Apart from EntropyLord, we are all believers. This is the story we are all agreeing on with varying degrees of upside to be sure, but upside for all, EL aside:
Confirmed resources of high grade sand suitable for the more expensive end of the market in glass, foundry and other niche uses. Over 1 billion tonnes & projected mine life exceeding 100 years
Modest capex requirements - $25m/plant
3 x 2mtpa production targets
12 months from mining licence to production
Management spent their own money to buy into this company big (BM bought $900k during the suspension). Tightly held by the big holders.
Indispensable product - second largest traded solid commodity - uses in many different things but impractical to be substituted e.g. a new battery technology could kill Lithium & Cobalt but sand cannot be easily substituted for many situations
Massive supply crunch looming for all grades of sand all across Asia. Legal problems getting sand in most of the consuming countries
Existing lightly used rail & port facilities accessible to mine sites
A significant number of MOU regarding future sales
A strategic alliance with the largest glass co in China who will market VRX products as well as buying them
We are all waiting for the BFS (Bankable Feasibility Study(ies)). This will have the one thing we do not know at present and that is what the products will sell for. There have been many speculations ranging from $30/t to hundreds. My speculation is that the project is not worth doing unless you can make something more than $10/tonne at the port. Many others here think a more likely number is $50 and others think higher. BFS will tell.
So, a simple calculation puts 6 million tonnes x your preferred profit figure with very low commodity risk. Our worst case scenario is a profit figure in the order of $60mpa. Between the $10pt and the $50pt profit guesses, you end up with an earnings per share number range of 15 to 75 cents in, say, 3 years.
On top of all that, there are a couple of other projects that VRX are working which look good. And the cherry on the cake is the China Glass Co are looking into building a glass factory joint venture in WA. This would massively increase the revenue to VRX per tonne of extracted sand - I imagine (but don't know) something like a 10 fold profit boost for sand used in the factory. So, if you are earning $50 by getting the sand to port, you might get $500 by making something from it.
All the above is speculation but it is hard to see where there could be problems. A few have challenged the size of the market for the high grade sand. It could be that these plants could dump onto the market and drop the price for everyone. I don't accept that and I'm expecting the BFS to confirm the size of the market.
What else? The noises that VRX are making now suggest that there will be no need for a capital raising. BFS will confirm/refute this.
We holders are looking for a boost to 50 cents on the back of a good BFS with a trading range above that (50 to 70?) until all approvals and licences are granted (there seem to be no obstacles here) ending up at $2 when production starts and who knows from there.
Of course, I could be entirely wrong. I'm 58 and relatively poor, which tells you that this serial optimist has been wrong before in spectacular fashion.
If you do your own research you will find that pretty much everything I say above is fair. It is for you to weigh the merit of the individual items.
We all think we are tied to a rocket heading for the moon and the fuse has been lit.

Singapore pays between $70 and $120 usd per ton on construction sand, can be up to $200 per ton.
Desert sand is no good for construction because the wind erosion makes the sand too round to bind in cement.
Extracting sand is a $70 billion per year industry.
Sand prices are now about $70 per ton and sometimes can be as high as $200 per ton.
There is global criminal activity related to the sand trade and there are environmental effects. The average price of sand imported by Singapore was US$3 per tonne from 1995 to 2001, but the price increased to US$190 per tonne from 2003 to 2005.
So if V can do construction sand there is a good profit in that supply chain. Now if that is the going rate for construction sand then the $350 usd per ton for 98.5% is probably in order.
so by all logic and reasoning the V should end up with a market cap of a Billion usd plus. If the numbers stack up then the market has not the required metrics to make an informed judgement, thus way way below the radar.

Interesting paragraph on page 11, project funding
It seems VRX have no shortage of interested parties to assist with funding by various methods, which confirms what we have thought all along.
The BFS figures are therefore worst case, which assumes VRX have to raise all cash for the projects.
The will clearly not be the case and is a huge bonus for us. Less debt, quicker payback period, and quicker into positive cashflow.
Project Funding
The financial model summarised in the BFS sets out the project metrics and provides a basis for the potential capital structure of the Company for the development of the Project. Total capital expenditure at Arrowsmith North (for a 2 million tonnes per annum processing plant) is estimated at approximately A$28million (the BFS details capital cost estimates). The Company anticipates that the source of funding the capital investment at Arrowsmith North will be anyone, or a combination of, equity, debt and pre-paid offtake from the project.Whilst no final decision has been made in that regard, the financial model assumes a maximum A$26 million in debt. The Company has received a number of enquiries and expressions of interest from debt financiers for the Project. As noted above, the financial model provides for debt capacity and is designed to meet the expectations of any providers of potential debt funding for their due diligence and other internal requirements. In addition, VRX has also received enquiries and expressions of interest from organisations across Asia for silica sand products from the project and holds signed letters of intent for substantial tonnages. A number of these organisations have expressed interest in becoming a funding partner of the Company for development of a mine by way of pre-paid off take arrangements. The balance of the Company’s capital requirements will be funded from equity capital.

