will hiermit den ersten Thread zu o.g. Wert eröffnen.
Zum Thema Digital - TV - Aktien wurde in einem Printmedium kürzlich die Aktie von Chipmos zum Kauf empfohlen. Die Geschichte liest sich recht interessant , daher hier kurz einige Auszüge.

Das Unternehmen aus Taiwan hat sich auf das Testen von Halbleitern spezialisiert , die in LCD - Bildschirmen zum Einsatz kommen. Für das abgelaufene zweite Quartal hat Chipmos den Umsatz im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 86% auf 128 mio. Dollar oder 0,32$ je Share sogar versechsfacht !!!
Bei den aktuellen Gewinnschätzungen von 0,95 Dollar für das kommende Jahr müsste die Aktie eigentlich doppelt so hoch stehen wie aktuell. Eine erstklassige Kaufgelegenheit.

Chipmos notiert aktuell um 6,40 US - Dollar , 05er KGV ca. 6 bei 05eUmsatz von 606 mio.$

Gefragt war auch ein asiatischer Technologiewert. Für ChipMOS Technology (WKN 765 449) lagen überwiegend Kauforders vor. Das Unternehmen konnte laut einem Bericht auf internetaktien.de im Monat August seine Umsätze weiter steigern. Der Halbleiterspezialist habe ein Plus von 65 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr erwirtschaftet. Erst Ende August habe das Unternehmen zudem die Übernahme der Test- und Vermögenswerte von First International Computer Testing and Assembly Technology (FICTA) bekannt gegeben und erwarte nun, diese Übernahme demnächst abschließen zu können. Offensichtlich steht noch die Zustimmung der Regulierungsbehörden aus. In Berlin legten die Aktien heute um über fünf Prozent zu und notierten um 15:20 Uhr bei 5,05 Euro.

Ich finde die Aktie von Chipmos auch sehr interessant. Ich habe unten noch die Zahlen von August 2004 reinkopiert. Das sieht alles sehr gut. Die Umsätze und die Gewinne steigen kontinuierlich und mit hohen Prozentzahlen. Ist jemandem etwas bekannt über Schulden von Chipmos? Falls nicht, ist das ein wirkliches Schnäppchen. Und das gut daran finde ich ist, das die Aktie bisher recht unbekannt ist und einen tollen chart aufweist.Würde mich über weitere Diskussionen und Beiträge freuen.

Hallo IMOS - Anleger , erneut ein positiver Börsentag heute ! Imos kratzt an der 7$-Marke, und das bei dem doch recht negativen Gesamtumfeld. Hier sollte man getrost dabeibleiben , die 10$ sind hier noch in 04 möglich.
Weiteres Augenmerk sollte ebenfalls auf die Aktie von 8x8 ( eght ) gelegt werden. ( Ziel 6$ bis 12/04 )

Denkt bitte in Gottes Namen an den Edelmetallsektor ! Miramar notiert heute in NY bei 1,27US$ ( +10,5% ).
Neben Coeur gefällt mir besonders Wheaton River unheimlich gut ! Hier ist man neben Gold , auch in Silber und Kupfer engagiert ! ( KGV 17 !!!!! )
Es gibt nicht wenige inst. Stimmen , welche bedingt durch die Marktenge des Edelmetallsektors, eine Hype erwarten , die die Interneteuphorie von 99/00 noch in den Schatten stellen könnte.( MK des gesamten Sektors etwa die von Microsoft !!!! )
Also , diversifiziert Euer Depot ordentlich !!!

Hallo IMOS Anleger ! Hee , +14,8% in NY , ohne News !
Trader sollten durchaus die % mal kurzfristig generieren und bei ca. 7,20$ wieder einsteigen. Längerfristig bleibt IMOS natürlich weiterhin ein Kauf.

Wheaton River heute trotz der DOW - Rally bombenfest , Miramar hat ca.3,5% abgegeben ; eine ideale Einstiegs - bzw. Nachkaufchance. Montag dürfte Miramar deutlich über 1,30 US$ steigen. Mein KZ für Miramar beträgt 20US$ , auf Sicht von 24 Monaten , ( u.a. ) vorausgesetzt , Bush bleibt "chef at white house" *g* ( oberflächlich betrachtet... )

Unterstützung wird sich spätestens bei ~ 8 $ finden, wobei es vorab so aussieht, als ob jetzt bei 8,30 $ Boden gefunden ist. Sollte der Nasdaq mal wieder ein wenig anziehen wird Chipmos vermutlich überproportional profitieren.

