Applied Digital Solutions Unveils Digital Angel Technology in New York City
Company Demonstrates First-ever Operational Combination of Advanced Sensor Technology
and Web-enabled Wireless Telecommunications Linked to GPS Location-tracking Systems
      NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2000-- U.S. Secretary of Commerce Norman Y.
      Mineta is Among Participants

Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSX - news), a leading, single-source provider of
e-business solutions, today unveiled its unique new microchip technology -- called Digital
Angel(TM) -- before an overflow gathering of more than 300 invited guests at one of New York
City`s premiere event venues, Cipriani 42nd Street.

The audience, which included government officials, members of the national and international
media, potential joint-venture/licensing partners and selected Wall Street analysts, witnessed
an historical first: the first-ever operational combination of advanced sensor technology and
Web-enabled wireless telecommunications linked to GPS location-tracking systems. U.S.
Secretary of Commerce Norman Mineta also addressed the gathering, stressing the
importance of greater ``digital inclusion`` by spreading the benefits of the Digital Revolution to all
      segments of society.

Applied Digital Solutions` Chairman & CEO, Richard J. Sullivan, kicked off the evening with brief
welcoming remarks. He spoke about the tremendous marketplace potential of Digital Angel:
``We`ve been working with a well-respected management consulting firm to study the
marketplace in detail and to target the most promising segments and applications. In our
careful analysis of 26 potential vertical markets for Digital Angel, we have uncovered a total
marketplace that is conservatively estimated to exceed $70 billion.``

Randy Geissler, Chairman and CEO of Digital Angel.net Inc., Applied Digital Solutions` wholly
owned subsidiary, also mentioned the wide range of potential applications for Digital Angel.
``Our analysis shows that we are well-positioned to move quickly into certain applications while
developing a number of others. Two areas of particular interest are in the healthcare arena -
monitoring heart disease and respiratory disease patients. Also, the tracking and monitoring of
pets, is of course, right up our alley.``

Before assuming his current position in September 2000, Geissler served as Chief Executive
Officer of Destron Fearing Corporation. In September 2000, Digital Angel.net merged with
Destron Fearing, which has been in the animal identification business since 1945. For over 50
years, Destron Fearing has developed, manufactured and marketed a broad range of individual
      animal identification products.

Demonstrating the Digital Angel Delivery System

The live demonstration of the ``Digital Angel Delivery System`` was led by Dr. Peter Zhou, Chief
Scientist at Digital Angel.net, Inc., and Dr. Keith Bolton, Vice President and Chief Technology
Officer at Applied Digital Solutions. The demonstration of Digital Angel`s technological building
blocks showed how Digital Angel can be used to monitor a person`s key body functions -- such
as temperature and pulse -- and transmit that data wirelessly, on a real time basis, along with
the accurate location of the person, to a web-enabled ground station or monitoring facility.

The demonstration also showed Digital Angel`s comprehensive data-gathering, storage,
distribution and network management capabilities, which combine to provide customers with
real-time access to the critical data gathered by Digital Angel. The customer access portion of
the demonstration featured Applied Digital`s innovative Net-VU product. Net-VU is an
Internet-based Automatic Contact Distributor (ACD) that has been winning high praise from
customers as an invaluable tool for e-commerce-related Customer Relationship Management
(CRM). Net-Vu provides a real-time human touch to all Internet-based customer interactions.
This can be particularly important in the context of the Digital Angel system in which immediate
access to critical information is essential.

      Background on Digital Angel(TM)

In December of 1999, Applied Digital Solutions announced that it had acquired the patent rights
to a miniature digital transceiver -- which it has named Digital Angel. Digital Angel will be able to
send and receive data and be located by GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. The
company believes this technology will enable it to tap into a multi-billion dollar marketplace with
a number of applications that will prove to be extremely popular. These potential applications
include: monitoring the medical condition of at-risk patients; tracking endangered wildlife or
household pets; managing livestock and other farm-related animals; pinpointing the location of
valuable stolen property; finding lost airline baggage and postal packages; managing the
commodity supply chain; preventing the unauthorized use of firearms; and providing a
tamper-proof means of identification for enhanced e-commerce security. For more information