Hi Tumby
Video Summary below,
BFS is culmination of huge amount of work done in the last 18mths.
over 700million tonnes
Mining lease was selected because it contains the same type of vegetation which makes environmental approval easy.
within lease is resource of 200million tonnes.
100yrs worth.
BFS is 25yrs which is 1/4 of production
Bruce thinks it is a very robust operation. Has an NPV of 240 million dollars at 10% discount.
Focus moving forward is looking at arrowsmith central and muchea. Both are in the process of BFS stage.
Each project is separate and will not compete with each other.
Muchea = high grade
Arowwsmith C = Foundry
Arrowsmith N = different foundry and glass
Processing plants can be adjusted to suit industry demand.
On silica market tracking - China = biggest for glass (flat and container), Korea is largest foundry = strong demand for right product, glassmaking in the phillipines, talking to Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia for fibre optics. Bruce thinks market will only get better due to intelligence pointing to increasing shortages. short, medium and long term
Financially - 1.5Million in the bank however not spending much. BFS is time consuming. All major spending has been carried out.
Beyond BFS is Environmental approvals

I have said many times, that this is much the same as the Nova Bollinger Nickel discovery but its not Nickel, and it does not have the allure of gold or copper but is worth billions just on one BFS and the Jewel in the crown is yet to come. So some extrapolation of the forward position is a resource net worth in excess of $5 Billion growing at 7% per year. A plant cost pay back in two years and a market cap of currently $50 mil. This is so close to being a turn key operation, please supply bank details for dividend deposits.

roject Funding
The financial model summarised in the BFS sets out the project metrics and provides a basis for the potential capital structure of the Company for the development of the project. Total capital expenditure at Muchea (for a 2 million tonnes per annum processing plant) is estimated at approximately A$33 million (the BFS details capital cost estimates).
The Company anticipates that the source of funding for the capital investment at Muchea will be any one, or a combination of, equity, debt and pre-paid offtake from the project. Whilst no final decision has been made in that regard, the financial model assumes a maximum A$30 million in debt.
A number of these organisations have expressed interest in becoming a funding partner of the Company for development of a mine by way of pre-paid offtake arrangements or commercial debt funding.
The balance of the Company’s capital requirements will be funded from equity capital.
Whilst the envisaged project development requires a low capital intensity relative to a greenfields hard rock mining project, and any one of, or a combination of equity, debt and pre- paid offtake is planned, VRX has not as yet secured the required capital. The positive financial metrics of the BFS and feedback from potential funding partners provides encouragement as to the likelihood of meeting optimum project and corporate capital requirements.
Grabbed a few more late yesterday and happy to wait till permits are okayed. Financials are pretty solid and company certainly has a few options to raise the $30 mill.
Love that it’s low cost to mine, also like that VRX has reasonably small share issue of about 400mill.
Would I be right in assuming that the company has justified its BFS and the total loan on the 12% interest rate? Then it can get the $30mill figure down by raising or offtakes?
Im assuming they would have a good idea of where finance is coming from- and be ready to hit the ground running when permits are in?

VRX Silica receives high-purity quartz results up to 99.95% at Warrawanda project in WA
2019-03-05 12:52:00
After changing direction from nickel prospectivity to supply the silica sand market, the company re-evaluated the project area for quartz outcrops.
A quartz outcrop at the project close to the town of Newman
VRX Silica Limited (ASX:VRX) has received high-purity quartz (HPQ) results of up to 99.95% silica in rock chip samples at the Warrawanda project south of Newman in WA.
Three outcrops have been sampled and returned outstanding results, showing the potential to produce a high-value, high-purity quartz product.
READ: VRX Silica lodges final silica sand mining lease application for Arrowsmith Central
VRX Silica managing director Bruce Maluish said: “This is potentially yet another product we can supply in the silica market.
“The HPQ market is much smaller and industry-specific than the silica sand market for glassmaking but it is significantly higher value with prices up to US$300 per tonne for crushed and bagged HPQ.”
Recent focus of exploration has been on the quartz hills of the Warrawanda tenements, which rise to 15 metres.
Two hills, WWQ4 and WWQ6, were checked and sampled, along with a quartz vein internal to the WWQ5 ultramafic unit.
The results indicate the quartz in the outcrops is almost pure silica with very little in the way of contaminants.
It is possible to estimate an exploration target for the quartz outcrops that were visited, however, there are other outcrops on the tenements which remain to be further investigated.
The potential quality and grade of these exploration targets are conceptual in nature. There has not been sufficient exploration to estimate a mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the estimation of a resource.
Approval to diamond drill these and other quartz targets have been received and the company will conduct a native title heritage survey before drilling begins in the June quarter of 2019.READ: VRX eyes resource expansion for silica sand portfolio in Western Australia
The diamond drilling program will be designed to test the extent and quality of the deposits after the survey.

