Quest Uranium Adds Rare Earth Metals in Its Search for New Resources

      - Prospecting on the Stewart Lake property in 2008 led to the discovery of a Rare Earth Element (REE) mineralized granitic body returning appreciable quantities of REE, zirconium, yttrium, niobium and uranium

      - This new discovery lies approximately 10 km northeast of the Strange Lake zirconium-yttrium- REE deposit

      - The intimate association of REE with uranium in magmatic geological environments observed in the George River property area makes them a natural exploration value opportunity

      - Summer prospecting programs are being planned to expand the areas of known REE mineralization in the George River area, Quebec

Und hier noch ein Kommentar zur REE-Property:

"I am now starting to suspect that Strange Lake is a similar world class situation whose exotic potential is barely understood by anybody. And that is not surprising, because two decades ago when the deposit was discovered by Iron Ore Company, the low 1.3% TREO grade not only compared poorly to other deposits, especially in the context of surging supply from China's clay based rare earth deposits, but also because the majority of the rare earth content appeared to consist of elements for which there were tiny commercial markets. For the past couple decades the Strange Lake deposit has thus understandably been nothing more than a geological curiosity beloved by scientists who have studied the deposit to death and published unreadable academic papers about the geology of the deposit. But when you apply the four year average rare earth metal prices recently used by Wardrop Engineering to establish the cutoff grades for Avalon's latest Thor Lake 43-101 resource estimate, you get an astonishing rock value of US $304 per tonne for those samples Quest plucked from the main outcrop of the Strange Lake deposit. This compares favorably with the $414 per tonne rock value I get by applying the Wardrop prices to Avalon's Basal Zone grade."

      Ansonsten noch DML.TO und URE.TO.

Quest to Acquire Property Adjacent to the Strange Lake Rare Earth Deposit in the George River Area, Quebec

      - The property covers the potential geological continuation to known rare earth element (REE) mineralization related to the Strange Lake zirconium-yttrium-beryllium-niobium-REE deposit in the George River area of Quebec - Quest to acquire a 100% interest in the property by issuing 50,000 shares - The property lies 10 km south of the Stewart West high-grade REE discovery

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 26, 2009) - Quest Uranium Corporation (TSX VENTURE:QUC - News) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a purchase and sale agreement with two prospectors for the acquisition by Quest of a 100% interest in single block of mining claims in the Strange Lake area of northeastern Quebec. The property is fully enveloped by Quest's Stewart Lake property (Figure 1) and lies immediately north of the Strange Lake REE-zirconium (Zr)-yttrium (Y)-niobium (Nb)-beryllium (Be) deposit.

Under the terms of the agreement, Quest will acquire a 100% undivided interest in the property by issuing an aggregate of 50,000 shares to the two vendors of the property. In addition, Quest will grant a 2.0% net smelter royalty (NSR) to the vendors, which Quest can repurchase in full for $1.5 million.

"Quest now has 100% control of all of the favourable REE geology in and adjacent to our Strange Lake deposit," said Peter Cashin, Quest's President and CEO. "This acquisition will provide Quest with a high-value resource opportunity as it moves forward with its summer exploration plans in the area and is in keeping with our strategy of concentrating on rare earth metals."

The acquisition by Quest is subject to regulatory approval, including that of the TSX Venture Exchange.

Quest currently holds the Quebec portion of the Strange Lake REE-Zr-Y-Nb-Be Deposit discovered by the Iron Ore Company of Canada in the late 1970's (historical resource estimate, pre-National Instrument 43-101; Venkatswaran, 1983 - 52 million tonnes @ 3.25% ZrO2, 0.56% Nb2O5, 0.66% Y2O3, 0.12% BeO and 1.30% TREO). In addition, Quest has previously announced (see Press Release: April 7, 2009) that it had made a new discovery of high-grade REE mineralization in granite approximately 10 km northeast of Strange Lake. The mineralized granite is associated with a large radiometric anomaly measuring 2.25 km by 1.5 km. Several grab samples from preliminary work over the target area returned combined Y oxide (Y2O3) and Total Rare Earth Element oxides (TREO) of up to 4.35%. Individual uranium (U3O8) and zirconium (ZrO2) analyses of up to 0.36% and 1.34%, respectively, were also returned from sampling of the granite.

