Der " Gustloff-Börsenbrief" empfiehlt heute Union Capital und sieht bis Anfang April eine Kursverdoppelung:

Glück gehabt mehr nicht du konntest es nicht wissen und es weiss keiner wann bei IVK etwas geht.
Eines weiss ich auch...in 2-3 Jahren steht auch IVK höher,oder die gibts gar nicht mehr.

Heute zwar der Kurs mit 2,8 Cents bisher leicht
gefallen, aber die Umsätze mit über 3 Mio. Stück
nehmen stark zu.

Börse läuft noch.

Vielleicht kommt da ja in wenigen Tagen etwas.

Warum ich der Meinung bin, das Supermann recht hat.
1. Heute wurde eine sehr eindrucksvolle Bewertung in das Bord gestellt. Dem habe ich nichts hinzuzufügen.
2. Cambrian verläßt den Kanal und bricht nach oben aus.
Investika kann es nur recht sein und dieses schadet der Investika Aktie keinesfalls.
3.QTK wo Investika immerhin mit etwa 15% beteidigt ist wartet gesten mit einer nicht gerade schlecht zu bewerteten Meldung auf.
4.Es sind etwa 120000Millionen Aktien in der Kanalphase
verkauft und gekauft worden. Da ist eine ganze Menge eingsammelt worden.Da ging 1/4 des gesamten Bestandes um.
5. Das Goldprojekt ist in dem letzten Q Bericht nicht berücksichtigt worden.
6. Die Option der Aufstockung von Cambrian besteht und könnte in der nächsten Zeit ausgeführt werden.
7. Die bis jetzt veröffentlichen Bohrergebnisse sind besser als erwartet. Man geht von 1 Millionen Unzen aus.

Wenn man nun einmal 1+1 zusammenrechnet kommt man zu dem Schluß, das die Kurse von heute gedrückt sind. Es wird eingesammelt und das mit Grund. Investika wird in 2 - 3 Monaten woanders stehen.

Da sind eine ganze Reihe vom Boot gefallen und haben sich ausspühlen lassen. Verdient wird im billigen Einkauf. Wer bis jetzt durchgehalten hat, der wird bald grüne Zahlen sehen.

Der weiter schwache Dollar dürfte ebenfalls Unterstützung
für alles Goldene geben.

We wish to advise that we have commissioned a further exploration programme to be carried out on the above.

The programme, which has now commenced, will consist initially of geochemical sampling and trenching to the north ofthe previously identified and shallow drill-tested 6.5km geochemical anomaly. This will endeavour to source another 5-6km ofnew strike potential.

At the conclusion ofthe above, in March 2004, drilling will commence and will consist of 10,000m of RC and 1,200m of deep diamond holes. This drilling will focus on building a gold resource to JORC code.

Investika.
Investika ist über Australien (Sydney) auch in
grösseren Mengen zu ordern.


So jetzt kommt der Hammer. Schaut euch mal Cambrian
heute an.

Über 1,2 Millionen Stück Umsatz in London. Das

gab es noch nie bei dieser Aktie.

International Limited has disposed of 1,000,000 Ordinary Shares of 20p each in

Cambrian Mining is pleased to announce that it has converted its
US$500,000 loan note from Ivernia West Inc (" Ivernia" ). The conversion terms of
US 6.5c (Canadian 8.7cents) will result in the issue of 7,692,307 new shares to
the Company. Ivernia is currently trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange at
Canadian 25 cents.

Following the issue of the new shares, the Company holds a total of 37,939,614
shares which represents 19.29% of the issued capital of Ivernia.
Ivernia West Inc. is an international base metals mining and exploration
company, with primary interest in lead and zinc, and headquartered in Toronto,

Proposed Admission of Western Canadian Coal Corp. to AIM

Vancouver, B.C. February 24, 2004 - Western Canadian Coal Corp. (TSX-V:WTN)
(" Western" or the " Company" ) announces its intention to admit Western to the
Alternate Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange plc (" AIM" ). Williams
de Broe Plc will advise Western on the admission. The proposed admission will be

gold producer.

Western has also granted 245,000 incentive stock options at an exercise price of
$0.80 to certain officers and consultants pursuant to the Company`s stock option
plan.

portfolio of coal properties in northeast British Columbia. The Company
currently has more than 250 million tonnes of coal subject to exploration,

ich bin sehr sehr kritisch, jedoch hat mich das gesehene überzeugt!!! du hast es vorausgesagt aufgrund deiner guten kontakte und informationen.

viele, auch ich glaubten dir nicht. wir haben dich verspottet, gehänselt und sogar sperren lassen.

shares in the company raising £625,000. The new shares were allotted to Funds

Sprott`s Canada Stock Fund Favors Gold Bars, Cash: Taking Stock

March 31 (Bloomberg) -- Eric Sprott has transformed his Canadian Equity Fund, the best performer in Canada for the last five years, into what might be described as the Canadian Equity, Gold and Cash Fund.

Sprott, 59, is so bearish on the stock market that he won an exemption from an Ontario Securities Commission rule that prohibits mutual funds from holding more than 10 percent of assets in bullion.

The fund has 16 percent of its C$335 million ($256 million) of assets in gold bars, stored in bank vaults in Toronto. Another 27 percent is in cash.

Rising oil prices will crimp consumer spending and depress corporate earnings, ending a rally that`s lifted the Standard & Poor`s/TSX Composite Index by 35 percent in the past 12 months, in his view.

The fund owns shares of PetroKazakhstan Inc., an oil producer in Kazakhstan, and Thunder Energy Inc., a producer in western Canada. Sprott is opening a new fund in April that will focus on energy stocks.

``There`s going to be some carnage,`` he said. ``That`s what we`re trying to protect against.``

The Sprott Canadian Equity Fund returned 44 percent annually for the past five years on average, trouncing the 6.8 percent return for the S&P/TSX. The performance is the best among 512 Canadian funds tracked by Bloomberg.

Oil and Gas

Along with the gold and cash, the fund has 28 percent of assets in mining stocks and 20 percent in oil and gas companies, said Sprott, overseeing the equivalent of $1.12 billion as chief executive officer of Sprott Asset Management Inc. in Toronto. Stock investments in other industries account for the rest.

``In a really bad market sell-off, all stocks go down,`` he said. ``There`s less risk owning the metals than the stocks when things get bad, even though they don`t give you the same upside.``

Sprott began in the investment business 33 years ago as an analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co., and later ran his own securities firm. He was a bull until 1999, when he decided that too many new shares of companies were being sold. He started buying gold and miners of the metal.

In October, his fund became the first to win an exemption from the securities commission that allows it to hold up to 20 percent of assets in gold bullion.

