Software
Pulsion
Utimaco
Vizrt

Press Release
ORAD Announces Availability of TGS`s
amiraVR™ Data Visualization Software for Orad’s
DVG 3D Visualization Cluster Computers.
New York, USA, February 18, 2004, Orad Hi-Tec Systems
(symbol OHT), a world leader in scalable high performance
image generators in the field of visual simulation and TV
production technology, and TGS, Inc., a leading
manufacturer of 3D visualization software products with
over 20 years experience with hi-level graphics APIs
designed to enable scalable, high-performance, real-time 3D
visualization announced today the immediate availability of
TGS’s amiraVR.Custer™ product on the Orad DVG
Visualization Cluster.
amiraVR.Cluster is a state-of-the-art three-dimensional
visualization software product offering unparalleled techniques
for creating complex data visualization. Included in these
techniques are direct volume rendering, iso-surfaces, innovative
vector field visualization tools, image segmentation, surface
reconstruction, surface simplification, and generation of
tetrahedral grids. amiraVR.Cluster is the perfect tool for
researchers working in confocal microscopy, biology,
neuroscience, medical imaging, medical simulation, geosciences,
Oil & Gas, FEM, CFD, and 3D data visualization who need to
visualize large data sets without spending an exorbonate amount
of money on hardware.
“The availability of TGS’s amiraVR.Cluster visualization product
on DVG 3D Graphics clusters, brings new levels of cost-effective
performance to amiraVR users worldwide”, said Stu Taylor Vice
President US Vis-Sim Sales for Orad, Inc. “TGS’s cluster-ready
version of amiraVR was qualified on the DVG Visualization
Cluster in a single day and brings the most comprehensive set of
visualization tools and software available to our current and
future DVG users.”
"Within the 3D visualization market, we are seeing a tremendous
shift in the preferred method of generating 3D data on a large
scale," says Steve Lutz, VP of Sales/Marketing for TGS. "Users
are looking at less expensive and more flexible methods for
visualizing their data. This paradigm shift lends itself to the use of
PC clusters to generate the types of displays that were once the
domain of the supercomputer. We feel that Orad is at the leading
edge of the PC Cluster solution for 3D data visualization."
About DVG
The DVG from Orad provides visualization scalability by chaining
two or more PCs with COTS (“commercial off the shelf”
video
cards and combining their video outputs for a single display
projector. Additional PCs can be added to increase performance
in geometry calculation, pixel/texel fill rate or volume rendering to
match the requirements of the application. No longer does
software need to be modified to match graphics hardware
architecture, the hardware itself can adapt to the application. The
DVG provides several means of chaining the PCs together, time
division, sample division, screen division, eye division and image
division. Each one provides a different mechanism for scalability
depending upon the needs of the application.
About amiraVR™:
amiraVR™ is a specialized and extended version of TGS`s amira
visualization system which is dedicated for use in immersive
installations, such as large-screen stereoscopic projections,
CAVE® or Holobench® systems. amiraVR.Cluster™ is a new
feature that allows the user to run amiraVR on a graphics cluster
driving a multi-wall display system. This extension allows the
cluster to start multiple instances of amira in a synchronized way.
Along with this exciting new cluster capability, there is also an
improved and easier to use amiraVR API. For more information
on amiraVR.Cluster, go to www.tgs.com.
About TGS:
A pioneer in VRML and interactive 3Dgraphics, TGS delivers
software development products to professional developers and
end users. TGS is the largest supplier of cross-platform software
products based upon Open Inventor. TGS has 20 years of
experience in supplying solutions in the graphics marketplace.

Hi torti,
Standard-Grafikkarten stricken lassen, was die Kosten

Nun gut ,dann wirds in 2004 verbucht.

Preliminary results 2003
The Board of Orad Hi-Tec Systems Limited (“Orad” or “the
Company”
intends to issue final results for 2003 and for the
fourth quarter of 2003 on 29 March 2004. In advance of these
results, Orad is now able to give shareholders an update on
trading performance for this period.
Turnover has grown in 2003 and is expected to be around
$15.3m (2002: $14.5m). This figure does not take account of a
major project for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, which the
Company had hoped to be able to book in 2003. However,
delays resulting from the SARS epidemic in final implementation
of the Jockey Club system mean that the acceptance testing has
slipped into 2004. To date the system has been used at several
major race meetings in Hong Kong and we hope to receive final
acceptance during the first half of 2004. We expect to be able to
book $3m of sales for this project and consequently for it to make
a major contribution to operating results in 2004.
Prospects for 2004 in other respects reflect the improving
business climate in the broadcasting sector and we continue to
expect to show good growth and improved performance in 2004.

