hallo leute,
sollte uswc den zuschlag bei der handyortung
bekommen, ist sie dramatisch unterbewertet.
noch grassersiehtes bei der beteiligungsgesellschaft
global technologies(917186),welche 3 millionen
aktien von uswc hält.
beide sind übrigens stark im musterdepot von
nmi-inside gewichtet.
konkurrent in sicht.

gut in USWC investiert.
MfG Dauphin

Good Trades, Gruß LH

hallo allerseits,

Man erwarte hier in Kürze weitere gute Meldungen.
The Network Connection (WKN 897906) sei die zweite börsennotierte Beteiligung.

SAN RAMON, Calif., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Wireless Corporation (Nasdaq: USWC; Frankfurt: USP), a provider of location-based information and services, today reported financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2000.
Net losses for the year ended March 31, 2000 were $7.8 million or $0.62 per share, compared to $7.2 million or $0.83 per share, for the same period in 1999. Weighted average common shares outstanding for the year ended March 31, 2000 were 12,445,253 compared to 8,762,442 for the prior year. The increase in common shares outstanding included the conversion of portions of the Series A Preferred stock and Series B Preferred stock by the Company.
``This has been an exceptional year for U.S. Wireless,`` said Dr. Oliver Hilsenrath, Chairman & CEO. ``In fiscal 2000, we continued to establish our credibility, successfully expanding trial activities with leading wireless carriers. We commenced the build-out of the first leg of our nationwide deployment in Washington, DC, and won two state intelligent transportation systems contracts, which provided us with our first revenues.
``As the impending deadline for E-911 caller location approaches, we will continue to build out markets, and focus on strengthening relationships with wireless carriers who not only wish to meet the FCC mandate, but who also recognize the value of location information in enhancing their mobile customer offerings.``
Consolidated operating revenues were $249,178 for the year ended March 31, 2000, compared to $40,000 for the prior year. The increase in operating revenue is mainly attributable to a contract the Company received from Maryland`s Department of Transportation to provide location enhanced traffic information along the Maryland Beltway. The Company also received a contract from the Virginia Department of Transportation, which did not contribute revenues during fiscal 2000.
Net cash used for operating activities for the year ended March 31, 2000 were $5.0 million compared to $3.9 million for 1999. Increased costs were primarily attributable to commencement of an Operational Readiness Trial in the Maryland/Washington DC/Virginia Metro area, where the Company built additional sites to expand coverage and where it has established an east coast corporate office in Reston, Virginia. Additional expenses were also incurred for engineering and research and development related to the continued refinement, testing and deployment of the RadioCamera(TM) system, as well as for stock based compensation.
As of March 31, 2000, the Company had working capital of $4.8 million and cash and cash equivalents of $5.3 million. Subsequently, in June 2000, the Company raised approximately $22.5 million in a private placement of Series C Preferred Shares with American Tower Corporation.
Through the deployment of a national location services platform, U.S. Wireless will help wireless carriers meet the Federal Communication Commission`s requirements for E-911 caller location as well as power next generation Internet and mobility content services. The Company plans to build and operate a nationwide location service bureau, based on its proprietary RadioCamera(TM) system, in 100 major markets across the United States, beginning with the Washington, D.C./Baltimore metro area. For more information about U.S. Wireless and its RadioCamera(TM) network, please visit the Web site at www.uswcorp.com.

