Die Novotrade Aktie scheint doch nicht mehr auf die alten
Tiefststaende zurueckzufallen. Stehen wohl doch wichtige
Aenderungen in der Gesellschaft an. Es waere hoechste Zeit,
denn die Gesellschaft sollte endlich im Interesse der
Aktionaere mal neu ausgerichtet werden. Shareholder Value
war fuer das jetzige Management zumindestens ein Fremdwort.
Die ungar. Post soll grosses Interesse an einem Ausbau des
Sunbooksprojekts haben. Aber wann wird das Management die
Konsumbeteiligungen los? Oftmals kommen Veraenderungen, wenn
niemand mit rechnet.

WORLD STANDARD ELECTRONIC BOOK DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM TO BE INTRODUCED IN HUNGARY
Sunbooks Ltd. starts to contract with partners

Budapest, June 22, 2000. - Sunbooks Ltd. started today to contract 600 publishers and thousands of possible buyers to introduce the first Hungarian B2B electronic book distribution system. The logistic partner is Hungarian Post. The electronic trade will start at 1st of August, 2000.
The Sunbooks-system is not a B2C system: it provides book retailers, libraries and schools the possibility to browse, select, order and initiate the return of the books via Internet. They receive the ordered books within 24 hours without any charge.
Hungarian Post Office gives the logistics for this service based on its warehouse (12,000 m2) with state-of-the-art logistic system in Budaõrs. Books ordered via Internet will be picked, packed and delivered in special sealed containers to the business partners.
The services will be charged only to the publishers.
„This system is similar to the distribution systems used generally in Western Europe and the USA” - said Dr. Peter J. Sos, Chief Executive Officer of Sunbooks. - „However, we use the newest information technology. Of course we’ll help the retailers without Net connection to get computers and Net connection for discounted price.”
The electronic model, hardware and software are delivered by IBM Hungary Ltd.
The major shareholder of Sunbooks Ltd. is Novotrade Investment Co. Ltd. “Our core activity is the e-business. We already have a working e-business company in Great Britain, and now we’re introducing our first Hungarian e-business system, as well. Our main goal is to became one of the most important e-business trading corporations in Hungary.” - said Mr. Gabor Renyi, President and CEO of Novotrade Co.
With this trading system the publishers get rid of warehousing, logistics, and a lot of administration. In the meantime book retailers can spare the costs of book supply, warehousing, and time. All these sources can serve higher quality of services, and bigger selection of books.