Reichlich ruhig geworden hier.

ORAD continues to grow in the Visual Simulation
market.
March 15, 2004, Orad Hi-Tec Systems (symbol OHT), a world leader
in scalable high performance image generators in the field of
visual simulation and TV production technology, is continuing its
growth in the very important Visual Simulation market with another
order from BAE Systems.
Over a year ago BAE Systems at Warton were the very first client to
place an order for Orad’s DVG product for Visual Simulation. This
system has now been running reliably for many months. A short while
ago BAE Systems took the decision to purchase more DVG’s for the
Typhoon Active Cockpit Rig (ACR), again based up at Warton. This
system has now been running continuously for several months,
reliability being one of the key requirements.
The Orad DVG system is installed in BAE Systems Outside World
Dome at Warton. The system comprises 4 high resolution windows,
using 4 sub-renderers per channel. The 9m dome houses the Typhoon
Active Cockpit Rig (ACR), which is used to develop the associated
cockpit displays and controls for the Typhoon Aircraft. Typhoon
missions are flown by the customer pilots from the Four Nation
Eurofighter Partner Companies. The Royal Airforce have also been
using the facility to provide interim training and familiarisation for the
Typhoon Squadron pilots based at Warton. The visual database of the
UK, developed by the Visuals Team at Warton, uses 5m resolution
aerial photography supplied by GetMapping. Additional higher
resolution inserts are used for airfield and target areas.
The criteria behind BAE Systems decision were very stringent; they
needed reliability for 24 hour a day operation, performance for the
complex datasets being run, flexibility so that the system could easily be
reconfigured for future projects, an easy upgrade path to take
advantage of technology changes and finally value for money.
Current and future enhancements of the system are being undertaken
as a result of this close relationship between the Orad R&D team and
the team at Warton. Avi Sharir, CEO of Orad stated “ We are listening
closely to what our customers want, now and in the future and to this
end we will make sure we have the right products at the right time”.

ORAD Hi-Tec Systems: Ergebnisse für das Geschäftsjahr 2003 und 4. Quartal 2003
Orad Hi-Tec Systems Ltd (Frankfurt - Prime Standard; London - AIM. Symbol: OHT),

waren.
Erst:
ORAD mit Turnaround in 2004!!! Orderbuch fast leer, hier
steht eine Explosion an!
dann:

Orad`s deal with NBC for virtual graphics
Indiantelevision.com Team
(3 March 2004 2:00 pm)
Orad Systems which delivers virtual sets, on-air graphics, and sports production tools has announced an agreement with NBC Olympics for the implementation of virtual graphic enhancement tools. These will be used for the US broadcaster`s coverage of the swimming and track and field events at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
A company release states that for the second consecutive Summer Games, NBC Olympics and Orad will be working together. During the 2000 Olympic Games in Australia, Orad had provided NBC Olympics with graphic effects for the swimming contests. For the 2004 Olympic Games, NBC and Orad have decided to expand the use of the technology to more events in addition to swimming.
In Athens, NBC Olympics will be using Orad’s Cybersport technologies through various applications in order to enhance the viewer’s experience and understanding of the summer games. CyberSport virtual technology allows for the real-time insertion and integration of graphics into the field of play, enabling the viewers to identify athletes’ names and nationalities. The system has also been designed to highlight and `paint` previous world records and up-to-the-moment milestones in order to provide the viewers’ with comparative and analytical tools in real-time.
The system will once again be deployed during swimming contests to insert the national flags for each contender, as well as the current world record line. It will also be used intensively in the track and field events, including the long jump competition, where it will `paint` the ground using virtual graphics to differentiate the competitor’s jumps. During the discus throw, the system will create a `line-to-beat` for every new throw, and for the javelin throw it will highlight and note the landing point, making it clearer for viewers to follow the progress in distance reached.
Orad is also in negotiations with other broadcasters worldwide for 2004 Athens Olympic games.

