      Hallo zusammen,

      - US-Unternehmen, Börsenwert 600 Mio US$

Sonst vielleicht Clipper? Aber die sind schon grösser, meine ich?

Americas Wind Energy Corporation ("AWEC" or the "Company") (OTCBB:AWNE) is pleased to announce the receipt of several new orders for windturbines.

Americas Wind Energy Inc., the Company's Canadian subsidiary, has recently sold its shares in Emergya Wind Technologies B.V., the proceeds of which were used by the Company to completely retire its loan from Digital Predictive Systems Inc. ("DPS"). The Company is now debt free and retains its exclusive license for the Direct Drive technology for North America. The repayment of the loan from DPS is anticipated to be a positive transaction for the Company. Now, the Company has received several new orders for windturbines.

The Company believes that the Direct Drive technology is gaining market acceptance as more customers recognize the benefits of having a windturbine without a main drive gear and without the problems associated with gear drives.

Orders have been received from Wind Vision, an Iowa-based Owner/Operator, and related parties for two AWE 54-900 windturbines.

Orders have also been received from two electric utilities, Waverly Light and Power in Waverly, Iowa, for two AWE 54-900 windturbines and Rural Electric Convenience Cooperative in Camp Point, Iowa, for one AWE 54-900 windturbine.

This brings the Company's recent orders to six, including the previously announced windturbine for the Wray School District in Wray, Colorado.

The Company continues to be very active in the U.S. Midwest.

      About Americas Wind Energy Corp.

AWEC is focused on the manufacturing and marketing of medium-sized (900 kW) windturbines for the North American market. AWEC's strategy is to manufacture as much as possible in North America, with the intention of providing both cost effectiveness and local content. All of AWEC's projects to date have made use of local tower manufacturers.

AWEC is, and intends to remain, a virtual manufacturer. This means AWEC plans to subcontract the components of its windturbines to qualified manufacturers and manufacturing partners to achieve the best in quality at the lowest cost. As a key part of the strategy of a virtual manufacturer, AWEC plans to maintain strict quality assurance programs and quality control procedures for its subcontractors and partners.

If you would like additional information on AWEC, please view AWEC's website at www.awewind.com and AWEC's listing on the OTCBB, symbol AWNE. For more information, or to join AWEC's mailing list, please contact the Investor Relations Department by emailing ir@awewind.com.
