Obwohl mir das aktuelle Ergebnis eigentlich egal sein müßte, weil ich größere Mengen diese "Zockeraktie" als Langfrist-Investment halte, würde mich doch die Meinung des einen oder anderen SNMM-Gurus interessieren.
Im Raging-Bull-Board z.B. werden die Zahlen als Desaster bewertet.

Hallo,

in Kürze, ich habe mir den CC angehört live. Ist gerade zuende gegangen. Die Zahlen sind sehr gut. Man solle sich eben nicht nur das Ergebnis anschauen sondern die Zukunft. Bei einer solchen einschneidenden Periode mit Gerichtskosten, Superanwälten es geht schließlich um die Existenz, darf es nicht verwundern, daß ein Minus rauskommt. Wichtig ist die Enormen Umsatzzuwächse allein hier sieht man welches Potential in SNMM steckt in Zukunft zu wachsen. Die Softwareentwicklung und die bessere LN Auswahl stimmt mich positiv. Andeutungen über neue Deals und Jointventures.. wurden gemacht ohne konkrete Zeitplanung. Lotterien sind für Mai geplant sowie Bingo. Pferde sind für spätestens 4 September fertig. Nasdaq wurde vorab kontaktiert und sie haben sich geäußert, daß nach der Lösung der RCMP Geschichte ein Listing nichts im Wege steht. Also werden alle Anstrengungen lt. ME unternommen die Sache zu lösen.

Ich denke das reicht mal vorerst.

Adult sale. Last Q we signed agreement, but purchaser failed to execute so we obtained another offer. Process going well; expect completion "very shortly." This is to "large measure" complete but there is more to do. Divestiture of non core assets will help SN grow.

Q: Per share loss and number outstanding?
A: Outstanding just under 31M; 15 cent loss per share this quarter.
Q: Any further dilution anticipated?
A: These are formerly restricted shares; stock options for employees. In the future the option plan for employees. Fully diluted for plan is 5M shares over 2 years. No further dilutions planned other than for any financing
Q: What’s going on with RCMP?
A: No charges filed. No charges expected. Our restructuring will likely facilitate resolution. Looking for settlement. Hard to predict when issue will be resolved. But resolving this is a high priority. Len Doust continues to work the issue. We have retained the highest quality counsel to guide restructuring to resolve this.
Q: Will this have to be resolved for Nas listing?
A: We think so. Nas has already told us that SN will be qualified when RCMP is resolved.
Q: What about the kiddie porn charge?
A: Absolutely no evidence that SN was involved with that form of pornography. I believe those allegations were made to "add to sensationalism." I would not be running this company if it had ever been involved in kiddie porn. RCMP focused on gaming.
Q: You’ve not measured up regarded accounts receivable compared to others in the industry. How and when do you plan to resolve this issue. What steps are being taken to purge weak licensees?
A; That’s the focus of our write offs. We’ve been going through licensee base to identify low volume or no business; took 1.4M bad debt loss. All AR recorded first 2 quarters of this year. RCMP damaged ability of some licensees to attract capital and others stepped back from their marketing. 14 weak licensees were identified. We will still try to collect, but some firms our offshore. We will try to take their URLs for our use or for sale.
We revised our criteria for accepting licensees. and our strong licensees are growing better than ever. 30% Q increase in royalty revenue. Trend expected to continue.
Q: How much longer can you operate with these losses without equity financing?