HKJC executive director of racing Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges will unveil other innovations, too.
"On Sunday, with a capacity crowd on hand, we will have a trial run of our new sectional timing system, which we call `STRIDE,` " he said.
"Each jockey will have a small transponder tag placed in their helmet. As they pass one of the 31 strategically placed radio frequency receivers on the racetrack, their location will be calculated to within 10 centimeters."
This will enable the HKJC`s timers to produce what it believes will be the most accurate sectional times in the world.
Produced by the Hong Kong Jockey Club in partnership with an Israeli-based company called Orad, STRIDE is an acronym for Sectional Timing, Racing Information, Dynamic Entertainment. As the sectional times for each horse are recorded, the results will be posted almost instantaneously on Sha Tin`s huge Diamond Vision screen, thus enabling fans without binoculars, or close access to a television screen, to see exactly where each horse is at every stage of a race.
It is all rather breathtaking, but then, isn`t that exactly what horseracing is supposed to do? Take your breath away? That`s what the Hong Kong Jockey Club is in business for.

Jockey club finally gets into Stride
MURRAY BELL
The Hong Kong Jockey Club yesterday unveiled its latest weapon in the never-ending battle to give punters superior information. The sophisticated equine timing system, which goes by the acronym Stride, is now in the final stages of quality control testing and will become a regular feature of the Jockey Club`s information service in the New Year.
Stride - Sectional Timing, Racing Information, Dynamic Entertainment - has been in gestation for nearly two years and had its delivery postponed when a number of the international consultants and Jockey Club partners refused to visit Hong Kong during the Sars crisis.
But the show is well and truly back on, as evidenced by an impressive pilot display at Sha Tin yesterday.
"We must stress that Stride is really a system designed to enhance post-race analysis," said Jockey Club executive director of racing Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. "We believe it will be a big help to our customers, to make more informed decisions when horses race the next time."
One of the unique functions will be a multi-media display, updated repeatedly during a race, which will give punters the complete order of running, from the leader right back to the tail-ender, complete with colour coding.
"This is an information screen, updated every three to five seconds, the like of which you will find nowhere else in the world," Engelbrecht-Bresges said.
Jockey Club executive director of information technology Steve Beason said he and his associates would "welcome feedback" from customers in the coming months about ways the information could be best used and better displayed.
"This feedback will definitely be taken into consideration as we`re developing the final version," Beason said. "We will be announcing more details about the rolling out in January."
For the more technically minded, Stride is a network of 31 radio frequency (RF) transceivers, placed strategically around the racecourse.
Approximately 12 times per second they send RF signals that detect the small transponder tags placed in each jockey`s skull cap.
"The location process server [LPS] then calculates the tag`s location on the course, to within an accuracy range of plus or minus 10 centimetres," Beason said.
"From the LPS, sectional times are captured and tracking data is sent to the graphics systems for multimedia display - including the Jockey Club`s world-record-sized Diamond Vision screen in the centre of Sha Tin racecourse."
The Jockey Club`s partner in the project, an Israel-headquartered company called Orad, brands itself a "world leader in real-time virtual imaging and processing technologies".
And while the Stride system is the first of its type to be produced anywhere, all parties admit the most exciting potential uses of the new technology probably haven`t been thought of yet.

