Heute gabs News, welche ordentlich Umsatz in den Titel brachten. Aktuell über 6,3 Mio. Umsatz.

IBI Corp.: IBI outlines previous background work on uranium properties
      1/9/2007
Toronto, Ontario CANADA, Jan 09, 2007 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

IBI Corp. (IBI - TSX Venture), a junior international mining and investment company, reports it has done further study of previous data emanating from an earlier aerial survey of IBI's Uganda uranium lands.

IBI, as part of its emerging mission to perform a leading role in the exploration and commercialization of Uganda's largely undeveloped but massive mineral resources, recently initiated a uranium exploration program. IBI is also concurrently reactivating its gold exploration strategy.

The previous Uganda government aerial survey of southeast Uganda was commissioned by the Uganda Geological Survey and was completed in 1980 by Geosurvey International GmbH of West Germany. The Geological Survey of Uganda recently provided IBI with a copy of its comprehensive report on these surveys.

A map of the area surveyed indicates four uranium-related anomalies, with two of these being on lands that the Company has already secured. The anomalies noted are defined by radiometric readings of more than 3250 cps (counts per second).

The one large anomaly, near the town of Lunyo in southeast Uganda just north of Lake Victoria, appears to be about 15x15 kilometres and consists of two segments, lying within Block 1 of approximately 600 square km controlled by the Company.

In the western segment within that anomalous section, on a contour map of 3x3 miles, some 32 Geiger readings were as high as 30x background for the area, and ranged between 5x and 30x. Background radiation varies from area to area, so the multiple is an important indicator. It is generally considered that if an area consistently gives readings of several times background, it should be prospected in detail, including sampling. Background radiation for any given area is described as "The naturally occurring ionizing radiation, which every person is exposed to, arising from the earth's crust (including radon) and from cosmic radiation". [World Nuclear Association].

In addition, hearsay in the area is that many new water wells drilled are abandoned as they are contaminated with uranium. The Company is attempting to validate this information with water quality reports filed in the appropriate government offices.

The 1980 report states, "Three first-class anomalies have been selected over granitic intrusions. Two occur over the Lunyo-Lumino granitic rocks (73/1 and 73/3).... The easterly uranium (Bi 214) anomaly 73/3 requires ground follow-up to outline the source of the radiation and to check its uranium content. The western anomaly (73/1) has already been investigated by the German Geological Mission in 1975."

The other anomaly indicated from the aerial survey is in the district of Mbale, and the Block 2, which includes this anomaly, consists of 46 square km, and was secured in December 2006. Other than the aerial survey, no additional information is available on this anomaly.

Readers are cautioned that this data is not yet 43-101 compliant.

The 2007 aerial survey is now in progress and is using considerably advanced contemporary technology and high-level specifications, previously indicated as 200 m. spacing and 60 m. clearance. This survey began in late December, and is commissioned with three aircraft. The flights in the area of the Company's lands were delayed last week pending approval from Kenya for use of its air space. These flights have now resumed, and have started just to the north of the town of Busia, and along the Kenya border.

Block 3, which the Company is in the process of securing, was announced in December as an estimated 800 square km. Based on further mapping and investigations of radiometric readings available to IBI, it appears that the area will be approximately 1,000 square km. The Company expects to have this block finalized within 30 days.

Brian W. Hester, P.Eng., BSc., MA Sc., adviser to the IBI Board of Directors, noted, "Uganda has extensive indications of uranium, and the south-east block was selected to start the current aerial survey because of the strong showings and apparent anomalies from the 1980 survey work. We look forward to the current aerial program to help pinpoint targets for further exploration on the ground."

The Company has 280,954,350 shares issued and outstanding. The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 26.794.588 von SharpRatio am 09.01.07 16:23:23IBI AND RIO TINTO ENTER SALE AND ROYALTY AGREEMENT

Toronto, Ontario CANADA, December 18, 2006 /FSC/ - IBI Corp. (TSX - VX: IBI), ("IBI" or the "Company"), a junior international mining and investment company, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Rio Tinto plc's subsidiary, Rio Tinto Uganda Limited, for the conditional sale of IBI's Ugandan vermiculite mine. The proposed sale, which has been approved enthusiastically by the IBI Board of Directors and will be presented to the shareholders at a special meeting within the coming weeks, provides for significant potential royalty revenues to IBI.

"The deal is very significant for our Company and its shareholders", said IBI Chairman and CEO Gary A. Fitchett. "It is the next logical step forward in our stated goal of playing a principal role with respect to Uganda's expanding commitment to the development of its natural resources."

The sale agreement contemplates full development by Rio Tinto of the production and distribution of vermiculite from the Namekara Mine in Uganda.

The long-term royalty stream would provide significant benefits to IBI shareholders by generating on-going capital and cash flow for other IBI initiatives, which now include gold and uranium among others, each of which is progressing with the full and total cooperation and support of the Ugandan government.