$500 Gold?

Gold has surged 64 percent since February 2001. The rise will continue because there`s not enough supply from mines to meet demand from consumers such as jewelry makers, Sprott said.

The precious metal`s price may climb to $500 an ounce this year as investors realize the stock-market rally in the past year is a break from the declines of 2001 and 2002, not the start of a new bull market, Sprott said.

Also, he cited the weekly ABC News/Money magazine consumer confidence index as evidence that there may be a recession ahead. The index slid 18 points in eight weeks from Jan. 26 to March 15.

There have been two recessions in the U.S. since the poll`s inception in 1985: from July 1990 to March 1991, and from March 2001 to November 2001. The reading dropped 11 points in four weeks in 1989, and 14 points in nine weeks in 2001.

``It`s not difficult to imagine why a consumer would be upset these days,`` Sprott said. ``You don`t like what`s happening to you on the geopolitical front, and you don`t like what`s happening when you go to the gas pumps or get your gas bill. The jobless recovery is an element of it too.``

Raising Cash

Sprott decided the market`s losses may be so big that gold stocks wouldn`t be sufficiently safe. He expects declines to be sharp enough that investors will sell shares without considering the companies` earnings prospects.

``When there`s a steep decline, people tend to sell whatever they have to raise cash,`` he said.

He said he`s not sure how long or steep any slide might be. He attributes part of his success to ignoring benchmark indexes such as the S&P/TSX, the yardstick against which most Canadian stock-fund managers are judged. The only index he watches is the American Stock Exchange`s Gold Bugs Index, which tracks 15 gold- mining stocks traded in U.S. markets.

``We do a few things differently,`` he said. ``We don`t look at the (S&P/TSX) index, and we seriously overweight things that we believe in.`` Producers of raw materials, including metals, account for 17 percent of the S&P/TSX`s value. Energy shares account for 14 percent.

Hubbert`s Theory

Sprott said he`s starting the Sprott Energy Fund in part because crude-oil prices may surge another 69 percent, although he didn`t say by when. Crude for May delivery closed at $36.14 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange yesterday.

``It`s not going to surprise us to see oil at $50 or $60 a barrel,`` he said, citing a theory called Hubbert`s Peak. The theory, as interpreted by some academics, argues that world oil production will reach a zenith next year and then decline. The projection is based on research by the late M. King Hubbert, a geophysicist for Shell Oil Co. who correctly forecast in 1956 that U.S. oil production would peak in 1970.

Higher energy costs mean less money for consumers to spend and increased cost of goods for companies. Sprott forecast that the effect may crimp earnings in all sectors.

The fund`s holdings will include PetroKazakhstan and Cameco Corp., the world`s largest producer of uranium used to generate nuclear power.

Sprott stands out in the money-management industry for his willingness to make outsized bets, according to investors such as Jim Hall, who helps oversee the equivalent of $990 million for Mawer Investment Management Inc. in Calgary.

``When he sees something, he`s not afraid to ride it,`` said Hall, who knows Sprott from his days in the brokerage business. Such big bets aren`t the norm because if the investments don`t pan out, a fund can lag competitors, said Hall.

``There`s a tremendous business risk in doing that,`` he said. ``A lot of people don`t want to bear it. His clients probably understand that.``

Asia Energy PLC completes £11.2 million Financing for AIM Admission

Asia Energy PLC (AIM Code: AEN) (" Asia Energy" or " the Company" ) will begin its
first day of trading on the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market
(AIM) on 19th April 2004. The Company has successfully raised £11.2m million via
a share placing at 75p. Asia Energy will have a market capitalisation at the
Placing Price on Admission of £25.47 million. WH Ireland is acting as nominated
adviser and broker to the Company.

Cambrian Mining PLC`s (" Cambrian" ) interest is by way of a direct 42%
shareholding in Deepgreen Minerals Corporation (" Deepgreen" ) whose interest in
Asia Energy has been reduced from 55.3% to 30.9% due to the capital raising.
Deepgreen and Cambrian are currently in the process of merging.

Asia Energy is the 100% owner of the Phulbari Energy Project in northeast
Bangladesh. Since acquiring the project in 1998 from BHP Billiton, Asia Energy
has commissioned a series of independent technical studies, which confirm the
economic viability of the project. The current estimated in-situ coal resource
calculated according to the JORC Code is approximately 370 million tonnes.

Depending inter alia on the results of feasibility studies that the Directors of
Asia Energy intend the Company to conduct over the next two years, the Company
plans, in time, to establish a potential 9mt per annum open pit coal mine at
Phulbari. It is intended that the coal produced will be sold to local and export
markets but it will be used primarily for the generation of electricity through
the establishment of a power station complex with a generating capacity of up to
2,500 MW.

The development of a major coal mine and base coal power station in this mainly
agricultural country would result in immediate and ongoing social and economic
benefits to the local, regional and national economies. Bangladesh has one of
the lowest per capita energy consumptions in the world and suffers from
shortages of coal, energy and other industrial raw materials, which are critical
to its long-term economic development and growth.

The US Department of Energy estimates that only 18% of the population of an
estimated 130 million has access to electricity with wood and other bio-mass
generating over half of the country`s current energy supply. The consumption of
wood for fuel has contributed to deforestation and other environmental problems
in Bangladesh. In addition, the World Bank has estimated that Bangladesh loses
around $1 billion per year due to power outages and unreliable energy supplies.

Es wurden jetzt 534 Erdproben über 6 km Streik weiter in den Norden (Gitter) im Bereich 1 gesammelt .
Das Programm über 10.000 m RCes begann in der ersten
Aprilwoche und ist gegenwärtig im vollen Gange.
Anfangsergebnisse werden erwartet und diese sollen
innerhalb der nächsten 14 Tagen freigegeben werden.


Wenn dann noch Ergebnisse dabei sind, die wieder
über 50 g/t. liegen, dann wollen wir mal abwarten,
was passiert.

GOLD MINERALISATION NOW IDENTIFIED OVER A 12 KILOMETRE DISTANCE
AT SUBRANUM IN GHANA

Highlights of Activities during 1st Quarter 2004

Delineated broad gold haloes in areas of thick cover, discontinuous over
6km along strike from known gold mineralisation. This increases the prospective
exploration target at Subranum to over 12km.

Design of 10,000m RC program to follow-up results from RAB drilling in
Q4 2003. This RC programme is currently in progress. RC Drilling results from
Area 3 are expected over the next few weeks.

Design of a RAB drilling program to test coincident gold-in-soil and
magnetic targets beneath cover along strike from known mineralisation.

