GRIC Offers Prepaid Wireless Service to Network and Corporate Customers Through MIND CTI
Agreement Enables GRIC to Offer Payment Options Critical to Key Markets
MILPITAS, Calif. & YOQNEAM, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 2001--GRIC Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:GRIC - news) and MIND CTI (Nasdaq:MNDO - news) announced that members of the GRIC Alliance Network(TM) will be able to offer their customers a prepaid wireless IP roaming service as a result of a strategic agreement between GRIC and MIND.

Under the agreement, GRIC will bundle MIND`s MIND-iPhonEX® rating engine with its global corporate remote access service. MIND-iPhonEX enables service providers to offer their customers real-time, prepaid services. Combined with GRIC`s roaming network, the solution will enable business travelers to have secure, prepaid Internet access from broadband wireless LAN `hotspots` found at such places as airports, hotels, and convention centers.

``This agreement with MIND CTI will allow GRIC to broaden its penetration into the emerging wireless market by opening up opportunities in extremely important key markets such as China, Latin America, and some European countries where prepayment for services rather than credit is the norm,`` said John Rasmus, GRIC`s vice president of Business Development and Strategy. ``End users in such countries can now arrange with service providers the ability and convenience of accessing the Internet through WiFi connections at public access points as they become available around the world before they travel.``

MIND-iPhonEX offers a scalable, real-time rating engine that allows wireless operators to offer a variety of content and usage based prepaid services and gives them the flexibility to manage them any way they choose. Operators may:

institute rates that differ according to the origination location
limit roaming to specific times of the day or days of the week
      place geographical limits on roaming
vary rates according to the length of the session
``We`re seeing a huge demand for prepaid wireless services and we`re delighted to be working with GRIC to meet this need. GRIC`s wireless network enables WLAN providers to have a much larger footprint and to attract and retain customers,`` said Zeev Braude, vice president of Marketing and Business Development for MIND. ``Our real-time technology enables broadband wireless IP access to be as simple as inserting your prepaid card into a kiosk.``
