Wirklich eine würdige #1000, bei der alles passt - vom Liedtext selbst bis auch zur Aufmachung des Postings. Klasse!

Ein Thread, der schon ein Stück Sofa-Geschichte ist: Eine vierstellige Zahl von Postings, aber eben nicht aufgefüllt mit Smilie-Feuerwerken oder Trash, sondern mit wirklichen Beiträgen, hinter denen oft auch ein wenig Mühe steckt, um die Texte zu suchen und in vielen Fällen auch noch zu illustrieren. Ein Thread, in dem nicht gepöbelt wird, sondern im Gegenteil viele von uns gemerkt haben, wie gut wir miteinander "können". Auch mit der richtigen Menge an Beiträgen täglich, gerade soviel, dass man die Texte in Ruhe aufnehmen kann. Naja, und dann die ganzen Impulse, die die Beiträge liefern - lange nicht gehörtes mal wieder aufzulegen oder sich auch einmal auf etwas einzulassen, das eigentlich nicht zur eigenen Scheibenwelt gehört.

Wichtig ist hier wie so oft auch die Musik. Der beim Lesen eher traurige, defensiv erscheinende Text bekommt eine ganz andere Note durch den treibenden Beat der Band und den fordernden Gesang von Grace Slick, die den Titel auch mitkomponiert hat. Das ganze Album Surrealistic Pillow ist übrigens klasse (mit Abstand das beste, was Jefferson Airplane je gemacht haben).




Bei dem Songtitel muss ich natürlich auch an Queen denken (und damit schließe ich gleichzeitig an #990 von Missi an ). Wie so oft bei Queen mit (selbst-)parodistischen Zügen

Und noch eine letzte Variation des Titels Die Bee Gees scheinen immerhin nicht mehr nur irgendjemand zu suchen, sondern schon eine konkrete Person im Auge zu haben.