Summary - Subranum Gold Project, Ghana

During the 1st Quarter of 2004 line-cutting, mapping and soil sampling was
completed. In total 534 soil samples were collected over 6km of strike further
to the north (grid) of known gold mineralisation at Area 1.

Results from the work program, although lower tenor in comparison to the main
trend of mineralisation, delineated broad +10ppb (" parts per billion" ) gold
haloes along strike from known mineralisation. These broad low-tenor anomalies
are coincident with magnetic lows in the geophysical dataset, which are
comparable to those coincident with areas of known mineralisation along the main
trend.

Geophysical data including aeromagnetic and radiometric was also acquired during
the period and was utilised in conjunction with soil sampling, trenching and
previous RC (" Reverse Circulation" ) and RAB (" Rotary Air Blast" ) drilling data

Exploration and Development Activities - Subranum Project

Background Information

The Subranum Project is located in Ashanti Region in southern Ghana, West Africa
and straddles a major structure, the Bibiani Shear, which is intimately
associated with the significant Bibiani Gold Mine and Redback`s Chirano Project
to the along strike to the southwest. The exploration results at Subranum prior
to the most recent work undertaken by Cambrian Mining PLC, included soil
geochemistry, trenching and limited RC drilling. RC drilling returned by
previous workers included:-

6m @ 7.25g/t Au from 15m in SBRC002
4m @ 47.08g/t Au from 7m in SBRC004
including 1m at 180.50g/t Au
7m @ 1.67g/t Au from 48m in SBRC015

During the final quarter of 2003, a 275 rotary air blast (RAB) drilling program
was completed at the Subranum. This drilling was designed to confirm and add
strike extent to mineralisation previously intercepted during trenching and RC
drilling in the late 1990`s by previous workers. All holes were drilled at -60
degrees towards grid west, with hole depths generally 28-30m. Drillhole
locations are presented in Figure 1. Significant results were returned from
Areas 1 and 2, with best results intercepted at Area 3 in the southernmost
portion of the concession. Best results from the drilling program included:-

Work Completed Q1 2004

Exploration work carried out during the period included line-cutting, mapping
and soil sampling. In total 534 soil samples were collected and dispatched to
Transworld Laboratories in Tarkwa for analysis using the Aqua Regia method for
Au only (detection limit 1ppb). The program was designed to extend soil sampling
some 6km further to the north (grid) of known gold mineralisation at Area 1.
Geophysical data including aeromagnetics and radiometrics were also acquired
during the period. These data were utilised in conjunction with soil sampling,
trenching and previous RC and RAB drilling data to design a 10,000m RC Drilling
program. Due to the unavailability of drilling contractors during the period,
the RC drill program was rescheduled for Q2 2004. This program commenced on the
3rd of April and is currently in progress.

Geology and Mineralisation

The Subranum Project is located along the eastern margin of the Sefwi-Bibiani
Belt in the Ashanti Region of southwest Ghana. The Subranum concession lies
along the belt margin at the contact between Lower Birimian phyllites and
greywackes of the Kumasi Basin to the east and basic to intermediate volcanics
and volcaniclastics of the Sefwi Belt to the west. This contact is consistent
with the position of the Bibiani Shear, a major crustal structure which controls
gold mineralisation at Ainuri in Cote d`Ivoire, and Sewum-Tokosea, Chirano and
Bibiani in Ghana. The Subranum Project lies approximately 100km along strike to
the northeast from the Bibiani Mine which has combined historic production and
resources exceeding 4 million ounces of gold.

Quartz-feldspar porphyries of probable Dixcove Suite (or Belt Type) affinity,
intermittently intrude the Bibiani Shear Zone along its entire length. These
intrusives, which host mineralisation at Chirano and are closely related to
mineralisation at Bibiani, are also present along the axis of deformation at
Subranum.

Mineralisation at Subranum appears to be related to quartz veining within broad
zones of sericite-silica-carbonate alteration and associated pyrite and
arsenopyrite development, particularly within quartz-feldspar porphyry bodies.
Whilst high tenor gold values tend to coincide with zones of stronger quartz
vein development, broader zones of lower grade persist into the altered
hangingwall and footwall, even where quartz veining is absent.

Results Q1 2004

Soil sampling to the north of Area 1 encountered thick swamp and drainage areas.
In areas of cover pits we dug down to 2m depth. Results from the work program,
although lower tenor in comparison to the main trend of mineralisation,
delineated broad +10ppb gold haloes along strike from known mineralisation. The
change in regolith along the main trend to the north (grid) of Area 1 has a
direct influence on the tenor results from soil sampling. These broad low-tenor
anomalies are coincident with magnetic low in the geophysical dataset, which are
comparable to those encountered coincident with areas of known mineralisation
along the main trend. A RAB program is currently being designed to better test
the coincident magnetic and geochemical anomalies that extend over 6km of strike
to the concession boundary.

Cambrian Mining to start drilling program in Ghana

ACCRA, August 19-- Cambrian Mining Plc Tuesday said that due to the success of the current exploration programme at its Subranum property in Ghana, an 8,000 million drilling programme has been commissioned to commence in two weeks. This drill programme, comprising over 230 holes, will be completed over the next three months.

The drilling programme has been designed to thoroughly test significant gold results from soil sampling, trenching and previous RC drilling in the oxide profile to depths of 25-30 metres over a strike length of some 6kms of the now identified 7km on the main anomaly and initial drilling on the newly discovered western anomaly.

The Subranum Project is located along the eastern margin of the Sefwi-Bibiani Belt in the Ashanti region of southwest Ghana, West Africa. The Sefwi-Bibiani Belt hosts over 17 million ounces of gold resources including Newmont`s Yanfo gold project, Ashanti`s Bibiani Gold Mine and Redback Mining`s Chirano Project.

Cambrian has a direct 37.5% interest in Subranum (increasing to 45%) and management of the Subranum Project. Cambrian`s joint venture partner is Investika Ltd, an Australian listed public Company, which has committed to spending US$1 million on exploration.

Exploration to date by way of geochemical soil sampling, trenching and drilling has identified a distinct " Bibiani Shear Anomaly" totaling some 7km of potential mineralized strike extent of which portions have excellent potential for the discovery of high grade gold mineralisation. The potential for further mineralisation to the northeast is high.

Previous drilling on Subranum has already returned significant RC drilling results including:

6 million @ 7.25g/t gold from 15 million in SBRC002 4 million @ 47.08g/t gold from 7 million in SBRC004, including 1 million at 180.50g/t gold 7 million @ 1.67g/t gold from 48 million in SBRC015

A recent infill soil geochemical programme carried out some 1.5km west of the main Bibiani Shear Anomaly has identified another anomaly, which coincides with the interpreted confluence of major structures and granite-Birimian lithological contacts.

