Ashburton Minerals Ltd, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Trans Pacific Gold Pty Ltd and its Brazilian registered company Trans Pacific Gold Mineraçao Ltda (TPGM) has acquired the historic Mina Inglesa gold mine in the state of Goias in Brazil.

Mina Inglesa is located approximately 5 km NW of the town of Crixas in the Archaean Crixas Greenstone Belt. The tenement is approximately 330 ha (3.3 sqkm) in size and encompasses an open pit mine, sited over the old Mina Inglesa workings, and an estimated 2 Mt of gold tailings sands.

This acquisition increases Ashburton’s presence in the Crixas area where an option over the Meia Pataca gold mine was secured in September 2004. The Mina Inglesa tenement is surrounded by tenements held by Mineraçao Serra Grande SA Ltda, a 50:50 venture between AngloGold and Kinross, who owns the Serra Grande operation which produces some 200,000 oz per annum from the Mina Treis and Mina Nova gold mines located some 5 km south of Crixas.

The tenement itself was held by Serra Grande until recently when it was pegged by a private Brazilian concern, who were granted title in March 2005.

TPGM has signed an agreement with the private owners to acquire a 100% interest in the Mina Inglesa tenement for a cash payment of R$290,000 (290,000 Brazilian reais), being about A$150,000. The vendor will retain a 5% royalty on gold produced from reprocessing of tailings, and a 3% royalty on gold produced from primary sources.

Mina Inglesa is one of the oldest gold mines in the Crixas greenstone belt. It was discovered in the 1730s by Portuguese pioneers, or bandeirantes, and has been continuously worked to the present day, mainly by private artisinal miners, or garimpeiros.

Ashburton have said that they see the acquisition of Mina Inglesa as a significant step forward in its attempts to establish an operational presence in Brazil in the near term.

müsste auch dem Dümmsten klar sein, das hier wiedermal eine Gurkenaktie von den Scharlatanen Frick, AKTIONÄR-Förtsch & Co empfohlen wurde.

Um so unglaublicher ist es jedoch, das es immer noch Leute hier gibt die sich auf den AKTIONÄR oder den Frick beziehen
