Hallo Freunde,
Hartcourt Signed JV Agreement For Wireless ISP and IP Phone
Business Wire - October 25, 1999 18:16
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1999--The Hartcourt Companies Inc. (OTC:HRCT) today announced that it has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Innostar HiTech Enterprises of China to establish a nationwide Internet Service Provider (ISP) and IP Phone Service in China.
Innostar has been operating an IP Phone Service in Beijing for the last 14 months, in cooperation with a leading Chinese telecom company. With the participation of Hartcourt, Innostar could expand this IP Phone Service to other cities and provinces in China. Projected revenue from the IP Phone Service alone would be $2.8 million in 2000. Net profit is estimated at $1.6 million.
Innostar also owns the license for a national ISP. The Joint Venture company will provide high-speed Internet connections to hotels, office buildings and apartment complexes, using a Chinese satellite with bi-directional KU bands to transmit data to these commercial users. It will be a first for China. Both parties are committed to providing the most sophisticated technology for the system infrastructure in addition to strong strategic alliances for its marketing program.
The Joint Venture will bring in additional JV partners, well-known American and Chinese firms, to strengthen its unique market position. The national license will also allow the Joint Venture to engage in e-commerce activities and other Internet services.
The Joint Venture will be called INNOSTAR, and should start the operation within 4 months. Innostar will hold 65 percent and Hartcourt will hold 35 percent of ownership in the Joint Venture.
At present, China has about 4.5 million Internet users. As the phone charge keeps getting lower and the basic PC prices are at the $200 level, China Internet Data Research expects the number of Chinese users to grow to more than 100 million by 2005, second only to the United States.
Dr. Alan Phan, Chairman & CEO of Hartcourt, said: "As we said previously, we will proceed wholeheartedly with the national ISP project. Innostar is such a powerful enterprise that we will be ensured of strong support in the telecom industry. The IP Phone operation is currently profitable, so the cash flow projection is much better than a brand-new start-up.
"We could not ask for a better partner. The synergy created by this ISP project will enhance the success of our financial portal, being created by UAC Online Trading and Financial Telecoms Ltd. Our focus on Asian Internet is finally producing the desired results."
Dr. Jinsong Zeng, president of Innostar Hi-Tech Enterprises, said: "Hartcourt has been diligent in pursuing Chinese Internet projects. The imported American technology will help us in growing our IP Phone systems much faster. The high-speed wireless connection via satellite will be the wave of the future, as we have witnessed the explosion of mobile phone usage in China. We are happy working with Hartcourt management and believe that our Joint Venture will be a great success."

Hi!
Danke

In Deutschland:
Bin gespannt was um 16.00 Uhr in Amiland abgeht!

Question and answer session:
Today I had a long conversation with MYSELF, and here was the gyst of it:
JD.COM MIND: IS THE POTENTIAL OF CHINA`S INTERNET MARKET HUGE?
JD.COM: Interesting question JD. Considering it looks as though the China Internet model is
different from the American Internet model. FINNET.COM is estimated to make 4 Mil in rev,
1.5 PROFITS. (FAT 40% MARGIN) INNOSTAR 2.5 rev, 1.6 PROFITS. (FAT 60% MARGIN)
American companies would plow those profits into MARKETING, while China companies
refuse to take a loss. This is great news for internet investors, as it looks like investors are
tiring of the "no profit" internets.
JD.COM MIND: PHAN SEEMS TO HAVE COVERED ALL INTERNET BASES IN CHINA,
ANYTHING LEFT?
JD.COM: There seems to be tremendous synergies in what Phan is doing. Plan is very
thought out, vision is clear. Financial data bank + online trading system = finanial portal. (A la
china raging bull) ISP access to get to the portal via phone lines OR wireless technology - an
ISP that is ranked top three in China with members. What does Phan do for an encoure, the
china EBAY next?
JD.COM MIND: LOOKING AT SOME OF THESE INTERNETS, HRCT IS NOT EVEN
CLOSE IN VALUE AND DOES NOT SEEM TO BE GETTING THE EXTRA PREMIUM
MOST INTERNETS DESERVE, WHY?
JD.COM: A few factors come in to play here. First, UAC financing and ISP financing not
complete as of yet, but in my mind will be soon. Also, the China, WTO connection - will China
open up access to get membership into the WTO? You can be sure of it.
JD.COM MIND: CAN HRCT REALLY TRADE AT $10 A SHARE NEARTERM?
JD.COM Yes it can, and this is what has me so excited. Let`s take a look at China.com.
China.com WILL NOT see a profit until 2002-2003, opposite the HRCT portfolio strategy.
Market Cap as I type for China.com is 1.1 BILLION DOLLARS. Also, fiscal year ended 1998,
China.com only had 3.5 Million in Revenue. FINNET.COM will HAVE MORE THAN THAT IN
REVENUE AND SHOW A PROFIT. HRCT owns 58% the Financial bank, over 35% of UAC.
If HRCT trades at HALF the price of China.com (A 500 Million market cap) HRCT can trade
at $10 (20 Mil shares * 10 share price = 200 million cap, 40% of FINNET.COM.
REMEMBER, THAT IS HALF CHINA.COM RIGHT NOW, A PORTAL THAT HAS LESS
REVENUE THAN FINNET.COM AND IS NOT PROFITABLE. ALSO, THIS DOES NOT
TAKE IN CONSIDERATION ANY REVENUE/PROFITS FROM ISP DEAL.
JD.COM MIND: IF THIS STOCK IS SO UNDERVALUED, WHERE TO YOU SEE IT GOING
BY 3RD QUARTER 2000?
JD.COM: Depending on how the more "volitale" ISP deal shakes out, (Still don`t know about
JV`s, mergers, etc) without it HRCT trades at $12 bucks a share. With it, HRCT is going to
$18-$20 a share. Either way, for those who are still holding at .50 and below, I commend you.
You are going to see huge gains. Anyone buying in at this price has the potential to see
1000%-%2000 if everything shakes out - and so (P)far, PHAN has delievered on much and
more than I have expected at this point.
Now stop thinking JD, and just watch this stock appreciate nicely over time......