Although not well defined, a 100ppb anomalous gold halo extends over 600 million in strike and 300 million in breadth, with peaks of 829ppb gold (0.829g/t gold) and 566ppb gold (0.566g/t gold). Sampling in this area is continuing to determine the full extent of the gold mineralisation in this area.

Trenching conducted during the past quarter with significant results including 1 million at 110.44g/t Au and 1 million at 20.84g/t Au from trench SBT45. These intercepts were associated with intensely sheared strong silica-sulphide alteration.

To the south SBT041 returned positive results from a low tenor gold- in-soil anomaly with 4 million grading 1.84g/t Au, 5 million grading 3.28g/t Au including 1 million at 12.70g/t Au and 2 million at 1.81g/t Au. Significant results from SBT041 support the previously held view that gold mineralisation persisted beneath transported soil cover between the 3 main mineralised zones.

These trench results complement previous exploration along what is now a 5.2km mineralised strike with 30 million of 1.96g/t Au in Trench TR18, 28 million of 1.90g/t Au in Trench TR13, 30 million of 1.02g/t Au in Trench TR23, 8 million of 1.86g/t Au in Trench TR24, 8 million of 1.34g/t Au in Trench TR25, 4 million of 8.05g/t Au in Trench TR29, 6 million of 2.98g/t Au in trench TR 35, 10 million of 1.76g/t Au in Trench TR37 and 52 million of 0.72g/t Au in Trench TR14. - BIZ

CAMBRIAN ANNOUNCES FURTHER HIGH GRADE GOLD DRILL INTERSECTIONS IN GHANA

Cambrian Mining Plc (AIM: CBM) is pleased to announce that Reverse Circulation
(" RC" ) drilling has continued to intersect high grade gold mineralization at
depth at the Atakurom Prospect on its Subranum Gold Concession in Ghana.

Highlights:

•Drilling at Atakurom has defined a continuous gold bearing structure at
depth for a strike length of approximately 350 metres.
•The structure is still open along strike to the north, with mineralised
high-grade shoots open at depth.
•Best intercept at Atakurom to date is 10.1 g/t (0.32 ounces/tonne) of
gold over 9 metres (including 24.97 g/t gold over 3 metres) from 85 metres
depth.
•Diamond drilling and assaying to down-hole depths of 200 metres at
Atakurom is underway.
•RC drilling to the south at the Kyenkyenase Prospect has intersected
results up to 7.5 g/t (0.24 ounces/tonne) of gold over 5 metres.

Atakurom Drilling Summary

Significant RC drilling has intersected 10.01 g/t of gold over 9 metres
(including 24.97 g/t gold over 3 metres) from 85 metres hole depth; 5.88 g/t of
gold over 9 metres (including 21 g/t gold over 2 metres) from 75 metres hole
depth; 4.52 g/t of gold over 4 metres from 98 metres hole depth; 6.02 g/t of
gold over 5 metres from 80 metres hole depth. Full results of the RC drilling
programme are shown in TABLE 1. All holes were drilled at -60 degrees towards
270 degrees (grid).

Kyenkyenase Drilling Summary

The Kyenkyenase Prospect is located approximately 1 kilometre south-west of the

LONDON (AFX) - Western Canadian Coal Corp said it has begun trading on the
Alternative Investment Market following a placing and private placement of
shares worth 20 mln Canadian dollars.
The company placed 8.7 mln new shares totalling 15.3 mln cad, and held a
private placing of 2.7 mln new shares totalling 4.7 mln cad with existing
Canadian WCCC shareholders.
On admission to AIM the company said it has 52.05 mln shares in issue and a
market capitalisation of 91.1 mln cad based on the placing price.
Cambrian Mining PLC, the AIM-listed mining finance house, has subscribed for
5.71 mln new shares under the placing and holds a 47.5 pct interest.
Western Canadian Coal Corp. has been listed on the Canadian TSX Venture
Exchange (symbol " WTN" ) since April 1999.

Berong Nickel Project

At the Company’s Berong nickel laterite project in Palawan, Philippines, work is progressing on schedule to commence direct shipping saprolite ore by mid 2005 at the rate of 300,000 tonnes per year to ferro nickel smelters in Japan, pursuant to a contract entered into in August 2004. Discussions are also underway with another major Japanese company for a further 350,000 tonnes per year.



Negotiations are also well underway with a major Australian consumer for the direct shipment of 600,000 tonnes per year of high grade limonite ore > 1.8%, which will be produced as a co-product at little additional cost.



The Berong nickel laterite project has an indicated resource of 275m tonnes at 1.3% Ni and 0.074% Co containing 3.6 million tonnes of nickel, making it one of the largest deposits in the world. Discussions are underway with a number of international companies who have indicated an interest in entering into a farm-in arrangement in a major project which would involve the development of an acid leach and/or ferro nickel plant. This excludes the direct shipping operation which would be operated independently by the Company.

SUBRANUM UPDATE


Cambrian Mining Plc is pleased to announce that RC drilling has recommenced on
its Subranum Gold Concession in Ghana. The principal aim of this programme is to
drill some 7km of untested Bibiani Shear Zone. Major anomalies were identified
during a preliminary structural interpretation in early 2004 and soil-sampling
was then completed over the area. However, on this occasion, sampling failed to
penetrate thick transported cover over most of the area.

The Bibiani Shear is situated on the eastern margin of the Sefwi Belt and is
closely associated with Anglo-Ashanti`s Bibiani Gold Mine (4.5Moz) and Redback`s
Chirano Project (1.5Moz) which are along strike to the southwest. The Sefwi Belt
also hosts Newmont`s Ahafo Project (9Moz).

Wide spaced drill lines will traverse anomalies that are present in the
aeromagnetic dataset. Similar anomalies to the south have produced high-grade
results including the following:-

Cambrian Mining Plc announces that AGD Mining Limited`s (" AGD" ) (ASX: AGZ)
one-for-two rights issue to all shareholders, as announced on 11 August 2004,
has now closed. As a result of underwriting this rights issue, Cambrian
increased its holding in AGD from c.42% to 47.69%. This issue raised A$3.4
million and a further A$3.54 million could potentially be raised by March 2005
when all options attaching to the new shares mature.

Cambrian intends to exercise its options prior to this maturity and as a result
the Company will increase its holding in AGD to 56% on a fully diluted basis.

AGD is developing the Augusta gold/antimony mine at Costerfield in Victoria,
Australia. The mine is expected to start production in the third quarter of
2005.