A significant exploration program consisting of reconnaissance prospecting, geological mapping, airborne geophysical surveying, rock geochemistry and diamond drilling is currently being planned for the summer and fall.

      Quality Control

Peter Cashin, P. Geo., is the qualified person on the George River Project under National Instrument 43-101 and was responsible for this news release. Material for analysis has been obtained from grab samples from outcrop and boulders. A strict QA/QC program is followed which includes the use of elemental standards, duplicates and blanks. Analyses were performed by Activation Laboratory Limited of Ancaster, Ontario.

The 1983 historical mineral resource estimate referred to in this press release was prepared before the introduction of National Instrument 43-101. No qualified person has done sufficient work to classify this historical resource estimate as current mineral resources or mineral reserves. Accordingly, Quest is not treating the historical resource estimate as current mineral resources or mineral reserves, as defined in National Instrument 43-101, and the historical resource estimate referred to in this press release should not be relied upon.

And one other one that I recently discovered because it was disguised as a uranium company is Quest Uranium Corporation (TSX.V:QUC). It turns out that they own part of the Strange Lake deposit that straddles the border between Quebec and Labrador. This was found during the '80s and it's lower grade than some of these other deposits. They did the pre-feasibility work and then shelved it and eventually abandoned it. Then Quest staked it and they found other showings suggesting similar grade.

The interesting thing about that deposit is it seems to have an unusual percentage of the heavier rare earth elements, which there was no market for back in the '80s. So these metals may have had a high price, but it was simply high because the stuff was rare and scientists would pay whatever it took to get these metals. Well, here you have an interesting situation where Quest may have an unusual abundance of the heavier rare earth elements that could become commercialized thanks to new applications that were not around during the '80s. Quest was trading at just a nickel a couple months ago and is now at $0.20 as the market discovers its rare earth story. We're seeing stocks like this start to attract market attention.

      A buck or more soon?

Not a lot of coverage out there ...although recently John Kaiser encouraged shareholders to resist the temptation to take quick profits.

      Why?

Because there are not many rare earth deposits in the same league as QUC's Strange Lake. It has a large tonnage footprint and a reliable history of exploration work that has defined a world class deposit that has exceptionally high levels of the "heavy" (more valuable) REE...up to 60% on the total rare earth content.

John went on to indicate that for QUC's share price to go up from here, Quest would have to complete a financing large enough for an in-fill drilling program on the Strange Lake deposit.

Lo and behold on June 17, 2009 Quest announced just that! A financing, which will raise $1.5 million. The money is slated to go towards an exploration program on Strange Lake this summer.

      Very positive news!!

Once this financing closes, the lid should be off the stock and imho, it will quickly gap up to a buck or more as there are relatively few shares out which are free trading.

      4 REE-liegenschaften:lick:

Fieldex acquires ownership of 100% of the Michikamats property, Labrador
Rouyn-Noranda, Canada, April 06, 2010. Fieldex Exploration Inc. (FLX: TSXV and F7E: Frankfurt) is very pleased to announce today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase a 100% interest in 635 mineral claims representing 15,550 hectares (155.5 sq.km), covering 100% of the Michikamats anomaly in Labrador. The Michikamats anomaly has many strong similarities to Quest Uranium's Misery Lake project in Quebec (Hornbrook, E.H.W. and Friske, P.W.B. (1989) and Dumont, R; Fortin, R; Hefford, S; Dostaler, F: (2010)

In early March 2010, the government of Labrador released new geophysical survey data for the Labrador side of Quest Uranium's Misery Lake and Strange Lake projects. The government data outlined a distinctly-anomalous ringed target just over the Labrador border (see map http://www.fieldexexploration.com/properties/detail-11.html)… Local prospectors staked the project and then offered it to Fieldex Exploration.

