Coherent, Inc. Subsidiary Lambda Physik AG Receives Largest Order In The Company`s History From Silicon Valley Group, Inc. (SVG)
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Coherent, Inc. (Nasdaq: COHR - news) announced that its majority own subsidiary Lambda Physik received major follow-on orders for its NovaLine® A4020 and NovaLine K2020 lasers from Silicon Valley Group amounting to US $16.9 million to be shipped over the next nine months.
The NovaLine A4020 is an Argon-Fluoride, 193-nm laser operating at a 4 kHz repetition rate with an output power of 40 watts. The laser provides a partially narrowed beam specifically designed for SVG`s Micrascan V high NA, high throughput scanner. The high repetition rate of 4 kHz, together with superior energy dose stability, enables customers to take full advantage of scanner improvements and maximize wafer throughput and yield.
The NovaLine K2020 is an Krypton-Fluoride, 248nm excimer laser optimized for the catadioptric imaging systems used in SVGL`s advanced 248nm high throughput scanners (Micrascan IV). The laser operates with a repetition rate of 2 kHz. Through superior module lifetimes of the K2020, Lambda Physik provides end-users with the lowest cost of ownership operation (CoOp) in the industry.