HKIR News : STRIDE set to deliver unparalleled race analysis to Club customers
12 December 2003
The Hong Kong Jockey Club is developing a timing and tracking system that provides the sectional times (or splits) for each horse in a race.
Sectional Timing Racing Information Dynamic Entertainment, or STRIDE, has been in testing since January this year, and will be demonstrated for the first time during the Hong Kong International Races programme this coming Sunday, 14 December.
ORAD, a company that specializes in virtual image processing technologies and is headquartered in Israel, partnered with the Club to develop the system. "Ours is the first racing organization in the world to try it out," said Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, the Hong Kong Jockey Club`s Executive Director of Racing. "We feel confident in saying STRIDE is state-of-the-art. No other timing system for races that`s been developed to date is its equal."
STRIDE involves placing a small transponder, or "tag," in a pocket on the forehead section of a jockey`s cap. Thirty-one radio frequency transceivers are placed at various locations around the track, and every 80 milliseconds (or 12.5 times per second) they send a signal that detects the transponder.
A location processing server, or LPS, then calculates the tag`s location on the track. From the LPS, sectional times are calculated for all horses in the race.
In the 2000-metre Asia`s World City International Cup Trial run at Sha Tin on 15 November, STRIDE calculated the winner, Elegant Fashion, as running the opening 400 metres in 26.622 seconds (sixth fastest in the field of twelve), the second 400 metres in 24.194 seconds(fourth fastest), the third 400 metres in 24.671 seconds (eighth fastest), the fourth 400 metres in 23.270 seconds (fifth fastest) and the closing 400 metres in 23.065 seconds (second fastest).
At no juncture of the race did Elegant Fashion register the fastest 400-metre section. Conversely, a horse named Raider ran the fastest 400-metre section four out of five times, including the final section. Yet, Elegant Fashion was triumphant, and Raider finished 1 ¾ lengths behind him in third.
Elegant Fashion`s sectional times, when added together, totaled 2:01.822. Raider`s added up to 2:02.053. The Hong Kong Jockey Club refers to these as "accumulated sectionals," because they differ minutely from a horse`s final time, which is determined when his nose intersects with an electronic beam that stretches across the track.
As the sectional times calculated by STRIDE are from the jockey`s forehead, the resulting clockings are nearly the same, but not precisely so.
In the 1600-metre International Mile Trial, also run on 15 November at Sha Tin, four different runners in the 13-horse field registered the fastest times for individual 400-metre sections. But none of them finished better than third. The winner, Lucky Owners, ran the fourth fastest opening section, the tenth fastest second section, the twelfth fastest third section and the third fastest closing section. His margin of victory was a short head.
But in the 1000-metre International Sprint Trial, the winner, Silent Witness, ran the fastest opening section of 200 metres, the third fastest middle section of 400 metres and the fastest closing section, which was also 400 metres in distance. Sectional times for the second-place finisher, Cheerful Fortune, ranked second, second and third, respectively. A short head separated the two horses at the finish.
Recent upgrades at Sha Tin include the installation a Diamond Vision screen in the track`s infield. Measuring eight metres high x 70.4 metres long (roughly 26 feet x 230 ½ feet), it is recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records as the largest on the globe for a sporting facility.
STRIDE provides a number graphical enhancements to Diamond View as a race is being run, including an exact positioning of every horse at any point during the race.
"Coupled with the Diamond Vision`s ability to show ultra-sharp images from three different perspectives simultaneously as the race is run, this is a marvelous improvement in the racing experience for on-site fans," said Steve Beason, the Hong Kong Jockey Club`s Executive Director of Iinformation Technology.
Information produced by STRIDE, including the sectional times of all horses, will be available free-of-charge on the Web, Beason said. It will also, in due course, be available for free on-track via Sha Tin¡¦s public information machines.