Martin Dallaire, President and CEO of Fieldex stated, "Fieldex's geological team is extremely happy with this acquisition. It is our intention to move this project forward rapidly, initially with prospecting and hopefully with drilling during the third quarter of 2010."

Under the terms of the Acquisition Agreement, Fieldex will acquire a 100% mineral interest in the claim block from Zimtu Capital Corp. and local prospectors Gary Lewis and Aubrey Budgells (the "Vendors"). In consideration for the property, the Vendors will receive $160,000 and 4,000,000 Fieldex shares over a twelve-month period, subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. The property is subject to a 2% Net Smelter Return Royalty, of which one half (1%) may be repurchased by Fieldex for $1 million.

Fieldex is also pleased to provide the following updates.

      Kipawa Drilling Program Update (REE)

Fieldex has completed nine drill holes for a total of 1,321 metres since the beginning of the exploration campaign on the yttrium-zirconium-heavy rare earths Lac Sairs project in Kipawa. The drill rig is currently moving to the south shore of the Kipawa river and should resume drilling on April 7th for an additional six to eight holes (see map on Fieldex website). More than 200 samples have been sent to ALS Chemex/SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories so far and results will be communicated as soon as available. The communities of Eagle Village First Nation and Wolf Lake First Nation have been consulted and agreed to the current drilling campaign.

Delbreuil Property Update (REE & Rare Metals)

On January 27, 2010, Fieldex announced a new REE discovery on its Delbreuil property, 100 km north of the Lac Sairs project. Drilling permits were requested in early March for a ten-hole (1,500 metres) diamond-drilling program and are expected by mid-April 2010. The community of Long Point First Nation was consulted on March 26 with respect to the upcoming drilling campaign.

Case Pegmatite Project Update (REE & Rare Metals)

On March 10, 2010, Fieldex and Mantis Mineral Corp. entered into an option agreement pursuant to which Fieldex has an exclusive and irrevocable option to acquire up to a 60% interest in five mining claims covering 480 hectares, comprising the Case pegmatite project, a lithium-tantalum-rich pegmatite located in Steele township 75 kilometres east of Cochrane, Ontario. The seven holes core (NQ size) representing 508 metres were recently retrieved and brought to Fieldex Exploration offices in Temiscamingue. The Case Pegmatite project was evaluated by Platinova in 2001 for its tantalum potential and very limited assaying was done for REE and Rare Metals. Fieldex is currently re-sampling the core for REE and Rare Metals.

      Quality Assurance/Quality Control

Fieldex Exploration has implemented and adheres to a strict Quality Assurance/Quality Control program which includes mineralized standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Assay samples are taken from drill core sawed in half with one half sent to a commercial laboratory and the other half retained for future reference.

      Qualified Person

The work program is carried out under the supervision of Robert Sansfaçon, geologist and qualified person as per National Instrument 43-101

      About Fieldex:

Fieldex is a mineral resource company actively exploring in Quebec for base and strategic group metal deposits located throughout Canada, representing over 600 km². FNX Mining Company owns 6,500,000 shares of Fieldex Exploration Inc. Fieldex has 58,122,018 shares outstanding, a cash position of $3M and an investment of 800,000 shares in Visible Gold Mines Inc.

Rare Earth Metals Completes Letitia Lake/Red Wine Airborne Survey
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO, Jul 20, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Rare Earth Metals Inc. ("Rare Earth Metals", "RA" or the "Company") /quotes/comstock/11v!ra (CA:RA 0.16, 0.00, 0.00%) is pleased to announce the completion of a 3621 line kilometre airborne magnetic and radiometric survey on its Letitia Lake/Red Wine property in west-central Labrador conducted by Aeroquest Limited of Mississauga, Ontario (see previous press release dated July 6, 2010). The property is located 120 kilometres WNW from Goose Bay, Labrador, however, the Churchill Falls hydro dam access road is located 40 kilometres from the property. A 12 to 15 person camp has been established on the road and this is being used as a staging point for the field work. The recently completed airborne survey measured total field magnetic intensity and horizontal gradient measurements, and radiometric data consisting of uranium, thorium, and potassium counts. Flight line spacing was 100 metres with the aircraft flying at 50 metres height.