Yup, wie zu erwarten war hat sich Chipmos heute etwas erholt, Übersee wurde mit fast 2,5% plus geschlossen, gegen den Trend des Nasqaq. Gehe davon aus, das wir morgen auch ein Plus aus Vorzeichen, unabhänging von Intel`s Zahlen.
Viel Erfolg weiterhin allen.

Korrektur:


Chipmos hat Schulden, aber zügig fallend. Bedenkt man die Zukäufe und hohen Investitionen ins steigende Geschäft, ist das in Ordnung. Mit gefällt vor allem, dass Chipmos jeden Rückschlag locker wegsteckt. Ein Zeichen von Stärke.

Sehe ich ähnlich. Dass nach dem Anstieg eine Rückschlag kommt, war klar. Aber toll war auch wie Chipmos sich wieder erholt hat.

Wenn der Ölpreis wieder sinkt und der Gesamtmarkt anzieht, bin ich einmal gespannt, wo Chipmos landet. Mein persönliches Kursziel liegt bei 12-14 USD.

Die Quartalsberichte sind allesamt unauditiert, d.h. nicht unabhängig geprüft. D.h. muß eigentlich nichts heißen, bringt aber doch ein klein wenig Unsicherheit bzgl. der richtigkeit dieser Berichte. Hab da mal bei anderen firmen schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. ( @ Nachteule - Du wießt sicher welche ich meine ) .

Ansonsten sieht der Laden wirklich gut aus.

Man Muss nicht alles aus der Perspektive der Amerikaner sehen. Und Chipmos ist keine Klitsche. Der Vertrag mit Samsung sollte alle Unsicherheiten beseitigen.

Was mir eher Sorgen macht, ist der Gesamtmarkt. Und das Öl...

Wie beurteilt ihr die Zahlen?

Sieht doch ordentlich aus, wenn es so weiter geht. Ein KGV von 10 ist doch noch nicht zu hoch. Die 9 USD sollten nachhaltig überwunden werden, um dann die 10 USD zu nehmen.
Persönliches Kursziel ca. 12 USD.

Der Umsatz von 116 Millionen in Q3 war ja bereits bekannt, der Gewinn von 17 Cent ist eher enttäuschend. Zudem gab die Firma einen nicht berauschenden Ausblick auf Q4. Der Kursabsturz war die logische Konsequenz dieser Meldung!

es scheint mir so als habe sich der Kurs von Chipmos bei 5,40€ eingependelt bzw. gefangen.
Mein stopploss wurde bei 6€ vor 2 Wochen ausgeführt da
mir der Kursabstieg zu schnell war. (bei 5,13 gekauft)
Seid Ihr noch dabei?
Überlege gerade nochmals einzusteigen, weil man ja gesehen hat das sich auch Sigma Designs von den Kursverlusten
der vergangenen Wochen etwas erholt hat.

weitere Kandidaten meiner watchlist:
Silicon Storage: produziert Flash-Speicher und ist kurz davor den 100Tage-Schnitt zu überwinden
Chinadotcom: chinesische Internetaktie. Der Kurs leidet jetzt unter den Gewinnmitnahmen der Quartalszahlen.
Bei dieser Aktie ist es meiner Meinung nach schwierig sich auf dem laufenden zu halten. (da die englischen Texte natürlich viele facgspezifische Begriffe haben)

Setzt du nur auf Maydorn-Aktien?? Ich überlege mir ebenfalls bei Chipmos nochmal ein paar Aktien nachzulegen,Sigma Designs habe ich ebenfalls im Depot.Vergiss Chinadotcom,schau dir mal den Chart an,das sagt wohl alles.
Schau dich lieber auch mal im Biotech- oder im Nanotechsektor um, z.B. Altair (ALTI) oder Biophan (BIPH).
Nicht alle Maydorn-Empfehlung sind top,aber Silicon Storage,Chipmos und Sigma Designs gehören definiv dazu.Haben alle das Potenzial sich zu verdreifachen

Dass viele Anleger aus Chipmos wieder rausgehen ist reine Börsenpsychologie.Auf der einen Seite kann Chipmos die Gewinnerwartungen der Analysten nicht treffen,der andere Grund ist die Wandelanleihe über 75 Mio Dollar,die langfristig gut ist.Aus diesen Gründen flüchten die Anleger aus diesem Wert.Am Mittwoch nach Börsenschluss werden die Zahlen dann bekannt gegeben und daher verabschieden sich viele Anleger im Vorfeld.Ich rechne damit,dass es danach wieder deutlich aufwärts gehen wird,denn schlechte Zahlen sind im Kurs schon eingepreist.Kein Grund zur Panik!

