theglobe.com Launches Auction Web Site Dedicated to Games; GameSwapZone.com Features Buying and Selling of New or Used Games
The media division of theglobe.com (OTCBB:TGLO), which publishes Computer Games Magazine and Now Playing Magazine, today announced the launch of its new auction-based Web site GameSwapZone.com.
The site is one of the first of its kind offering gaming enthusiasts anywhere in the world an opportunity to buy and sell games for Xbox, PSP, Game Cube, N-Gage, and Game Boy among many others in an online auction format.
"GameSwapZone.com connects gamers from all over the world to buy and sell the games they love," said Jayson Dubin, vice president and publisher of Computer Games Magazine and Now Playing Magazine. "This site was designed by gamers for gamers, enabling enthusiasts to interact globally and find even the most obscure titles."
The Web site offers free listing of products for a basic submission. There are nominal fees associated with larger products and more complex postings. Currently the site hosts 4,500 listings and continues to grow at a steady pace. Mr. Dubin also stated: "We at theglobe.com are very excited about this new site, and we believe that we are uniquely positioned to penetrate the auction market, via our brand. Our core readership at Computer Games Magazine and Now Playing Magazine, and their website counterparts, assures an instant flow of traffic to GameSwapZone.com, which can only mean more titles and better deals will be available for our patrons."
GameSwapZone.com provides the latest features in online auctioning as well as new technology to provide gamers all the tools they need to buy and sell their favorite games. Some of the site features include:
-- Stores where users can set up there own virtual storefront with personalized logo
-- Buy Now option allowing sellers to set a buying price
-- Fresh page layouts with new, cutting-edge design
-- Summary boxes for game reviews
-- Wanted Ads allowing people to post a request looking a specific item
-- Rating system enabling users to give feedback about other buyers and sellers to cut down on fraud
-- Bulk uploading to provide users the ability to upload multiple items at one time
To continue to build a global gaming community online, GameSwapZone.com will be available in German, Japanese, Korean and French versions within the next six months.

ja 0,32