IBI expects that Rio Tinto's existing expertise in international vermiculite markets, coupled with the size and quality of the Namekara resource, will enable Rio Tinto to develop substantial and sustainable global sales and distribution for Namekara vermiculite, particularly for the mine's abundant large-size grades, which are in short supply in world markets.

Subject to the satisfaction of specified conditions precedent and completion of an order of magnitude study, Rio Tinto will pay IBI US$5.0 million cash (approximately Cdn$5.75 million, at today's exchange rates) and a royalty for each tonne of material harvested as outlined below.

The initial closing is expected to take place approximately March 1, 2007, following the satisfaction of the conditions precedent. These conditions include approval of the TSX Venture Exchange and of IBI shareholders at a meeting called for that purpose, the consent of the Ugandan Government and Rio Tinto confirmation at its discretion that it intends to proceed with the acquisition based on technical and commercial parameters. Rio Tinto will then take title to the assets and will take over the operation of the mine. On initial closing Rio Tinto will pay the first US$1.5 million of the US$5.0 million purchase price. IBI has already received US$100,000 on signing.

Following initial closing, Rio Tinto will conduct an order of magnitude study ('Study") over the ensuing 12 months to validate a minimum reserve of 6 million tonnes of recoverable vermiculite, a defined quality of material, and the prospective financial viability of future operations at the scale contemplated. In the opinion of IBI, there should be no difficulty in meeting these minimum standards.

On satisfactory conclusion of the Study, or should Rio Tinto otherwise elect to proceed, payment will be made of a further US$3.4 million.

In addition, Rio Tinto will pay a royalty per tonne of vermiculite sold at the following rates:

US$5 for the first 3 million tonnes (estimated for a period of 15 ?
      25 years)

US$3 for the next 2 million tonnes (estimated for an additional
      period of 10 years)

      US$2 thereafter (the "Royalty")

The Royalty will be paid quarterly, commencing after the initial closing, and the rates will be subject to annual escalation based on a consumer price index ("CPI"). Furthermore, in years four through fifteen after the initial closing, there will be a minimum royalty of US$150,000 per annum (subject to CPI escalation), if the earned royalties do not exceed that amount.

Should the Study not provide satisfactory conclusions based on the defined conditions, or Rio Tinto otherwise not elect to proceed, IBI will have the option to reacquire the assets and business for US$500,000. The election to re-acquire must be made within three months, with payment within a further six months.

Additionally, based on IBI's review of historical documents of geological work on the site, its review of the base geology, and the measurement of copper in the vermiculite pit and drilling cores, there is a prospective indication of the potential for copper on the site. Accordingly, if Rio Tinto should ever discover and produce copper from the property, they will pay a quarterly royalty of 1 1/2% of the net smelter revenue with a cap of payments of US$10 million (subject to CPI escalation).

The funds payable at the initial closing will be used to pay certain debts of the Company, restore working capital for the ensuing year, and will provide an initial exploration budget for the Company's gold, uranium, and other mining diversification projects. The funds from the second closing will be allocated for further development of the Company's projects in Uganda and settlement of certain other debts.

Subject to further finalization of terms, the Company's president has agreed to take repayment of the amounts owing to him for management fees and loans over a period of not less than five years, following the second payment.

"This transaction has proven ideal for us", Fitchett stated. "With it, we have established a new equity foundation for our other priority operations and initiatives, and we've achieved an on-going cash flow. Moreover, because this mine is likely one of the largest deposit of vermiculite in the world, the benefits to the shareholders will be significant while enhancing the prospects of meeting all of the company's forward strategic objectives.

Under the terms of the Agreement, this News Release has been approved by Rio Tinto. More information on Rio Tinto can be found at their website, www.RioTinto.com.

The Company has 280,954,350 shares issued and outstanding. The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.

Welches Interesse hat die Weltbank an Goldexploration im IBI GEbiet in Uganda? Warum zahlt die Weltbank hierfür? So eine Art Aufbauhilfe?

      12/20/2006
      Toronto, ON December 20, 2006

      FSC / Press Release

WORLD BANK FUNDED AERIAL SURVEY OF UGANDA TO HELP IBI PINPOINT GOLD TARGETS

Toronto, Ontario CANADA, December 20, 2006 /FSC/ - IBI Corp. (TSX - VX: IBI), ("IBI"), a junior international mining and investment company reports that it has begun the resumption of its gold exploration program which we will aided by a 10.3-million dollar aerial mineral survey of Uganda - paid for by the World Bank and other international organizations - and intended to locate major high-value ore deposits within the country.

IBI-held lands will be among the first to be flown in the survey, which begins next week. Survey data on the IBI controlled lands should be available to the company within the first quarter of 2007.