A: We anticipate continued revenue increases and our cash position has not been impacted by AR actions to created loss.
A: Cash 6M; 6.9M still frozen. Expect resolution next 2 or 3 months. Also have 4.5M in reserves with CC processors and 2 to 3M could be released in next few months. No equity financing expected for the short term.
Q: On adult sale, were any SN management part of original purchaser?
A: No. New sale is for 3.6M with 20% up front with earn out over period of time.
Q: Would SN consider guaranteeing that all bets will be paid to reassure gamblers?
A: We basically have that policy already internally, as we demonstrated with the LVC affair. We will be "shoring up that policy."
Q: Levy suit?
A: I am now personally suing Levy as is SN and we may shift the venue for pursuit of the suit.
Q: Next quarter EPS projection?
A: Can’t project, but current quarter adjustments are one time adjustments. These include: bad debt; 1.7M legal costs; one time reduction of royalty revenues from one licensee; new 2000 software caused amortization of 473,000. So total of 4.6M of one time adjustments.
Q: Why should investors support you as CEO?
A: SN is on the right track in terms of internet opportunities and our business model is designed to succeed. We have two major advantages: size of market overall projected to 2-3B by end 2002 and we are one of 4 or 5 leading software providers and with restructuring and new management we are positioned to lead the industry in the next phase of this industry competition and consolidation. Unexpected strategic partners now interested in SN; looking to expand into Europe and Australia. As for me, I have unswerving support of staff and senior management.
Q: What’s your product schedule now?

A: Some of our products have been delayed by raid and restructuring, but we have deadlines coming: 13 Java games, 7 casino games, 6 lottery games. Lottery games delivered to licensees in next couple of weeks (I think ME said May launch??). Pari-mutuel phase 2 by end of summer—Sept 4 at the latest. New SB products release in August. Thus far, we have taken a conservative view on PRs; we don’t announce until delivery.
Q: What is total licensee base now? How many in pipeline? Any new?
A: We have "made a provision for a doubtful account" for the 14 bad licensees. End of Jan, we had 41 active licensees, but some of the 14 are in that 41. Over last 18 months we had up to 51 licensees; some have dropped out over last 6 months. Right now we have 41 up and 5 or 6 more signed. These 5 or 6 have not been announced yet. Licensee signup will slow with our stricter criteria; performance is more important than absolute numbers of licensees.
Q: Was wiremix a spin-off?
A: That was an employee led purchase; managers purchased division. Inphinity was actually spun off. Shareholders are indeed getting something for the spin off; asset purchase agreement for computers from that division.
Q: What about alliances with land-based casinos?
A: We aim to become the click and mortar of the gaming industry via alliances; NA firms can’t really get involved now, so we are in discussions with a number of firms in Europe and elsewhere.
Q: What’s going on with your e-commerce initiatives?
A: New software separates e-commerce and gaming sides, so we can promote e-commerce technologies beyond the gaming industry. We are looking at strategic alliances with banking facilities, other ecom companies, debit cards, smart cards, gaming-specific credit card facilities.
Q: Could SN become a takeover candidate?
A: Not a concern currently.
Q: What is Starnet’s competitive advantage?
A: Key advantage is management and staff. Software and intellectual property; multiple platforms include JAVA, C++ and HTML, and wide range of products too. That makes us attractive to licensees and investors. We are developing as a global company; worldwide player and licensee base. We’re not tied to one market. A: No. But there is a deadline attached to certain evidence RCMP is holding; that has been extended by 9 months a couple of months ago. Also deadline attached to frozen funds.
Q: Ed Tarter: wants better customer service to retain customers with better response time and more timely issuance of checks. What is SN doing on this?
A: More resources now being dedicated; brought in a consultant to revamp internal customer service capabilities. There are infrastructure hurdles in Antigua that we are working to improve as well. We’re acquiring additional hardware and personnel too. We expect dramatic improvement by next quarter.
Q: Ed Tarter: How will licensees update their CDs to accommodate new software?
A: All licensees will be contacted in the next few weeks for logistics. New software in May: JAVA, EFF billing software. New C++ games this August.
Q: What’s the status on Liberia? Do they have infrastructure for gaming? Revenues expected? Who runs the gaming?
A: Now in DD on this; Liberia has hired NA firm to conduct DD. Consultant has visited SN Vancouver and soon to visit Antigua. We think Liberia initiative is start of a new business model in govt to govt relationship. Part of the Liberia deal will be a charity deal, and other govts have already approached us for a relationship. Too early to project revenues. Infrastructure is on track thus far in Liberia.
Q: Will there be a shareholders report before the AGM? How bout web cast?
A: Yes, to all shareholders and brokers with proxy statement within 10 days. Don’t plan webcast right now. Also, this AGM is a "compliance AGM" for 1999; agenda will be very limited to 2 issues: BOD election and approval of auditors. FY00 ending in April and we plan a 2000 AGM in September. This will be much more comprehensive and include discussion of FY01 strategic plan.