Der Internet-Sektor in China wächst gewaltig! Riesen Potential!
At present, China has over four million Internet users, but that number is expected to grow by
nearly 600%...
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1999--
Rapid Economic Growth Combined With Government Subsidies has Enabled Households to
Spend More of Their Income
On "Western Style" Shopping
Source: MyWeb Inc.com (OTCBB:MYWB). Chinese economy has grown by more than 7% on
average per year already for 18 straight years. Families, especially in the larger cities, have
experienced an unprecedented change in their disposable income as well as in their
lifestyles. According to recent statistics, Chinese households spend an enviably small
proportion of their income on rent and utilities. Most rural families own their homes, and most
urban apartments are small and subsidized. As a result, only 9.1% of household income is
needed to cover all of the home-related expenses. And even medical expenses represent
only 3.3% of household income. In other words: a significant portion of income is now being
used on items like clothing, entertainment, travel or high-technology products.
"Even though China can not yet be considered rich by any means, this continuous growth has
enabled the urban population to start shopping `western style.` In China, 96% of urban
households have a color TV, 64% have pagers, 59% portable stereos and -- amazingly -- as
many as 28% have cell phones," says T.S. Wong, president and CEO of MyWeb Inc.com.
Internet usage is growing rapidly as well. to 27 million in the next four years. This is all great
news to companies such as MyWeb, which enables Chinese to get online inexpensively,
while at the same time providing a wide variety of information, entertainment and shopping
related services on the Internet.

Hartcourt UAC JV Obtained Official Government Licenses
Business Wire - October 30, 1999 14:44
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 1999--The Hartcourt Companies, Inc. (OTC:HRCT)
today announced that the Joint Venture formed with UAC Online Stock Trading Inc. of China has
been approved by the government.
An official Business License and Certificate of Foreign Investment were issued to the JV. It is a
significant development in affirming the legality of the JV company, especially in view of recent
confusion on foreign investment; and reflecting the desire of the government for a speedy
implementation of the project. UAC operates the first and the only nationwide online trading network
in China, connecting investors with their stock brokerage offices.
UAC system has been in operation at two offices of China Securities in Beijing and 12 additional
offices should be wired up during the next few weeks. China Securities, the second-largest
brokerage firm in China, has signed an agreement to install the UAC system in all of its 98 offices
nationwide. As the first and only CHINAPAC operating agent designated by China Telecom, UAC is
in a unique position to market the services to all brokerage firms in China. At present, there are
4,000 brokerage offices in China serving 40 million investors. UAC`s mission is to quickly capture
as much market share as possible. Total revenues, excluding the TV set-top box users segment,
are projected to exceed $40 million by 2004.
UAC is also working with Financial Telecoms Ltd (FTL) of Hongkong to create the most
comprehensive financial portal in Chinese language for the Internet users of China and Hongkong.
The merged entity, with the participation of additional well-known American and Chinese strategic
partners, will proceed with an IPO planned for the 2nd quarter of 2000.
Dr. Alan Phan, Chairman and CEO of Hartcourt, stated, "We were surprised to receive the
licenses this early. Our Chinese partners have delivered more than expected. It is a good omen for
the future. With its technology and infrastructure, UAC has positioned itself to become the first and
major E-trade in China. With the planned IPO and the national ISP project coming on schedule,
Hartcourt`s effort is being rewarded finally. We are proud of these unique achievements."
Mr. Shi Zhang, Chairman and President of UAC, said, "Even though the profit potential of the Joint
Venture is tremendous, it is just a first step of our cooperation. Next on line is the best Chinese
financial portal with the same standards and features like Bloomberg or MarketWatch. We are
creating something unique and spectacular for the Chinese Internet users. Our market position
and our leading-edge technology will ensure our long-term success."

ok?
ok?

Werde mind. 1 Jahr long bleiben und mir dann ein nettes neues Auto zulegen!
