Ein wenig Geographie kann da nicht schaden:
das Ägäisöl ist schon lange umstritten und wird es wohl noch lange bleiben.
Patras, Katakolo und Ioannina sind aber an der Westküste am ionischen Meer und haben mit der türkischen Grenze nichts zu tun.

A Greek and a Turkish coastguard vessel have collided in the Aegean Sea, the Greek foreign ministry said today, adding that a complaint would be made to Ankara over the issue, Agence France-Presse reported.

"The Turkish coastguard vessel was sailing dangerously and collided with a Greek coastguard vessel" on anti-immigration patrol near the island of Farmakonissi, the ministry said.

"Instructions have been given to the Greek embassy in Ankara for a demarche," the ministry said, adding that Greek territorial waters had also been breached in the process.

There were no immediate reports of injuries among the crews.

Greece has many islands a short distance from the Turkish coast. On the basis of post-World War II treaties, it claims waters which Turkey insists are neutral.

There is additional tension in the area due to gas exploration plans by Greek Cyprus in cooperation with Israel, both of whom have poor relations with Turkey.

Hab früher schon mal gelesen, dass vor griechischen Küsten (und die ist lang), viel Öl- und Gasvorkommen sein soll. Hoffentlich kein Konfliktpotenzial mit der Türkei. Aber wer weiss, evtl. sind die Schulden schneller kein Problem mehr als man meint. Jedenfalls sind 8 Gebote von 11 Firmen bisher nicht schlecht. Wie hoch die sein mögen? Hat sich mit dem Thema Exploration in Griechenland jemand hier näher beschäftigt und kann da Auskünfte geben?

Greece evaluating oil exploration bids"

Greece is evaluating bids to explore and produce oil and gas reserves in three blocks in the west of the country, Deputy Energy Minister Assimakis Papageorgiou said according to Bloomberg.

“The bids were opened in the middle of this month and are in the process of final evaluation,” Papageorgiou said at a conference yesterday, according to an e-mailed transcript of his comments from the ministry.

Greece received eight bids from 11 companies acting on their own, or as part of ventures, for oil and natural-gas reserves in the Patraikos Gulf and in Katakolo, located off the western coast, and in Ioannina in the northwest of the mainland, the Athens-based Energy Ministry said on July 2.

A venture between Hellenic Petroleum SA (ELPE), Edison International (EIX) SpA and Melrose Resources Plc (MRS) made bids for Ioannina and Patraikos, a group comprising Energean Oil & Gas SA, Trajan Oil & Gas Ltd. and Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB) bid for rights in Patraikos and Katakolo, while Energean and Schlumberger together with Petra Petroleum Inc. (PTL) bid for Ioannina, the ministry said.

Arctic Hunter Energy Inc. (AHU) and K.O. Enterprises Inc. made a joint bid for Ioannina while Chariot Oil and Gas Ltd. submitted an offer on its own. Grekoil Energy Ventures Ltd. made a solo bid for Katakolo.

Greece seeks bids for state stake in betting firm OPAP

Greece is set to launch an international tender next month for a 33 percent stake in state-controlled gambling monopoly OPAP , the country΄s privatisation agency said on Thursday.

The three-month-old conservative-led government has made privatisations a priority in trying to meet the demands for economic reforms made by international lenders to keep the country afloat.

According to Reuters, so far the asset sales have moved slowly due to a combination of bureaucratic foot-dragging and poor market conditions.

"The (privatisation) programme aims to attract new capital investment, create new jobs and open up Greek markets to competition," HRADF΄s chief executive Yiannis Emiris said, vowing to carry out the process "rapidly and with efficiency."

The state owns 34 percent of OPAP, one of Europe΄s biggest-listed gambling firms and the government had previously hinted it was aiming for an autumn sale as a "quick win" on the privatisation campaign.

Turkish conglomerate Dogan Holding has said it would consider taking part.

The tender for a 33 percent stake in OPAP will be carried out in two phases and expressions of interest must be submitted by 1600 GMT on October 19, the agency said in a statement.

Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch and National Bank of Greece SA are acting as financial advisers, it added.

Jedenfalls bin ich mir sicher keine Euphorie bei OPAP zu spüren (noch nicht )

Na, es scheint der Boden gefunden worden zu sein. Auch der ATHEX hält sich im Umfeld der Unsicherheit (Troikaergebnis, Unruhen, etc.) sehr gut.

Kleinere Rückkäufe von Unternehmen und Managern in eigene Aktien sind auch zu beaobachten.

denke auch dass der bekanntheitsgrad eine große rolle spielt. ich selbst spiele seit jahren oddset, obwohl österreichische u.a. anbieter 10% bessere quoten anbieten. warum?? weils um die die ecke ist und eben das geile gefühl das geld direkt auf die kralle zu kriegen.
entscheidend ist das gescäftsmodell bei opap; für den griechischen staat ist es fast egal ob er seine knete via steuern oder dividenden erhält.

ja ich denke auch dass die Abnahme des Monopols für den griechischen Staat teuer werden würde bzw. Opap eine schöne Cash-Injection erhalten würde
ich habe unter 4 wieder angefangen zu sammeln

Falls OPAP wirklich das Monopol verliert, stellt sich aber auch zugleich die Frage wie hoch der Erstattungsanspruch der OPAP für breits bezahlte Lizenzen ist. Das müsste dann ja bei der momentanen Marktkapitalisierung von ca. 1.2 MRD. € mit berücksichtigt werden.

Darüber hinaus sollten künftige Lizenzen günstiger zu haben sein, wenn es keine Monopol mehr geben darf.
Auch sollte man sich die Frage stellen wie hoch die Eintrittsbarrieren für ausländische Anbieter sind und wie diese akzeptiert werden. Ich denke dass auch hier der Bekanntheitsgrad und das Vertrauen des Gewohnten die meisten Spieler veranlasst dort zu bleiben was man kennt. Also langfristig evtl. gute Aussichten?

By the way ich pushe OPAP nicht durch meine Beiträge. Dazu sind die viel zu groß (Marktkapitalisierung 1,2 MRD).

Ja,denke du hast Recht ich verabschiede mich hiermit auch aus diesem Thread, dann soll "upordown" sein "Push" Werk vollenden und am besten mit sich selbst diskutieren...da ja auch nur der sachte Hinweis darauf das die Aktie unter Umstaenden gar nicht so umwerfend ist wie angenommen niedergemaeht wird, bringt eine Auseinandersetzung nichts...
Ich weiss auch schon was bei der naechsten kleinen Gegenbewegung auf 4.20 Euro gejubelt wird: Jetzt gehts los....Fonds steigt ein ...Uebernahme.....Kursziel xx.....