mit den zahlen bestaetigt sich meine aeusserung,die zahlen waren tatsaechlich nicht schaetzbar..
habe selbst mit einem verlust gerechnet,jedoch nicht mit so einem hohen..
wie ich auch schon bereits erwaehnte,wir erhielten eine umsatzbremse,obwohl 200% sich sehen lassen koennen..meine schaetzung war aber um die 300%..
4.6millionen sind einmalige kosten,und daher ist dies positiv,falls man gruende fuer den hohen verlust sucht..
ich muss mich nochmal wiederholen,die alte dynamik muss wieder hergestellt werden,d.h. neue lizenznehmer und kontrakte,davor muss wiederum die aufloesung der RCMP-angelegenheit stattfinden..diese sollte schnellstmoeglich geschehen,um mit dem progress vorankommen zu koennen..

Irgendwie habe ich als ehemaliger Starnetinvestor das Gefuehl, das Meiste, was hier geschrieben wird, schon mal gelesen zu haben - vor ca. einem dreiviertel Jahr ... Starnet waechst, Zahlen nicht so gut, aber beim naechsten Mal wird`s bestimmt besser, ...

Ich aergere mich zwar schon, dass ich im Dezember zu 2,50 $ (Tiefstkurs *seufz*) ausgestiegen bin, aber zumindest freue ich mich, nicht in Erwartung der RCMP-Aufloesung und der Zahlen wieder eingestiegen zu sein (kein Limit fuer Ende der RCMP-Nachforschungen? War da nicht mal was mit 6 Monaten im Umlauf, also ungefaehr jetzt???).

Trotzdem viel Glueck Euch allen, aber ich glaube nicht mehr an den Starnet-Dream, und meine anderen Aktien waren gluecklicherweise erfolgreicher.

Guten Tag,
in letzter Zeit habe ich den Eindruck, ihr wollt alle-oder viele-das Starnet in Deutschland in Vergessenheit gerät.Es wird in CC??? island-chatrooms oder sonstige den Normalmenschen schwer verständliche Ausdrücken geredet und sich bewegt.
Denkt doch auch an 58-jährige, die zwar wenig posten aber teilweise
hoch in Starnet investiert sind und im Bekanntenkreis weitere Aktionäre, mit teilweise mehreren Tausend Aktien haben. Was soll ich denen heute berichten.
Natürlich verstehe ich die heutigen Zahlen,aber eine gescheite Kommentierung wäre sehr gut.Bitte wie früher mehr im Board posten.
Vielleicht könnte Giga oder Big Dad mal kommentieren, halte sehr viel
von euren Kommentaren.
Giga auch deine anderen Aktientips, weiter trotz Asienfreund und Rukus.