The development of Augusta is expected to take approximately eight months and
cost A$11 million. Project optimisation studies are currently under way and
drilling of the primary deposit resumed this week.

Preliminary studies indicate that the project has the potential to pay back the
A$11 million capital cost within one year. Minable reserves at present are
sufficient for three years production, based on current reserves of 197,000
tonnes containing 15.6g/t gold and 7% antimony. The project is expected to
average production of about 29,500 ounces of gold and 3,300 tonnes of antimony
in concentrates annually. The Augusta deposit remains open along strike and at
depth as only 500 metres of the 6 km strike length has been drilled and this to
a depth of only 120 metres. As a result, there is potential to increase reserves
to five years prior to the start of mining next year.

Das Unternehmen sei mit einem Anteil von 27% größter Einzelaktionär an der interessanten Gesellschaft von Asia Energy. Zudem sei Cambrian Mining auch an anderen Rohstoffunternehmen aus den Bereichen Gold und anderen Basismetallen beteiligt. Interessant sei, dass viele Beteiligungen an der Börse bisher nicht bewertet würden und die gesamte Marktkapitalisierung von rund 100 Mio. Gold
Our acquisition of Metak Ltd, holder of the Subranum gold property in Ghana, has given us exposure to what is potentially a major gold deposit on a geological formation that is already known to host over 17 million ounces of gold. The risks associated with exploration have been minimised by a subsequent transaction with Investika to fund the first $US1 million of exploration expenditure. Early results of the current drilling campaign have been encouraging. Our other gold investment, AGD Mining, proved up additional high grade gold and antimony near surface at its Augusta gold/antimony deposit in Australia.

Metak Limited (Subranum) — Ghana, West Africa
Metak Limited is the owner of a 75 per cent interest in the licences for the Subranum project with an option to increase to 90 per cent. The Subranum Project covers 139 square kilometres and is located along the eastern region of the Sefwi-Bibiani Belt in the Ashanti region of south-west Ghana, West Africa. The Sefwi-Bibiani Belt hosts over 17 million ounces of gold resources including Newmont’s Yanfo gold project, Ashanti’s Bibiani Gold Mine and Redback Mining’s Chirano Project.

In 2002 and early 2003, anomalous gold mineralisation was outlined over a distance of 9.5 km, and was confirmed in detail over 6.5 km as two parallel anomalies. The eastern anomaly was trenched over 1.6 km exposing mineralised shear zones.

Significant trenching results included: 1m at 110.44g/t Au and 1m at 20.84g/t Au from trench SBT45. These intercepts were associated with intensely sheared strong silica-sulphide alteration. To the south SBT041 returned positive results from a low tenor gold-in-soil anomaly with 4m grading 1.84g/t Au, 5m grading 3.28g/t Au including 1m at 12.70g/t Au and 2m at 1.81g/t Au. Significant results from SBT041 support the previously held view that gold mineralisation persists beneath transported soil cover between the 3 main mineralised zones.

An infill soil geochemical programme carried out some 1.5 km west of the main Bibiani Shear Anomaly identified another anomaly, which coincides with the interpreted confluence of major structures and granite-Birimian lithological contacts. Although not well defined, a 100ppb anomalous gold halo extends over 600m in strike and 300m in breadth, with peaks of 829ppb gold (0.829g/t gold) and 566ppb gold (0.566g/t gold). Sampling in this area is continuing to determine the full extent of the gold mineralisation in this area.

In June 2003, Cambrian obtained a 100 per cent interest in Metak Limited.

Cambrian subsequently entered into an agreement with Investika Limited — an Australian listed company — whereby Investika can earn up to a 45 per cent interest in the project by funding the next US$1 million of the current exploration programme. Cambrian, therefore, now has a direct 37.5 per cent interest in Subranum (with an option to increase to 45 per cent) and management of the Subranum Project.

In the second half of 2003, and subsequent to the agreement with Investika, a full exploration and drilling programme was implemented to assess the potential of the deposit. This drill campaign consists of 8,000m drilling over 230 holes, and is scheduled to be completed by year end 2003. Initial results are due in the final quarter of 2003.

The drilling programme has been designed to thoroughly test significant gold results from soil sampling, trenching and previous RC drilling in the oxide profile to depths of 25–30 metres over a strike length of some 6 km of the now identified 7 km on the main anomaly and initial drilling on the newly discovered western anomaly.

AGD Mining Ltd, Australia (‘AGD’)
AGD is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (under the code AGZ). AGD is developing the high grade Augusta gold and antimony deposit in Costerfield, Victoria, Australia. The Augusta’s reserves and resources already total 290,000 tonnes at a diluted mining grade of 12 grams per tonne Au and 6.2 per cent antimony. The deposit exists close to surface and the ore body is currently open in all directions. In January AGD commenced an extensive drilling programme designed to extend the high grade gold/antimony mineralisation along the strike in both directions, with the view of developing a 16,500 ounce per year gold operation with 5,000 tonnes per year of antimony concentrate production.

This drill programme constituted part of the final phase of a feasibility study. It was successful in proving shallow reserves suitable for early mining operations and processing through AGD’s existing gold plant, and extended the northern limits of the deposit which so far has been drilled over a strike length of 400 m and to a depth of 120 m. The current resource is open along strike and at depth and lies within a 3 km mineralised zone. Ongoing exploration is planned to extend the existing projected mine life.

AGD has applied for the final permits necessary to establish the Augusta mine and expects to approve mine development in the first half of 2004 and to begin production in the fourth quarter of the year. An estimated A$5–6 million is required to bring Costerfield into production which includes mine development, plant upgrade and working capital. The existing Costerfield CIL Plant will be upgraded through the addition of fine grinding, gravity and concentrate circuits to produce gold bullion on site and high value antimony/gold concentrate. The financing for this planned expenditure has been partially secured by an agreement with The Swann Capital Group Ltd which has agreed to pay A$750,000 in the form of a 12 month convertible note with option to acquire 33 per cent of the project by spending the first $2.5 million of development costs.

Die Experten von " Emerging Markets Investor" halten die Aktie von Cambrian Mining (ISIN GB0031630527/ WKN 912789) weiterhin für ein spannendes Investment.

In der vergangenen Woche habe die Holdinggesellschaft ihren Jahresbericht (30.06.) vorgelegt. Bemerkenswert sei dabei die Entwicklung des Beteiligungsportfolios gewesen. Toledo Mining Steps Up The Pace In Its Philippines Nickel Business.

We last wrote about Toledo Mining in August. It’s not like us to feature a reported company just two months later as there are so many juniors clamouring for a bit of exposure to investors in Europe. Rapidly evolving events at its nickel projects in the Philippines have, however, demanded an update.