Numerous high priority radiometric/magnetic anomalies have been isolated for follow-up, many of which are associated with known mineralized trends. The results of the survey include identification of 73 anomaly clusters, occurring over a total strike length of 51 kilometers across the claim group. These radiometric targets are comprised of discrete circular anomalies from 100 meters in diameter to broad irregular composite features up to 4500 meters in length and from 150 meters to 1500 meters in width and were prioritized using the magnetic and radiometric data in conjunction with topographic and geological maps. This airborne survey is being followed by an intensive field program comprised of prospecting the target sites, geological mapping, lithogeochemical sampling and channel sampling. Samples are being submitted for rare earth element, beryllium and niobium analysis. To date 130 samples have been submitted to the lab and initial results are expected by the end of July.

Channel sampling and geological mapping is also continuing on several of the previously reported rare metal showings encompassed in the claim group. (See previous press release dated July 6, 2010). To date, three of five trenches on the Mann#1 deposit have been channel sampled and a total of 97samples have been submitted for analysis. Preliminary field mapping has delineated REE/Nb/Be radioactive zones over widths up to 60 meters over a strike length of 500 meters. The new airborne data has defined this same zone as a strong radioactive anomaly with a 2000 meter strike length. The survey has also enhanced the other known showings on the RA claims, for example the anomaly which hosts the Michelin#1 showing is 2000 meters long, and the anomaly which hosts the Mann#2 showing is 3000 meters long.

The Letitia Lake/Red Wine District is a 60 km long arcuate belt of per-alkaline volcanic and intrusive rocks which hosts a number of significant Rare Earth Element/Niobium/Beryllium/Zirconium prospects which have seen little or no work since the early 1960's. The geological setting is analogous to the Strange Lake per-alkaline belt which hosts the Strange Lake Rare Metal deposits including Quest Rare Minerals' newly discovered B-Zone. RA owns or has optioned a total of 816 claim units (Please note this a correction on the previously reported 1295 claim units in press release dated July 6, 2010) in the Letitia Lake/Red Wine belt and the land package covers most of the previously known showings.

Wayne Reid, PGeo, is a qualified person as defined in National Instrument 43-101, and has reviewed and approved the technical information forming the basis for release.

Quest Rare Minerals' B-Zone Definition Drilling Extends REE Deposit to Over 309.0 Vertical Metres, Strange Lake, Quebec
Highlights: - B-Zone drilling continues to expand the mineralized granite and has shown important expansion of the high grade surface pegmatite zone for over 1.0 km in strike length, with widths varying from 225 to 550 m and vertical thickness from 10 to over 112 metre - Multiple, high grade intersections of between 1.21% and 5.31% TREO over widths of 1.43m and 112.65m characterize all holes drilled into the surface pegmatite zone, within a larger, 140.86 and 309.9 m-thick, mineralized envelope grading between 0.86%-1.02% TREO - Deepening of 2009 drillholes into the B-Zone deposit have extended the granite hosted mineralization from a maximum vertical thickness of 135.2 m to over 309 m vertical - Drilling will focus on further refinement of the high grade surface pegmatite mineralized zone

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Sep 16, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Quest Rare Minerals Ltd. /quotes/comstock/11v!e:qrm (CA:QRM 3.76, +0.26, +7.43%) is pleased to report the first results from 2010 diamond drilling of their B-Zone rare earth element (REE) deposit. The drilling is intended to determine the vertical extent of the mineralized system defined in 2009, to improve the confidence of the continuity of the system, and to better define the higher grade pegmatite resource observed to outcrop at surface as defined by previous Quest drilling. The B-Zone REE deposit has now been defined over a minimum of 1.1 km in strike length, over a width of up to 600 m and up to a vertical thickness of 309.9 m, more than double the previously reported vertical thickness ()(). Lab results for holes BZ-10-20 to BZ-10-30A have returned multiple, high Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO) grade intersections of between 1.21 % and 5.31% over thicknesses of 1.43 m to 112.65 m. Heavy REE (HREE) represents between 39% and 76.6% of the Total REE (TREO) content intersected in the new drilling. Mineralization continues to be open to resource expansion along strike length and across width of the zone.