Guten Tag Starnet Aktionäre,
an diesem trüben Tag. Nach einem langem Abend bzw. kurzen Nacht für mich mit 3 Stunden Schlaf, habe ich mich heute von 60% meiner Starnet Aktien getrennt. Ich möchte mich zunächste bei denen bedanken, die gestern mit mir lange im Chat waren. Ich bin weiterhin von den langfristigen Aussichten von Starnet überzeugt, halte jedoch zu dem momentanen Zeitpunkt ein Depot von fast 100% aus Starnetaktien nicht für unbedingt gerechtfertigt. Daß die einmaligen Kosten so hoch ausfallen würden, hätte ich auch nicht gedacht so wie, daß ca. 14 Lizenzen praktisch nichts verdienen bzw. noch Verluste bringen, konnte man nicht er ahnen. Positive stimmt mich, daß jetzt Starnet wohl auf dem Tiefspunkt angekommen ist, von dem man ja nur noch nach oben klettern kann. Wer den CC gehört hat bzw. die Zusammenfassung gelesen hat, erkennt, daß Starnet weiterhin auf gutem Wege ist und eine volle Pipline hat, die sich leider immer wieder verschiebt. Jedoch wer hat gesagt, daß das Geldverdienen an der Börse leicht ist ? Was die Sache von der RCMP angeht, tauchten gestern neue Vermutungen auf. ME meinte, daß die Sache mit den 6.9 Millionen wohl demnächst (waren ja nur 6 Monate) so um den 20.4. geklärt werden sein sollte. Was das Hauptvergehen (illegales Glücksspiel) angeht, können wohl noch weitere 3 Monate vergehen. Ich für meinen Teil werde Starnet weiterhin intensiv verfolgen, um bei jeder positiven PR mein %Satz in meinem Depot wieder aufzustocken.
Tja, wer hätte das gedacht, daß man Starnet nach über einem Jahr halten mit nur einem kleinem PLUS verkauft?

Ein trübseeliger buy, der nun sich nach neuen Werten umsehen muß und bei dem sich viele Träume in Luft aufgelöst haben, jedoch nur kurzfristig !

Kopf hoch, Junge. Auch ich habe 25 % meiner SNMM-Position verkauft und kam auch nur zu einem Schlafgenuß von lediglich 3,5 Stunden.
Ein paar Facts für die Nichtislander:
Wie buy schon sagte, von unseren 41 Lizenznehmern bei 14 keine Einnahmen.
4,1 Mio $ für einmalige Aufwendungen.
Umsätze um 204 % gestiegen, rechnete mit 300 min.
RCMP-Geschichte wird zur neverending Storry. Hier brauchen wir noch etwas Geduld.
Aus schwammigen Terminierungen sollte man sich als SNMM-Aktionär nicht beeindrucken lassen, da Termine eh nicht eingehalten werden.
Opagero, natürlich posten die Islanders hier genauso in der Intensität wie auf dem WO-Board. Klingt euch im Island ein, desto eine größerer Mitgliederaustausch ist dann in dem eigens seperaten Chatroom möglich.

SNMM erholt sich gerade wieder, 4 7/8$. Die Zahlen mußten ja mal so
ausfallen, bei den Aufwendungen. Ob man nun zu 5$ verkauft oder die
Aktien einfach behält ist doch egal. Sie können eigentlich nur noch
steigen. Die neuen Leute im Management müssen sich doch irgendwann
durch Leistung auch im Kurs bemerkbar machen. Die heutige Nachricht
mit dem neuen Finanzmann gibt Hoffnung.

ich habe starnet jetzt schon so lange.......schon vor dem ersten
hype und dem folgenden absturz.....teilweise hatte ich schon einen
totalverlust einkalkuliert, jetzt schlechte zahlen waren zu erwarten,
ich hoffe nur, (rmcp zeit läuft ab), das sich einiges klärt, das nächste
quartal wird auch nicht viel besser, aber danach sollte es wieder gut
aufwärts gehen.......

Wo bleibt eigentlich Gigaguru?
Um nicht mißverstanden zu werden. Ich habe eigentlich vor, meine (vielen) SNMM langfristig zu halten, aber ich vermisse etwas die Interpretationen der "Meinungsführer" hier "an Board".

Starnet fiel von 4,75 auf 4 zurück, nachdem sie eine Korrektur des Ergebnisses veröffentlicht haben.
Ist zwar nicht so wesentlich, macht sich aber bei der derzeitigen Stimmung schlecht.