The key to better TV sports

How virtual graphics technology enhances the game viewing experience
Over the last five years, the look of live sports telecasts has changed dramatically due to live sports graphics production tools. Because this cutting edge technology enables real-time graphics to appear on the playing field, viewers at home are better able to appreciate the progress and challenges of a particular sports event.
There’s also a complementary technology, known as Virtual Advertising, where ads, such as signs, banners and Virtual Jumbotrons, are inserted into the playing field so seamlessly that viewers believe they are really there. In the age of TiVo, where TV viewers can easily skip over commercial breaks, virtual advertising is a very promising way to promote products within the on-air presentation. So statistic-hungry sports fans benefit from useful, timely illustrations and informative displays, such as distances traveled, speeds, lines of scrimmage, and identification of the competitors-well beyond just having the score and clock and advertisers have an innovative, new avenue for marketing products to the coveted television sports audience, and broadcasters have a new source of advertising revenue.
One of the leading providers of these systems has been Sportvision, Inc., headquartered in Chicago with offices in New York and Mountain View, Calif. With products considered the de facto standard in live sports graphics production tools. Sportvision’s client list includes, ABC, ESPN, NBC, Fox Sports Net and Fox, among other broadcast networks. Besides its relationships with the National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Baseball, and other professional sports organizations, Sportvision has expanded its portfolio of live, real-time graphics production systems to enhance the TV viewing of football, ice hockey, baseball, NASCAR, golf, among other sports.
Although Sportvision has owned this market domestically, Orad Hi-Tec Systems, based is Israel with a U.S. office in New York, has begun to compete for market share in this sector with its own line of sophisticated live sports graphics production and virtual advertising solutions. While the company has made a name for itself in virtual sets and 2D/3D on-air graphics systems, its sports production tools have enjoyed success mainly in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. But Orad is targeting U.S. broadcasters’ business by focusing on the cost-efficiency and ease of use of its solutions.
GO FOR THE GOAL
One of the most successful implementations of sports production technology has been the virtual “1st and Ten” line – the 3D yellow line that appears magically on the grass to illustrate where players are in relation to this strategic play. This Emmy-winning 1st and Ten line technology, which was invented by Sportvision will be featured on all ESPN and ESPN2 NFL and NCAA college football telecasts in 2003. With this August 2003 announcement, Sportvision says the popular yellow line will be used on more than 160 televised NFL and NCAA football games on ESPN and ESPN2.
“It is tremendous that ESPN shares our commitment to maximizing the experience for sports fans who tune in to the network,” says Hank Adams, CEO of Sportvision. “We are excited that ESPN continues to stand behind our technologies and by expanding our business relationship, allows every football fan tuned to an ESPN or ESPN2 telecast to enjoy the Yellow Line.”
Sportvision also nabbed some ESPN business from Princeton Video Image (PVI), a competitor in the live sports graphics production arena, which recently filed for bankruptcy following de-listing by the Nasdaq. (While Lawrenceville, NJ-based PVI is struggling, it has retained one of its key customers, CBS Sports.)
As a result of this ESPN coup, Sportvision is now providing Behind-the Batter Virtual Billboards for ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball.” This ESPN program has already been using Sportvision’s K-Zone – the virtual strike zone that is inserted into broadcast video to accurately outline the strike zone boundaries while highlighting the position of the ball as it crosses the plate. But, as of March 2003, ESPN began presenting this technology in High Definition Television (HDTV).
While Orad has just introduced a competing product to 1st and Ten called CyberLine (at NAB 2003), to enhance televised American football, the company has had great success marketing its CyberSport live graphics production line, for such sports as soccer, track and field, and horse racing, abroad. Orad’s soccer system can draw a 9-meter penalty circle around the ball before a free kick, illustrating the zone from which the opposing team is excluded. In addition, offside lines can be drawn onto a video sequence or a recorded video frame; and distances between two points and average speeds can also be instantly extracted.
Also, Orad’s HorseTrack, which has been used by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, among others, is able to highlight horses, running order, and real-time stats, such as speed and distance to the finish line. This is accomplished by placing advanced, proprietary wireless transmitters into the jockey’s helmets or to the horses to track their locations, and graphical simulations of the race can be displayed during the live telecast, or transmitted via the Internet or cellphones. For track and field events, Orad’s CyberSport technology can be used to draw a virtual line onto the field showing an athlete’s personal best or the current world record to beat.
VIRTUALLY REAL
When graphics effects like the 1st and Ten line are well executed, TV viewers can almost believe that the yellow line is really there on the field. While the technology used by Sportvision is very powerful and complex, the yellow line is basically achieved by intensive computer processing of data from sensors placed on the cameras to detect pan, tilt, zoom and focus movements, combined with a computerized 3D model of the field. The system can distinguish between subtle shades, like the green in the grass versus the green in the player uniforms so the yellow line always stays fixed on the field and people running over it block it from view.
“By having powerful yet compact processing right at the venue, and by processing to one-thirtieth of a second, the yellow line performs better and the illusion is sustained regardless of how quickly the director changes between camera views, or the movement of the cameras,” says Mike Jakob, COO for Sportvision.
However, last March 2003, Sportvision announced the availability of a version of 1st and Ten that allows broadcasters to do in-studio insertion of the effect, as well as 3-D telestration and virtual playbooks, which draw plays right on the field and these markings remain in a fixed position relative to the field regardless of how the video picture moves. “The enhanced system essentially allows broadcasters to utilize the 1st and Ten line in a much more effective manner, without compromises to quality or any aspects of the broadcast,” says Stan Honey, president and CTO of Sportvision and inventor of the 1st and Ten system. “Prior to this development, a broadcaster’s only option was to stream the technology from the event venue. Now, however, broadcasters are afforded the flexibility to stream on-site, in-studio, or from other locations, depending on their needs and budget constraints.”
Orad’s sensor-based technology, CyberSport, has a companion in-studio insertion system called CyberSport Studio. “CyberSport Studio is newer technology that was developed to reduce costs and to simplify the technology to make it easier to use,” says Kobi Shina, director of sales for Orad, Inc., in New York, NY. “With the hardware sensor-based technology, there is the expense of sending crews and equipment to the venue (such as the stadium), plus the time consuming process of calibrating the sensors and cameras. With the newer sensor-less, in-studio version, we eliminate those labor, shipping, and travel costs, reducing the overall cost of using this technology by about 50 percent per game. Over the course of the season, that amounts to considerable savings.”
With CyberSport Studio, broadcasters can sit in a studio or broadcast center and using a clean feed delivered from the venue, the graphics are added using image processing technologies, such as image pattern recognition. “In response to market pressure, we had to find a creative way to reduce costs, and to make this technology available to a wider range of broadcasters and sports events, and our new CyberSport Studio is the answer.”
Looking ahead, both Orad and Sportvision say their solutions have been developed with HDTV in mind. In fact, Sportvision’s K-Zone and virtual billboards systems have been used since July 2003 in the HDTV broadcasts of “Sunday Night Baseball” by ESPN. Also, as viewers become accustomed to seeing graphics such as “1st and Ten line” in high-profile sporting events, both Orad and Sportvision believe that growing market demand will encourage broadcasters to use these on-air graphics systems more extensively, in every game of a season, and for many different sports.

