Blackberry zahlt wechselwilligen iPhone-Nutzern bis zu 550 US-Dollar

Der einst mächtige Mobilfunkanbieter hat in den USA und Kanada eine "Tradeup"-Kampagne gestartet. Wer sein Apple-Handy abgibt und zum Passport wechselt, erhält einen dreistelligen Betrag.

Blackberry hat eine neue Kundenkampagne gestartet: Im Rahmen einer "Tradeup"-Aktion erhalten Neuerwerber eines Smartphones vom Modell Passport, die ihr iPhone gleichzeitig abgeben, bis zu 550 US-Dollar.

Um das Angebot beanspruchen zu können, muss der Passport ab dem 1. Dezember bei einem von mehreren Online-Händlern erworben werden – Amazon ist darunter. Für ein iPhone 4s erhält der Kunde bis zu 90 Dollar, für das iPhone 5 bis zu 150 Dollar und für das iPhone 5c bis zu 130 Dollar.

Das letztjährige Apple-Top-Smartphone iPhone 5s ist Blackberry noch bis zu 235 Dollar wert. Ein iPhone 6 bringt wiederum einen Preis von bis zu 400 Dollar – das iPhone 6 Plus führt der Hersteller in der Liste dagegen nicht auf. Zum Vergleich: In den USA zahlt man für ein neues iPhone 6 mit Mobilfunkvertrag mindestens 200 Dollar, als freigeschaltetes Gerät 649 Dollar. Ein Verkauf bei eBay könnte bei gut gepflegten Handys mehr einbringen als 400 Dollar.

Neben dem Trade-in-Wert, der vom Partner Clover geschätzt wird, bezahlt Blackberry selbst einen Betrag von 150 Dollar. Sitzt der Käufer in Kanada, sollen es 200 kanadische Dollar sein. Ein Trade-in-Angebot betreibt Blackberry auch in Deutschland. Dort gibt's den Extrabonus allerdings noch nicht. (bsc)