Global Technologies Divests Stake in Inter Lotto -UK- to Pursue New Strategies for Digital Gaming Network
PHILADELPHIA, Sep 5, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES, LTD. (NASDAQ: GTLL chart, msgs), including its wholly-owned UK subsidiaries, GlobalTech Holdings Limited and GTL Management Limited, announced today that, in order to pursue alternative strategic opportunities in the UK, it has terminated its operating agreements with Inter Lotto (UK) Ltd. ("Inter Lotto"), and has divested its 27.5% stake in the UK-based gaming company.
Under a termination agreement, Global Technologies and Inter Lotto have agreed to manage and operate the existing "Daily Number" lottery through December 31, 2000, with Global Technologies retaining all net revenues from the operations, after payment for prizes, charities, and sales commissions. Pursuant to the agreement, Inter Lotto has also remitted approximately (pound)750,000 of Value Added Tax rebates to Global Technologies in repayment of certain debts owed by Inter Lotto to Global Technologies, and the two parties have resolved certain other outstanding disputes and obligations.
Over the last eighteen months, Global Technologies has designed and deployed a robust, scalable gaming network in the UK, and has put in place a team of experienced industry executives and strategic partners to operate it. Subsequent to the pilot launch of the "Daily Number" lottery in April 2000, Global Technologies was approached by several parties seeking to initiate additional attractive operations using the Company`s gaming network infrastructure and lottery management services. After reviewing the economics of these opportunities relative to the higher operating costs of sustaining the Inter Lotto relationship, Global Technologies decided to terminate its operating agreements with, and divest its equity interest in, Inter Lotto.
Global Technologies Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Irwin Gross said, "We have been pleased by the ability of our UK company to successfully meet the challenge of setting up a complex, working network during this period. However, as a company focusing on the development of innovative technologies and businesses, we must maintain a disciplined approach to managing the resources, rewards, risks, and timelines of our various holdings. Therefore, we are repositioning our gaming network in order to pursue more promising business relationships with established UK gaming companies.
"The value of our network has been recognized by several other parties who are interested in utilizing Global Technologies` lottery management services and gaming network infrastructure. We are currently negotiating with certain parties to make use of this network in return for equity, revenue sharing, and/or cost reimbursement arrangements. These negotiations will be accelerated by the move away from Inter Lotto.
"In addition, each of these prospective opportunities is accompanied by an External Lottery Manager`s Certificate ("ELMC"), which will replace the Inter Lotto ELMC we are currently utilizing."
The Company has recently filed a Current Report on Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding this matter. The Company will also discuss the Inter Lotto divestiture and other recent developments on a Conference Call scheduled for Wednesday, September 6 at 4:00pm Eastern Daylight Time. Mr. Gross will be hosting the call. To participate please call the following teleconferencing number approximately five minutes before the call begins:

Press Release

CUE Corp. Partners With U.S. Wireless Corp.
Cue Expands Telematics Offering to Include Advanced Traffic & Congestion Information
DETROIT, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- CUE Corporation announced today the company has entered into an agreement with U.S.
Wireless Corporation (Nasdaq: USWC; Frankfurt: USP), a leading provider of location and traffic information, to distribute advanced speed and traffic congestion
data to its customers in the top 20 U.S. traffic markets. CUE Corp.`s real-time traffic information is available to drivers in over sixty markets across the United States
and Canada, through a national FM subcarrier network.
The agreement with U.S. Wireless will allow CUE to add live speed and traffic congestion data to its current service, which until now have been limited to location and
incident data, displayed by data text or icons on maps. Live speed and congestion data will give drivers more meaningful and actionable traffic information to improve
their overall driving experience. The new TrafficRadio service will be available in voice and data formats and will use CUE`s patented VoiceTMC® technology, which
converts data to voice, and then broadcasts it as compressed data over the FM subcarrier network using proprietary technology that transmits data at 48 kbps.
CUE`s high-speed network provides two data channels and three voice channels, one of which will be dedicated to CUE`s new TrafficRadio service offering location
and incident data as well as speed and congestion data.
Gordon Kaiser, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CUE, stated, ``We`re fortunate to be able to work with U.S. Wireless. Speed and congestion data are
critical to the development of the telematics industry. We believe that the U.S. Wireless RadioCamera(TM) system represents a major breakthrough that will enable
us to quickly offer meaningful traffic information to our customers across the nation.``
CUE will manufacture receivers for the new service, which will connect to most car radios through a cellular telephone interface. The service, which is available today
for a monthly fee, supports radios from Ford, BMW, Pioneer, Alpine, Sony and Becker. Additionally, the CUE Radio for the Handspring Visor will also carry the
TrafficRadio service. The data can also be received by a FM58 Telematics receiver, and connect to all navigation systems by RJ11, RS232 and I-Bus.
The new wireless service uses the Skyspeed®chip being developed by STMicroelectronics. Sergio Garue, the General Manager of ST`s Automotive Division stated,
``We are pleased to cooperate with CUE in this innovative new technology. Wireless Internet applications will become increasingly important to the automotive
industry. We expect that this chip will play a critical role in that development.``
U.S. Wireless is building a national location network that will provide mobile location and traffic related information including live data on surrounding traffic conditions
and speed and congestion information. Dr. Richard Mudge, President of Compass Services, the transportation division of U.S. Wireless Corp., said, ``We are very
pleased to be working with CUE, the nation`s largest FM radio data network, to provide meaningful traffic information.``
U.S. Wireless` location and traffic network is based on its award winning RadioCamera(TM) pattern matching location technology, and is now being deployed in the
United States.
CUE has also announced that it plans to distribute the traffic information from U.S. Wireless over GSM networks as well as it`s own FM subcarrier network. Kaiser
further stated, ``Our decision to expand the transmission of traffic data to GSM is motivated by two factors. First, there has been a demand by our customers for
alternative communication links. Second, Handspring has recently announced the VisorPhone for GSM networks. This new receiver allows us to run the CUE traffic
application on the Handspring Visor using GSM as well as our FM network. There has been a strong demand for traffic service on the Visor and are pleased to
expand it to a second network.``
About CUE:
CUE operates the world`s largest radio data network providing nationwide, regional, and local messaging throughout North America over the FM subcarrier facilities
of more than 600 radio stations. The company`s network covers more than 95% of the population of Canada and the United States with a seamless footprint of more
than two million square miles. Distributors of CUE services include AT&T Wireless, Ameritech, MobileMedia, Arch Communications, American Paging, Teletouch,
Skytel, and Clarion Corporation of America.
The CUE network is also used to distribute real-time traffic information in major markets in North America. Recently CUE introduced its esign© service to distribute
custom messaging and information services to electronic signs across North America.
In May of this year, CUE entered into an agreement with Tegaron GmbH in Germany and MediaMobile of France to from the International Traffic Data Alliance. The
Alliance will distribute real time traffic information in a consistent RDS/TMC format in Canada, the United States, France, Germany and England. Alliance partners
will use common encryption and conditional access technology, creating a de facto standard in both North America and Europe. CUE is responsible for providing
service in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Tegaron, the German partner, is a joint venture of Deutsche Telekom and DaimlerChrysler.

That`s up about $10 million over the prior fiscal year for the company, a technology incubator (Nasdaq: GTLL) that holds stakes in U.S. Wireless Inc. (Nasdaq: USWC) and The Network Connection Inc. (TNCX).
Costs of developing interactive entertainment systems for The Network Connection`s intended markets -- hotels and long haul passenger trains -- kicked in most of the $4.9 million loss for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2000.
"This past quarter was a very difficult one for us," Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Irwin L. Gross said in a prepared statement released in connection with the financials.
The earnings reports were held up because of the complexity of financing deals that ended the year 2000, the company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week.
Meltdown in the tech markets sent executives scrambling in December to cover calls Merril Lynch made against a credit line secured by U.S. Wireless stock.
From a March high point of more than $50 per share, U.S. Wireless stock had been knocked down to less than $8 per share.
The plummeting share price of the California holding also triggered a breach in a deal Global Technologies had with private investors holding $7 million in convertible notes, Advantage Fund II Ltd. and Koch Investment Group Ltd.
According to the earnings report, Global handed over 1.38 million shares of U.S. Wireless to get the notes canceled.
And keeping Merrill Lynch happy required the sale of 732,500 shares, the company said earlier.
Global Technologies owned 3 million shares of U.S. Wireless before the calls against the collateral came in. After coming to terms with the bank and investors, the technology investor holds a 3.9 percent stake in the wireless firm.
Besides the U.S. Wireless stock, Global Technologies issued Koch and Advantage $8 million in new unsecured notes and dealt down terms of a preferred stock conversion agreement, in connection with settling differences with the investors.