Ist doch alles in Butter!
Der Umsatz ist zwar im Vergleich zum Vorquartal leicht gesunken, aber die Bruttomarge ist nach wie vor bei ca. 30%! Deshalb sehe ich den Gewinnrückgang nicht so tragisch!
Die sind brutal unterbewertet für einen Chipwert und haben in der Tat das Potential sich zu vervielfachen!
Langfristig für mich Strong-Buy!

Schließlich handelt es sich um ein Halbleiterunternehmen!
Bei einem einigermaßen freundlichen Umfeld gehe ich davon aus, dass die sich zumindest zeitweise verdoppeln werden vom jetzigen Kurs aus! Also bis zum Hoch vom Januar!
Außerdem werden laut Samsung ab 2005 die Überkapazitäten im LCD Bereich wieder abgebaut sein, was sich positiv auf IMOS auswirken sollte!

NEW YORK, December 14 (newratings.com) - Analyst Satya Chillara of RBC Capital Markets upgrades Chipmos Technology (CHY.FSE) to "sector perform." The target price has been raised from $8 to $10.

In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the upgrade in rating is partly based on valuation. The analyst believes that Chipmos Technology is poised to benefit in the near term from the recovery in the LCD driver IC packaging business and the recent FICTA acquisition. Chipmos Technology`s strategy of focusing on the key LCD driver IC packaging and memory back-end services, while reducing its focus on the low-margin turnkey services, would boost the company`s gross margins in the forthcoming years.

ChipMOS Bermuda Announces Changes to Its Board of Directors



HSINCHU, Taiwan, Dec. 21 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. ("ChipMOS" or "the Company") (Nasdaq: IMOS) announced today that according to information released by the Taipei District Prosecutor`s Office, Mr. Hung-Chiu Hu and Mr. Jwo-Yi Miao, two directors of ChipMOS, have been indicted by the Taipei District Prosecutor`s Office in connection with alleged embezzlement during the late 1990s at Pacific Electric Wire & Cable Co. Ltd., a company incorporated in Taiwan and, until April 28, 2004, listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. It has also been reported that Mr. Hu has been taken into custody by the Taipei District Prosecutor`s Office in connection with the indictment. In addition, according to the information released by the Taipei District Prosecutor`s Office, Mr. Robert Ma Kam Fook, also a director of ChipMOS, has been implicated in connection with the alleged embezzlement at Pacific Electric Wire & Cable Co. Ltd. Mr. Hu was previously the Chairman of ChipMOS prior to May 19, 2004, and, other then as a director, currently holds no office at ChipMOS. Messrs. Miao and Ma are neither officers nor employees of ChipMOS.

Mr. Ma submitted his resignation from the board of directors of ChipMOS, effective as of December 18, 2004.

At a meeting of the board of directors of ChipMOS on December 21, 2004, the board of directors resolved to accept Mr. Ma`s resignation and to request Messrs. Hu and Miao to resign from the board of directors of ChipMOS.

The board of directors of ChipMOS also removed Messrs. Hu and Miao from their positions on any committees of the board of directors and appointed Mr. Yeong-Her Wang, an independent director, to the audit committee and Mr. Pierre Laflamme, an independent director, to the compensation committee. ChipMOS is currently in the process of identifying additional independent directors to serve on its board of directors.

The board of directors of ChipMOS also established a special investigation committee of independent directors to identify and investigate any past and present dealings between ChipMOS, including its subsidiaries and affiliates, and Messrs. Hu, Miao and Ma and any companies or entities affiliated with any of them. The special investigation committee comprises Messrs. Pierre Laflamme and Yeong-Her Wang, both independent directors, and will be assisted by independent legal and accounting advisors to be selected by the special investigation committee. The special investigation committee will report its findings to the board of directors upon conclusion of the investigation. At this time, the special investigation committee cannot estimate how long the investigation will require nor when it will report its findings to the board of directors.