Some posters just seem to delight in posting inaccuracies, madball theories etc. It is just an agenda to try de-rail any positive spin, stir a hornets nest of doubt.
And they always claim to know better than the Board, pointing out irrelevant trivia.
lets put it this way:
Has anyone EVER before been involved in a company delivering three Bankable Feasibility Studies, and all within a space of 10 weeks. Not only are the scale of the dollar numbers contained within very impressive, so is the amount of work a small team have put into nearly 500 pages of documentation.
The team led by Bruce have explored all the options and left no stone unturned, they are the ones talking to port authorities, government agencies, engineering firms, rail, China southern glass etc etc.
AND, have you also considered the very real possibility of a glass factory on site or close to Muchea . It’s been mentioned so many times by Bruce, its a matter of when, not if, in my opinion.
So I would implore everyone to do their own reading and research and ignore the clowns with the “oh my God, they haven’t considered this” theories.
You know its just a wind up attempt.
I have done my homework on VRX, followed every move, and am more than happy with my investment.

Yes I went. Good meeting.
Bruce gave an insightful presentation after the meeting. He assured us mining licenses are only a formality from here as all native title issues have been agreed.
He said water was not a problem as it can be accessed from bores into the Yarragadee water table below. This is a huge underground water source. The water used will be recycled. Water is not an issue.
Bruce gave the impression they had many interested parties in offtake agreements. He said he stressed to them first in will get the best deal. The attitude towards customers seemed that deals won't be a problem it will be more a matter of choosing the best customers to deal with and reassured us their marketing manager was up to speed in this area.
Bruce restated that the world supply was continuing to decrease while demand was increasing. Bruce was very bullish on the quality of product that can be produced for market.
The immediate goal is to get production up to 1mt pa and then work on the other 1mt pa. He hoped to fund capital costs with a combination of offtake funding, borrowings and maybe capital raising but hoped to keep CR to a minimum.
Bruce stressed that the BFS was based on conservative numbers.
I came away with a very positive picture of the future.
In my opinion the granting of the licences and a firm offtake agreement will give more confidence to the market and should see a rerating.
Hope this helps.

Moin @Montekaolino ,

Good interview, and again Bruce mentions that they are trying to entice a Company to build a glass processing factory next to Muchea deposit, as we have the necessary gas pipelines for energy. Obviously, we know he is referring to CSG.
It seems pretty clear, that once this stalemate is broken, VRX is set to fly.
I with the Dept of Environment would put their running shoes on

You should do well with the strategy of holding 500,000 shares through to maturity.
I plan to keep hold of double that number.
I have re-read the BFS papers again, honestly, how can this not succeed? Arrowsmith OR Muchea has the very real potential of turning VRX into a billion-dollar company, but we are in an enviable position of having both.
The Virus has added incredible market volatility we did not need, but the reaction is not exclusive to VRX as some posters would have us believe.
The markets will stabilise.
The drawn-out approvals process is painful and taking longer than we anticipated, but VRX is making progress. Dealing with local and federal government agencies cannot be easy, the red tape must be tortuous. VRX has also done well to efficiently deal with two separate NT claimants, one already signed off and the other not far off.
Sooner or later VRX will get the approvals they need to forge ahead.
Silica sand is probably one of the very few commodities that will never go out of favour, I can only see demand increasing year on year. Honestly, how can it not succeed?
I will bet my last dollar that we have predatory interest circling like vultures. We have 42 prospective customers waiting to wet their appetite. Would Bruce turn down a decent offer? Or do the Board see better shareholder value by rejecting any approaches?
Two billion $ is chump change to some internationals.
Let's see how the story unfolds.

During the paranoia and market turmoil of late, it's good to read a solid half year report.
$4 million in cash to 31 Dec, and a good summary of where we are at for all three projects.
Bring on the final NT settlement and mining licenses, things could get exciting from Q2 onwards.

Hi @Reiners ,