"Drilling on the B-Zone continues to support management's view that the B-Zone represents a very large rare earth element resource," said Peter Cashin, Quest's President & CEO. "With a very positive Preliminary Economic Assessment for the B-Zone in hand and evidence that the deposit continues to expand in all directions, particularly for the higher grade surface pegmatite mineralization, we view that the project's prospects will only improve as our exploration progresses."

      B-Zone Definition Drill Program

Assays have been received for the first 11 definition drillholes of the program representing 2244.0 m (see Table 1, 2). Currently three diamond drills are probing the B-Zone at drill centers of between 50-100 m. Drill results have confirmed strong REE mineralization over 1.1 km strike length and over widths of up to 600 m. Drilling continues to confirm mineralization to be relatively flat dipping. A north trending pegmatite zone at the core of the mineralized envelop (see Figure 1) which is observed to outcrop, has been defined along a minimum strike length of 1.0 km and vertical thicknesses of up to 112.65 m and constitute the highest grades observed in the B-Zone deposit. The surface footprint of the deposit is expressed as a two km-long, northeast trending airborne radiometric anomaly northwest of the Strange Lake Main Deposit. The radiometric anomaly abuts to the northwest against Brisson Lake and may extend further under the lake. Historical IOC drilling indicates that mineralization continues in this direction.

The best results returned from the first 11 holes of the program (see Table 2), are:

      will be re-drilled as BZ-10-30B

The better grades of mineralization are associated with what is termed the Pegmatite Zone which is composed of a high proportion of very coarse-grained pegmatite intercalated with extremely altered intrapegmatitic Strange Lake peralkaline granite at the uppermost parts of the B-Zone mineralized system (see Diamond Drill Sections in Figures 2, 3). The highly-altered granite hosting pegmatites continues to carry elevated grades of REE in excess of 0.7% TREO over core lengths of over 309 m. A 0.85% TREO cut-off, as specified in Quest's recent Preliminary Resource Estimate ()(), was used in determining the average grades of diamond drill intersections.

In addition, we anticipate that the final Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) report by Wardrop Engineering Inc. will be filed on www.SEDAR.com shortly. Clarification on the many economic parameters presented in the PEA ()(), including the pricing assumptions used in the study, will be elaborated on.

      Quality Control

Mr. Peter Cashin, P. Geo., is the qualified person on the Strange Lake Project under National Instrument 43-101 and was responsible for this news release. Material for analysis has been obtained from drill core which was cut in half using a diamond saw. Half of the core was sent to the lab for analysis, with the remaining half left on-site for future reference. A strict QA/QC program is followed which includes the use of elemental standards, duplicates and blanks. Analyses were performed by Activation Laboratory Limited of Ancaster, Ontario.

In addition, Quest announced the discovery of an important new area of REE mineralization on its Misery Lake project, approximately 120 km south of Strange Lake project. Quest continues to pursue high-value project opportunities throughout North America

RARE EARTH EXPLORATION: Quest raises $46.5M for Strange Lake work
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
QUEBEC - Toronto's Quest Rare Minerals is raising $46.5 million for a prefeasibility study of its Strange Lake B zone on the border with Labrador. A portion of the funds will be used to exploration on the company's Misery Lake project south of Strange Lake.
The company has a inferred resource estimate for the B zone of 114.8 million tonnes averaging 0.999% total rare earth oxides at a 0.85% TREO cutoff. The mine model calls for a 4,000-t/d open pit mine requiring capital expenditures of $563.4 million.
Quest plans to issue 8.2 million units at a price of $4.25 each for gross proceeds of $35 million and 2.3 million flow-through shares at a price of $5.00 each for gross proceeds of $11.5 million. The company will grant an over-allotment to the agents that include Dundee Securities, CIBC World Markets and Stonecap Securities.
Maps of Quest's Strange Lake and Misery Lake properties are posted at www.QuestRareMinerals.com.