New York, USA, July 2, 2003. Orad Hi-Tec Systems (Neuer Markt: SIN 928 634), a world leader in virtual sets, broadcast graphics and sports technologies, (Neuer Markt: OHT.f) and Post Time Technologies Inc., (www.posttimetech.com) announced today the signing of an `Exclusive Distributor`s Agreement" for Orad`s HorseTrack system for the U.S. and Canadian Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound racing industries
The Agreement also provides Post Time with the exclusive rights for the sale of data streams derived from Orad products to racetracks, information and data providers, resellers and the general public through Post Time`s North American distribution channels and Affiliate Partners. In addition, Orad`s standard broadcast equipment will also be offered to the U.S. and Canadian racing industries through Post Time`s marketing arm.
HorseTrack - is a revolutionary tracking and identification system for sports events based on wireless technologies. HorseTrack, which targets broadcasting as well as the on-line webcasting market, is set to revolutionize the industry with its ability to produce broadcast enhancement and live webcasts of horse racing over a narrowband link. This technology is ideal for on-line gaming and betting.
Avi Sharir, Orad`s Co-Founder, President & CEO stated that: "HorseTrack is one of Orad`s biggest growth engines generating unique data assets and bringing the horse race experience and betting capabilities to new audiences at the on track, home and on the move. Post Time Technologies with its vast experience in the industry in the North American market is the ideal partner for this venture".
Over the past year and a half, the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has tested the tracking ability and accuracy of the system and generated a live graphical display races in real-time. Orad has recently completed the first installations of the system at the HKJC`s Happy Valley and Sha Tin Race Courses. The technology is expected not only to augment the HKJC already extensive horse racing & training databases, but also enrich the experience of the viewers at the track as well as those watching races on TV and on the Internet.
Hardave Gill, President & CEO of Post Time Technologies stated; "We are very pleased to be chosen by Orad as their exclusive North American representative for this incredible technology. HorseTrack promises to revolutionize the way patrons view live race broadcasts while at the same time providing real-time analytical data. The system has the ability to create the most comprehensive value-added historical data which will change and enhance the entire handicapping process."
HorseTrack uses advanced, proprietary wireless technologies to continuously track the locations of miniature tags that are attached to the jockey`s helmets. The data is updated 30 times per second, with the system able to track up to 30 tags simultaneously.
HorseTrack enables live webcasting of horse racing over the Internet thus overcoming the bandwidth constraints associated with video streaming on the Internet following the same concept of TOPlay, Orad`s soccer webcasting product jointly developed with Intel.
This unique information will provide a nucleus database for an archive, servicing handicappers, and used to determine statistics not available at present (such as a virtual race, fatigue rates etc.).
The output will be broadcast across all possible media channels: kiosks and monitors throughout race tracks, OTBs and simulcast facilities, television, web and cellular devices. HorseTrack`s display can be either 2D or 3D in amazing quality and allows the viewer/user to choose different point of views, select a horse etc.
Gill went on to say, "The HorseTrack system promises to change the way horses are timed or tracked during races and workouts, and improve the degree of accuracy of the resulting data. HorseTrack`s ability to provide individual fractional times for each runner in a race, at each point of call, is something that every racetrack and handicapper has been waiting for. The resulting data, graphics and instant 2D or 3D replays are a natural fit for Post Time`s established on-track kiosks and carrels, as well as our Internet distribution networks such as RaceReplays.com and our soon to be deployed wireless platforms."
Orad will be integrating HorseTrack with its IMadGINE, CyberSport and 3D On Air Graphics systems thus allowing the real time object and camera tracking to provide the ultimate sports broadcasting experience.

