PORT MOODY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 9, 2006) - Newmac Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NER - News; FWB:N3M) is pleased to report results for the first 9 holes on the Crazy Fox Molybdenum project, located 20 kilometers north-northwest of the village of Little Fort, B.C.
The highlight of these nine holes being reported is a 3 m section intersected in hole 06-9 (6924E, 8689N) that consisted of distinctive, well mineralized, convoluted comb quartz structure grading 0.35 % Mo (0.58 % MoS2). Additional assays from this hole are still pending.

Highly anomalous values of rubidium (Rb) have been encountered over large widths in all of these drill holes. Rubidium is commonly found in climax type Molybdenum deposits around the world. Holes 06-3 and 06-4 were both drilled as geological holes to test the volcanic contact with the intrusive granite.
Comb Quartz, which has been encountered in several of the diamond drill holes at the Crazy Fox property, is regarded as an important structural feature in "Climax Mo-W" Type deposits. It is arguably diagnostic of "Climax Mo-W" type deposits. Comb quartz texture and structure has been recovered in variable amounts and degrees from 15 drill holes to date.
"I am delighted with the results received, and even more importantly of the discovery of Comb Quartz. Comb Quartz is the one of the most important textural features in Climax type deposits. Drill holes now show molybdenum and tungsten over a diameter of over 1,000 m," said David Hjerpe, President
Molybdenum is widespread on the property and its grade is controlled to a large extent by the degree of fracturing present. Exploration to date has focused in locating those zones, which are likely to produce optimum mineralization with optimum fracturing. The project continues to encounter widespread and variable mineralization in both molybdenum and tungsten. Results will be published as they are received.

Newmac Resources Inc. (TSX-V: NER, Frankfurt: N3M; WKN: A0HFWM) freut sich, die Ergebnisse der ersten 9 Bohrungen im Crazy Fox Molybdän-Projekt bekannt geben zu können. Das Projekt liegt 20 km nordnordwestlich des Dorfes Little Fort, B.C.
Das Glanzlicht dieser neun Bohrlöcher bildet ein in Bohrloch 06-9 (6924E, 8689N) angetroffener 3 m breiter Abschnitt, der aus ausgeprägten, gut mineralisierten, verfältelten Kammquarz-Strukturen mit einer Wertigkeit von 0,35 % Mo (0,58 % MoS2) besteht. Weitere Probenergebnisse aus diesem Bohrloch stehen noch aus.

In allen erwähnten Bohrlöchern wurden über breite Abschnitte hinweg hochgradig anomale Rubidiumwerte (RB) festgestellt. Rubidium findet man üblicherweise in Molybdänlagerstätten des Climax-Typs in aller Welt. Die Bohrlöcher 06-3 und 06-4 wurden beide zum Zwecke geologischer Untersuchungen angelegt, um die Kontaktschichten von vulkanischem und intrusivem Granitgestein zu überprüfen.
Kammquarz, auf das man in mehreren Diamantbohrlöchern der Crazy Fox-Liegenschaft gestoßen ist, gilt als wichtiges Strukturmerkmal in Lagerstätten des Typs "Climax Mo-W". Es wird zuweilen behauptet, dass Kammquarz Lagerstätten des Typs "Climax Mo-W" signalisiert. Bis jetzt hat man in 15 Bohrlöchern Kammquarzgefüge und -strukturen unterschiedlicher Menge und Wertigkeit festgestellt.
"Ich freue mich außerordentlich über die bisherigen Bohrergebnisse und ganz besonders über die Entdeckung des Kammquarzes. Kammquarz ist eines der wichtigsten Gefügemerkmale in Lagerstätten des Climax-Typs. Unsere Bohrlöcher haben Molybdän- und Wolframvorkommen über ein Gebiet von 1000 m im Durchmesser gezeigt", erläuterte David Hjerpe, der Präsident des Unternehmens.
Molybdän ist auf dieser Liegenschaft weitläufig verbreitet, wobei dessen Konzentration zu einem großen Teil von der jeweiligen Bruchbildung abhängig ist. Bei den bisherigen Explorationsarbeiten hat man sich auf die Lokalisierung von Zonen konzentriert, in denen man die intensivste Vererzung bei optimaler Bruchbildung erwarten kann. Innerhalb des Projektgebiets stößt man weiterhin auf weit verbreitete Molybdän- und Wolframvorkommen. Neue Ergebnisse werden veröffentlicht, sobald sie bekannt werden.