To recap, when it listed in April this year, the company was named Toledo Copper as its sole project was the Carmen copper mine near the town of Toledo on Cebu island. This is a medium-term project where the rehabilitation required to return the project to operational status has now been costed at US$ 178million. Endeavour Financial has just been appointed to plan capital provision. Toledo acquired a 40 per cent interest in what was effectively a dormant resource from Atlas Consolidated Mining Corporation, a Philippine-registered company owned by the Ramos family, which also own substantial publishing interests in the country.

This summer, the company did a second set of deals primarily with the same family, acquiring stakes in two established but non-producing nickel laterite mines located on Palawan island in the south-west Philippines, acquiring 44 per cent in Berong and 52 per cent in Celestial. These deposits are so important that on 6th October, the company changed its name to emphasise its wider-than-copper activities; its AIM epic also altered from TCU to TMC.

At Berong, mining is expected to be contracted to Australian company Leighton Contractors and the total cash cost of operations will be around US$1.30 per pound of nickel shipped. Profitability is helped by a strong nickel price and a weak Philippine peso. An FOB shipping contract has now been signed with a Japanese customer, Nippon Metals and Alloy, to supply 300,000 tonnes of dried ore pa at a nickel grade of 2.2%. At the current price of US$6 per pound, this should give total annual revenues of US$15.7 million , of which Toledo’s share will be US$6.9 million. A second agreement with Japanese buyers for a further 350,000 tonnes of ore pa is nearing signature. This would bring the total to 650,000 tonnes, generating total income of US$35.5 million and US$15.6 million respectively.

Negotiations are also proceeding with a prospective Australian customer which would take 600,000 tonnes of high grade nickel/cobalt limonite material at a grade greater than1.8% nickel equivalent. At the same nickel price, Toledo’s revenue from this additional contract should be US$5.9 million.

Total annual Toledo cash flow from Berong of US$21.5 million is therefore thought by management to be within reach. All that is needed is a road, a shipping pier and a final government mining permit to add to the regional one already obtained. Permitting and confidence is helped by the existence some 150 kms south of Berong on Palawan island of the Rio Tuba nickel mine which has been direct shipping nickel for over 25 years and has just installed and is commissioning a 10,000tonnes/year HPAL processing plant which has recently received its government environmental permit.

The Berong nickel deposit is said to be the fourth largest in the world with 275 tonnes of reserves at 1.3% nickel, ie 3.6million tonnes of contained nickel. As it has an approximately 50/50 mix of limonite and saprolite orebodies it offers options for either leaching or smelting. The company intends to commission a bankable feasibility study at a cost of some US$20 million which it could fund out of cash flow to asses the economics of developing the mine into a not less than 50,000 tonnes of nickel pa producer. Not surprisingly, there is considerable interest already from majors to farm in to its future large scale operations.

Toledo’s success is largely due to its Australian CEO Chris Kyriakou. Originally a lawyer, he was a mine developer in Australia, Canada and South Africa for 20 years. In the late 90’s he left the industry but returned with a keen interest in the Philippines where he first met Atlas in July last year. Most mining companies have to discover an economic orebody, attract capital and then develop a mine. What Kyriakou especially likes about Berong is that Toledo just has to dig ore, dry it and deliver it to a port.

The Philippines hosts some of the world’s most important mineral resources, especially of copper, nickel, cobalt and gold and silver. Yet currently mining development in the country is minimal; the effects of past typhoons, economic strife and environmental antipathy to mining have conspired to close most previously viable mines. The government is now actively courting mining companies and hopefully the Minister of Mines will be in London for a Special Philippines Mining Forum run by Minesite in February 2005.

At the moment there are less than a dozen operating miners either listed on the Philippines Stock Exchange or foreign explorers active in the country. Most of the prospects being explored or developed are previously-active mines which closed in the 90’s; Toledo’s Carmen copper mine is an instance. No wonder the Philippines Environment Secretary Michael Defensor appealed at a business leaders’ forum in Manila last week for investors to “participate in developing mineral resources”.

Toledo heard the call ahead of the crowd. So have some other shrewd investors in this rapidly-evolving story; with a purchase of 30million shares, 3.4%, AIM listed Cambrian Mining has just joined RAB Capital and Resources Investment Trust as significant holders on Toledo’s share register

GREAT PANTHER RESOURCES LIMITED (TSX-V: GPR; "the Company") is pleased to announce that it signed a Letter of Intent on December 31, 2004 to acquire up to an 80% interest in certain mineral properties located in the historic Cerro Colorado Mining District of Pima County in southern Arizona. In a strategic move, twelve individual properties held by the Burkhardt family and Carl Rice of Tucson ("the Proprietors") have been joined together by staking the ground in between to form a contiguous block comprising approximately 7,600 hectares, marking the first time that the majority of the Cerro Colorado District has been consolidated under one roof for the purpose of defining a large silver deposit with open pit potential.

The Cerro Colorado District is one of the oldest areas of mining activity in Arizona, dating back to the early 1600_s when this area was still part of Mexico. It lies within southeastern Pima County, which in turn leads the State in mineral production and, according to the Arizona Geological Survey (AGS) in 1982, contained nine of the the nation_s 25 leading copper mines. Despite being renowned for its world class porphyry copper deposits, Pima County was originally a silver mining area and many of the copper deposits contain portions enriched in silver. The Pima-Mission, Twin Buttes and Sierrita-Esperanza porphyry copper deposits lie approximately 30km from the Cerro Colorado District and much of the Cerro Colorado silver mineralization is accompanied by copper.

Within the area acquired by Great Panther there are at least 8 historic silver mines and many unnamed prospects. While having limited production, the AGS has reported (1984) average grades from these operations as ranging from 20 to 100 ounces per ton (approximately 680 to 3,400 g/t) silver with minor amounts of gold. Silver sulphides, oxides, bromides and chlorides occur within high grade fissure veins as well as in disseminations and fracture coatings in the wallrock where supergene enrichment has boosted the grades. The latter material, locally grading 10-20 ounces per ton (340-680 g/t) silver was discarded as waste by small miners seeking only the higher grade mineralization. As such, the Company believes the Cerro Colorado District contains the potential for the development of significant tonnages of this "lower" grade silver mineralization that could be amenable to open pit mining and heap leach processing.