Klar doch!!!

Seltsam, was der Makler da in Frankfurt treibt.

Grüße und schönes WE

Hi schnautze,
worden. Wenn hier lediglich Frick pushen würde, dann wäre
ich erst mal raus. Mit dem Focus Money-Bericht sieht es
aber anders aus. Kann mir gut vorstellen, dass Frick die
kommende Woche weiter macht.

HONG KONG
With an expected $9.2 billion in handle in 2003, both ontrack and offtrack, from only 78 days of racing at Sha Tin and Happy Valley, the HKJC knows how to keep their customers wanting more and more and more.

Orad and VertigoXmedia Announce Automated 3D Broadcast Graphics Solutio
20th April, 2004

Orad Hi-Tec Systems and VertigoXmedia have announced a new turnkey solution for real-time 3D graphics designed specifically for broadcasters seeking a sophisticated and contemporary on-air look for weather, sports, and news graphic applications.
The package, based on Orad`s DVG graphics computer and Vertigo`s Producer Xmedia template-based broadcast automation platform, provides the broadcaster with a customized turnkey solution that includes hardware, integration, creation of custom-built 3D graphics, and on-air branding functionality. It will become available in both SD and HD formats.
Orad`s DVG, one of the most powerful video-graphics computers currently available in the marketplace, is capable of running multiple, concurrent graphics events on screen, including crawls/tickers, animated station logos, multiple video insertions (for satellite interviews), lower thirds, animated 3D elements, supers, bugs, and more.
The Producer Xmedia platform is currently used by many of the world`s largest broadcasters, and VertigoXmedia`s creative services and production teams have delivered some of the highest profile real-time 3D broadcast productions in the industry. The combination of the ProducerXmedia platform, the Orad DVG graphics system, and the VertigoXmedia services team provides an unprecedented solution for all broadcasters interested in adding data-driven 3D graphics to their on-air look.
The package includes easy-to-use tools for building a variety of 2D and 3D templates addressing weather, sports, and general news needs. On-air graphics can be linked to live data sources by simple drag-and-drop operations, allowing non-technical personnel to build advanced graphics applications quickly and easily. The system does not require phasing out or scrapping already existing graphic platforms (from vendors such as Chyron or Pinnacle). In fact, the system`s open architecture easily integrates with existing 2D graphic platforms and harnesses them to augment the station`s overall on-air look.
As such, outdated and conventional 2D platforms become an integral part of the solution and can gradually be replaced by the new 3D solution. This unique approach guarantees that broadcasters have an upgrade path with future add-ons and increased performance, without the need to commit to a large investment right away.
The solution is also ideal for stations and TV groups that are looking for centralcasting applications. The concept of "create once, use many times" allows different stations in different markets to share templates and graphic elements. This is a classic "economies of scale" approach as all the stations in a group can access a central gallery of previously designed templates and retrieve the ones relevant to their needs.