The Company had previously begun a more limited program in 2004 to identify specific areas for initial gold exploration within IBI's 620 square kilometre gold-prospective concession in Busia, but had put the project on hold and opted instead to focus on its vermiculite holdings until the Ugandan government was ready to undertake the survey.

"We knew the current survey would aid in the company's efforts by precisely identifying high probability targets. This helps mitigate our risk, and will shorten the turnaround time", said IBI president and CEO Gary A. Fitchett. "With these two factors, we believe we will be able to pass through more money to the bottom line."

These earlier investigations and findings provide a solid foundation and base of data going forward, and included magnetic surveys, trenching, and laboratory analysis of surface soil and trenching soil samples, all with positive results. As well, a technical report under NI 43-101 was prepared by the Company's Qualified Person, Ulrich Kretschmar, Ph.D, of Exploration Geoscience Associates Inc., Orillia Ontario. This report is available on SEDAR and on the Company's website.

Leading the IBI team will be Hans Hansen, IBI managing director in Uganda, and Nathan Walukawu, B.Sc., our resident geologist in Uganda. Mr. Walukawu has experience with other gold projects throughout Africa. They will be supported by Brian W. Hester, P.Eng, BSc, MA Sc, a distinguished internationally experienced mining geologist who recently joined the Company as an adviser to the Board of Directors. The team and its work will be funded by the company's sale of its vermiculite holdings to London based minerals giant, Rio Tinto.

The targeted Busia lands are part of the noteworthy regional Greenstone Belt, extending from Tanzania to Kenya and Uganda. This Belt has a number of developing gold strikes and producing gold mines, including operations by many well-known senior international producers.

The reactivation of the Company's gold and uranium programs are cornerstones of IBI's stated mission to be the leading exploration and mining group in the uncovering and commercialization of Uganda's vast and largely untapped high-value mineral assets.

      1/30/2007
Toronto, Ontario CANADA, Jan 30, 2007 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

IBI Corp. (IBI - TSX Venture), IBI Corporation, ["IBI" - TSX Venture], a junior international mining and investment company, reports it has secured a further 960 square kilometre block of uranium prospective lands as part of the Company's mission to execute the lead role in high value minerals exploration and development, including uranium and gold, in Uganda.

This new acquisition is west of the capital city of Kampala, near the town of Mubende, and consists of two separate contiguous sections. The initial announcement of this property in December 2006 contemplated a total area of 800 sq. km., but with final surveying and investigation it was expanded to approximately 960 sq. km. The new area brings IBI's portfolio of uranium exclusive prospecting licenses (EPLs) in Uganda to a total in excess of 1,600 sq. km.

Radioactivity on the Mubende properties is demonstrated on a radiometric map generated from earlier aerial surveys by the government, which is available on the Company's website at www.IBInvest.com, together with other maps of the Company's uranium-prospective lands as well as IBI reports on the uranium industry, under the tab Uranium.

The Company's uranium prospective lands, each of which shows indications of uranium in previous surveys and studies, now consist of the following:

      Block Location Geology Sq Km Acres 1 Busia/Lunyo Granite 622 153,699 2 South Mbale Sandstone 46 11,362 3 Mubende Granite ridges 960 237,221 Total Approx. 1,628 402,282

IBI's first two blocks of uranium prospective lands are within the first area being flown in a current Uganda government state-of-the-art radiometric aerial survey of key areas of mineralization in Uganda. Survey officials have this week indicated that the flyovers of the first area should be completed about mid-March. Sponsored by the World Bank, and affiliated international agencies, the Uganda aerial minerals survey is expected to help pinpoint key areas, such as uranium and gold anomalies, for further, more intensive ground exploration procedures by the Company.

IBI will have access to the preliminary data from flown areas of the Company's lands and has arranged for interpretation of this information. A timetable regarding the analysis of this initial data will be announced as soon as it is available. Internationally known Geologist Brian W. Hester, P.Eng, BSc., MSc., who was recently appointed as advisor to the board of directors of IBI, will be assisting the Company in evaluating data from the aerial surveys and in planning IBI's further exploration program.

As summarized in a News Release of January 9, 2007, a radiometric aerial survey in 1980, which covered the areas of Blocks 1 and 2 indicated anomalies thereon exhibiting readings in excess of 3250 cps. Also, Geiger readings in an area of Block 1 were reported in a range of 5x to 30x background

In making the announcement, Hans Hansen, managing director of operations in Uganda, commented, "This new acquisition, together with IBI's other two blocks of uranium-prospective lands, brings our total position so far to a significant magnitude. As a first step in starting exploration activities on the new block, IBI's geological staff in Uganda are currently conducting initial reconnaissance."

Note: Readers are cautioned that mineralization information referred to in this news release is not yet 43-101 compliant.

The Company has 280,954,350 shares issued and outstanding. The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