On the initial property visit, Great Panther president, Robert Archer, P.Geo., took several grab samples of sulphide bearing vein material in order to corroborate the high grade assays reported by previous workers. Out of seven such samples taken from pits above five historic mines, one sample stands out with a spectacular assay of 17,755 g/t (518 oz/t) Ag, 1.96 g/t Au and 6.4% Cu. A sample of mineralized wallrock adjacent to this vein returned 352 g/t (10.3 oz/t) Ag and 0.73% Cu. Of the five other mineralized samples, silver assays ranged from 176 g/t (5.1 oz/t) to 1,006 g/t (29.3 oz/t) Ag and 0.08 to 1.63% Cu with an average of 410 g/t (11.9 oz/t) Ag and 0.69% Cu. A more comprehensive and representative sampling program will be undertaken on the property as part of the due diligence process within the next 90 days. All samples were assayed at ALS Chemex Labs in Vancouver.

Geological reports written in 2000 by an independent Arizona geologist, Nicholas Barr, stated that the Cerro Colorado District has the potential to host "approximately 7 to 12 million tons grading from 6 to 12 ounces per ton silver". Readers are cautioned, however, that this potential quantity is conceptual in nature and that there has not been sufficient exploration to define this estimated mineral resource, and it is uncertain if further exploration will confirm this potential mineral resource on the property. The reader is also cautioned that the historical production estimates for the Cerro Colorado Mining District do not conform to National Instrument 43-101 requirements for reporting reserves and resources. The Company is not treating these historic estimates nor the potential resources as current resources and they should not be relied upon until they have been verified by further due diligence and by the Company`s qualified person.

The Cerro Colorado Property has excellent infrastructure, being only 70 kilometres southwest of Tucson, and is accessible by Interstate 89 and a paved secondary road. Power and telephone lines run through the claim block. Exploration can effectively be conducted year round and will commence immediately upon signing of the Formal Agreement.

Terms of the agreement call for Great Panther to make 3 staged cash payments and share issuances totaling US$250,000 and 600,000 shares to the Proprietors in the first 6 months following signing of the Formal Agreement, for which the Company will receive an immediate 50% interest in the Property. An additional US$250,000 is payable along with the issuance of 500,000 shares to the Proprietors on each of the first and second anniversaries of signing the Formal Agreement should Great Panther wish to continue with the option. Upon completion of a Pre-Feasibility Study, or on the fourth anniversary of the signing of the Formal Agreement, the Company may pay US$250,000 and issue 500,000 shares to the Proprietors in order to receive an additional 10% interest in the Property. Upon completion of a Feasibility Study, the Company may pay a final US$250,000 and issue 500,000 shares to the Proprietors in order to receive an additional 10% interest in the Property. Upon arranging production financing and achieving production, the Company will obtain an additional 10% interest for a total undivided interest of 80%.

A significant aspect of the Agreement is that Great Panther may obtain an option to lease and/or purchase the fully permitted leach pad currently held by the Proprietors, the only one of its kind in southern Arizona. Furthermore, the Company has obtained a Right of First Refusal on certain other properties owned by the Proprietors and/or to enter into a business relationship with them for the further development of these properties. The Proprietors have been active in the mining industry in Arizona for several decades and play a leading role in the Small Miners Association of Arizona. The transaction is subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.

ASIA Energy has expanded its coal handling and process plant design for its Phulbari Coal Project in north-west Bangladesh following coal tests confirming export quality coal.

Tests showed a deposit of bituminous coal with high volatiles, low ash, and good calorific value suitable for export. However, Asia Energy will need to install a state-of-the-art coal processing plant, utilising proven dense medium separation technology, to extract economic quantities of semi-soft coking coal and PCI grade coal, as well as export quality thermal coal.

"The engineering studies of run-of-mine coal handling, process plant requirements, and product handling at the project`s planned mine and port are being expanded accordingly," Asia Energy said.

"Similarly, changes are required to the definitive feasibility marketing study to take account of the potential to mine these higher value products."

Sydney-based AME Mineral Economics will provide an analysis of existing and future markets for coal products from the project.

Asia Energy will now conduct additional core sampling of larger diameter drill holes to determine the process equipment requirements, potential product mix and comprehensive coal quality specifications for the planned coal production.

Mine production is scheduled for 2007 with projected annual output of 15 million tonnes

GREAT PANTHER TO ACQUIRE OPTION ON
GOLD PROSPECT NEAR TOPIA MINE
GREAT PANTHER RESOURCES LIMITED (TSX-V: GPR; "the Company") is pleased to announce that, on January 19, 2005, it signed a Letter of Intent for an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Virimoa Gold Property located in the Topia Mining District of Durango, Mexico. The project consists of two concessions comprising 148 hectares and hosts a zone of intense alteration, exposed for more than 350 metres. Continuous surface chip sampling over 250 metres of this zone returned 1.08 g/t gold, 20.5 g/t silver and 1.66% zinc, including a higher grade section of 3.38 g/t Au, 26.2 g/t Ag and 4.93% Zn over 16m. With this size and grade as a starting point and no previous drilling, the Company considers the property to have excellent potential to host a large bulk tonnage gold deposit.

The Virimoa Property is situated in the heart of the Sierra Madre Mineral Belt and is centrally located between several significant deposits. It lies approximately 17 kilometres southwest of Great Panther_s Topia Silver-Lead-Zinc Mine, which can be used for logistical support, and was evaluated as part of the Company_s ongoing regional evaluation around the mine. In addition, Virimoa is approximately 30 kilometres west of La Ciénega, currently in production and owned by Compañía Minera Peñoles, and which reported historical resources in 1997 of 5.2 million tonnes grading 6.0 g/t gold, 170 g/t silver, 1.0% lead and 1.3% zinc (this estimate does not follow the required disclosure for reserves and resources outlined in NI 43-101 and is not necessarily indicative of the mineralization on the Virimoa Property).

Terms of the agreement call for Great Panther to make 4 staged cash payments and share issuances totaling US$300,000 and 300,000 shares, over a period of 3 years, to the property owner, Minera Acero del Fuego, S.A. de C.V., a private Mexican company. If the option is exercised, Acero del Fuego will retain a 2% NSR, half of which can be purchased for US$1,000,000. Acero del Fuego acquired the Virimoa concessions in 2000 and conducted the only known exploration on the property, including the aforementioned chip sampling. The transaction is subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.

TMC acquires additional project and increases nickel reserves in the Philippines by 12%



Toledo Mining Corporation plc (AIM:TMC) has completed negotiations to increase its economic interest in the Berong nickel laterite deposit from 44% to 56.1%. It has also acquired a 58% economic interest in the Ulugan nickel laterite project. Both deposits are located on the island of Palawan in the Republic of the Philippines and the Ulugan property consists of two Exploration Permit Applications covering more than 16,000 hectares surrounding part of the Berong project area.



