Hamburg, March 14, 2001 - At yesterday's meeting, the Supervisory Board of PROCON MultiMedia AG approved the final annual financial statements of PROCON MultiMedia AG. PROCON looks back on a very successful year 2000. In the past financial year, PROCON's sales increased by 77% from DM 70.5 million in 1999 to DM 124.9 million. Organic growth amounted to DM 36.9 million or 52%.

In the period under review, PROCON achieved disproportionately high profit growth rates. Group EBITDA grew by 145% from DM 14.2 million in the previous year to DM 34.9 million in the financial year 2000 which saw the PROCON Group improve its EBITDA margin to 27.9% of sales compared with 20.2% in the previous year. At DM 1.56 (EUR 0.80), DVFA/SG earnings per share are up 333% on last year's DM 0.36 (EUR 0.18). Adjusted for goodwill amortisation, earnings per share amounted to DM 1.91 (EUR 0.98), after DM 0.55 (EUR 0.28) in 1999.

In the past years, PROCON invested its profits primarily in the company's continued growth. In view of the new tax regulations applicable to companies and shareholders with effect from January 1, 2001, PROCON will for the first time propose payment of a dividend for the financial year 2000 at its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Through this dividend payout, PROCON AG makes use of its last opportunity to release tax credits accrued in past years.

At the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on July 4, 2001 in Hamburg, PROCON will propose payment of a dividend of DM 0.55 (EUR 0.28) per share for the financial year 2000.

In the coming years, PROCON will continue to push ahead its growth strategy and largely invest its profits in the Group's expansion.

At the annual accounts press conference on April 5 in Hamburg, the Executive Board will present further details about the financial year 2000 as well as the Group's strategic orientation.