The acquisition costs of this significant expansion of the Company’s nickel interests will be funded by exchanging the Company’s existing investment in the Carmen copper project with Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corporation and committing to exploration expenditure of US$1 million on the Ulugan project over three years.



The Berong project is being developed, at a low cost, as a direct shipping operation which will generate a significant cash flow. The project is jointly owned by Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corporation (25.2%) and Investika Limited (18.7%) , an Australian listed public company of which Chris Kyriakou, Executive Chairman of Toledo, is a non-Executive Director. In addition, interest has been expressed by several ‘majors’ in the joint development of a large scale project exploiting the Berong world class resource of 275 Mt @ 1.3% Ni independently of the direct shipping operation.



The permitting of the direct shipping operation is progressing, and access to the proposed mining area and available sites for project facilities have now been identified. As previously announced, a contract for the supply of 300,000 tonnes per annum has been entered into with Nippon Metals & Alloy Co. In addition, discussions with another major Japanese customer for the supply of additional ore are well advanced and are expected to be concluded following the completion of the initial mining plan. The recently completed Berong ore reserve estimate, carried out by V. Austria in 1995 and recently verified by an independent consultant of Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corporation. This confirmed the ability to supply specification material, and highlighted areas of potential which require additional exploration work to plan the expanded operation.



TMC will be appointing an international contractor to carry out the mining operations, as this will ensure capital cost are kept low and expedite production start-up.



The Philippine Government’s announced policy to revitalise the minerals industry, coupled with the recent decision of the Supreme Court ruling that the Philippine Mining Act is fully constitutional, is expected to result in expedited processing of all necessary permits and approvals.



A feasibility study and independent review has been completed on the Carmen copper project indicating that the Carmen underground mine can be rehabilitated. However, with shareholder interests in mind, the directors propose to focus financial resources on the development of the Berong







project, which is expected to produce cash flow within 12 months and has the potential of substantial upside from exploitation of the larger resource. At this time development of the Palawan nickel projects and the Carmen copper project will be reviewed.

TMC increases nickel reserves in the Philippines

Further to Toledo Mining Corporation plc’s (AIM:TMC) announcement yesterday, this is to clarify that the completed negotiations to increase its economic interest from 44% to 56.1% in the Berong nickel laterite deposit is in exchange for its Carmen copper project and that the Company will not be reviewing any further developments at the Carmen copper project as this is now owned by Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corporation.

The Berong project is being developed as a low cost direct shipping operation and will generate a significant cash flow within twelve months for TMC. It is one of the world’s largest nickel deposits with a resource of 275 million tonnes of 1.3% nickel.

Jan. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Atlas Consolidated Mining and
Development Corp., an unprofitable Philippine miner, said it`s in
talks with Chinese investors to resume operations at a copper
mine closed in 1994. The stock rose.
The talks include the purchase of copper concentrates from
the Toledo mine in the central Philippine island of Cebu, Atlas
Treasurer Noel Del Castillo said today, without identifying the
investors. Atlas shares rose 7.3 percent to close at 7.40 pesos
in Manila, where the stock is up 92 percent this year, compared
with a 9.2 percent gain in the main index.
``We have been receiving a lot of calls from Chinese
investors for our copper mine, which can resume operations at
short notice,`` Del Castillo said. ``China doesn’t seem to have
enough supply to meet the demand in its own market.``
Atlas needs $170 million to reopen the Toledo mine,
including building a 50-megawatt power plant, Del Castillo said.
The mine, which produced 667 metric tons of ore in its 39 years
of operations, can generate more than in $150 million in annual
sales, he said. The mine was shut because of flooding and labor
unrest, exacerbating the troubled finances of Atlas, which hasn`t
made money in the past 13 years.
London-based Toledo Copper Corp. agreed June 16 to provide
as much as $28 million to reopen the mine and may take a 40
percent stake, Atlas said at the time.

Making Room

Del Castillo said today that the board of Atlas approved an
agreement with London-based Toledo Mining Corp., which gave up
its right to earn an interest in the copper mine and to be
refunded for money extended to the mine. Toledo Mining and Toledo
Copper share the same owners, Del Castillo said.
``This makes room for other substantial groups to
participate in the mine`s development,`` he said. ``Toledo Mining
has decided to focus on nickel, which is very OK with us.``
Toledo Mining will focus on the Berong and Ulugan nickel
projects in the Philippine island of Palawan, where it will
invest $3 million for the development of the two mines, Del
Castillo said. Atlas has holdings in both projects.
The Berong nickel project has about 275 million tons of
nickel laterite, Atlas said.

Tuesday said negotiations were ongoing with Chinese mining and metal groups
which have expressed a strong interest to participate in the resumption of the
company`s Toledo copper mine in Cebu. Talks also include the provision of
finance and the purchase of copper concentrate production. In the meanwhile,
the board of Atlas has approved an agreement with Toledo Mining Corp whereby
TMC has relinquished its right to earn an interest in the Toledo copper mine
and to be refunded for advances made. "This makes room for other substantial
groups to participate in the mine`s development," Atlas said. The recently
completed feasibility study indicated the capital cost of reopening the mine
at an estimated $170-mil, inclusive of a 50MW power plant and, at present
metal prices, the mine will generate some $150-mil/year of foreign exchange.

Toledo Mining Corp will focus on the development of the company`s Berong and
Ulugan nickel projects on the island of Palawan. Under the agreement, Atlas
retains a substantial interest in future nickel operations by only diluting
its current 46% in the Berong nickel project to a 35.2% interest and retaining
42% of the Ulugan project. In part consideration, TMC will invest $3-mil
towards the development of the combined nickel projects. This complements the
$1-mil financing previously announced and to be provided by Australia-listed
Investika Ltd, which has a right to acquire a further 10% of Atlas` interest
in the Berong project. As further consideration, TMC acquires 40% of TMM
Management Inc which will manage the nickel projects, leaving Atlas with a 60%
holding. The Berong project contains an estimated resource of 275-mil mt of
nickel laterite at a grade of 1.30% nickel, 0.074% cobalt, including direct
shipping grade ore of 2.3% nickel.

Discussions are underway with Japanese ferronickel smelters to develop the
first stage of the project as a low cost direct shipping operation to Japan,
estimated to commence in late-2005," Atlas said. Meantime, the initial mining
plan is near completion following an ore reserve estimate which confirms the
ability of the project to supply specification material to end-users. The
project has been enhanced further by the assessment of the original titles,
including a 4% royalty to Berong Nickel Corp and by incorporating the 16,000
hectare Ulugan exploration permits and applications which effectively doubles
the project area. Work on the necessary permits and approvals is ongoing,
Atlas added.