There now exists the technology that can put an end to human abduction. Applied Digital Solutions (ADSX: Nasdaq), a profitable $370 million dollar per year high tech business-to-business e-commerce company, announced in a company Press Release issued on Monday, July 31, 2000, that they have developed and patented a GPS transceiver called Digital Angel(TM) the size of a grain of rice that can be implanted either subcutaneously (under the skin), intra-muscular (in muscle tissue) or closely bonded to the body that can keep track of where that person is in real-time, 24 hrs. a day - 365 days per year. This revolutionary tiny microchip can include biosensors that can measure biological parameters of the body such as heart rate and temperature. This miniscule GPS transceiver would use the body`s own heat and electro-mechanical movement to power itself so its maintenance free. Digital Angel(TM) signals can be connected to the internet through either cell phone or wireless internet connections and interfaces with the Global Positioning System (GPS) to relay location data.

We believe that this announcement by Applied Digital Solutions will herald in an new era where wireless location of human beings will take the upper hand to end human and child abduction in much the same way as "Call Display" ended prank phone calls. Only in this case we are talking about a technology that for the first time in history will give people the ability to end or at least seriously curtail the abduction of human life. The applications of this technology to track human beings, pets, vehicles, military personnel, etc. etc are limited only by one`s imagination. Below is the company Press Release:

"Digital Angel Breakthrough Technology Goes Live"
      PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 2000--

Applied Digital Solutions will unveil an operational prototype of its revolutionary Digital Angel(TM) technology. Chairman sees multi-billion dollar market potential via licensing and services integrated with Web-enabled wireless devices.

The prototype, to be unveiled at an invitation-only, New York City event this October represents a major communications technology breakthrough -- the first-ever operational combination of bio-sensor technology and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications linked to GPS location-tracking systems.

Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSX - news) today announced that it will host a special, invitation-only event in New York City this coming October to demonstrate an operational prototype of its revolutionary "Digital Angel``(TM) technology.

As previously announced, the prototype of the device was to be ready by the end of this year. But Applied Digital`s Chairman and CEO, Richard J. Sullivan, said today that the development of the technology had progressed well ahead of schedule.

In his comments announcing the October event, Richard Sullivan stated: "We`re extremely heartened by the remarkable progress made by Dr. Peter Zhou and his entire research team, including professors and their associates at Princeton University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. This technology relates directly to the exploding wireless marketplace. We`ll be demonstrating for the first time ever that wireless telecommunications systems and bio-sensor devices - capable of measuring and transmitting critical body function data - can be successfully linked together with GPS technology and integrated with the Internet.

"This is a gigantic leap forward, one that also links directly to our Computer Telephony Internet Integration (CTII)(TM) strategic focus. At its heart, Digital Angel involves integrating the very same communications technologies into a working system. We`ll soon be ready to move ahead to the production-design phase of Digital Angel geared to specific marketplace applications. The key message right now is this: Digital Angel isn`t a blue-sky technology. This is real. Digital Angel breakthrough technology is here. It`s live!``

While estimates of Digital Angel`s marketplace potential vary, there is little doubt that the technology will enable Applied Digital and its partners to tap into a multi-billion dollar market via various licensing arrangements, Web-enabled wireless services and data transactions handled by Applied Digital`s ASP (Application Service Provider) center.

Those attending the event in New York City will see a working, multimedia demonstration of Digital Angel`s technological building blocks. A miniature sensor device -- smaller than a grain of rice and equipped with a tiny antenna -- will capture and wirelessly transmit a person`s vital body-function data, such as body temperature or pulse, to an Internet-integrated ground station. In addition, the antenna will also receive information regarding the location of the individual from the GPS satellite. Both sets of data -- medical information and location -- will then be wirelessly transmitted to the ground station and made available on Web-enabled desktop, laptop or wireless devices. This demonstration represents the first time these technologies have been united into one functioning system.

The New York City event - at a time, date and location to be announced later -- will feature live presentations from top Applied Digital executives, including Richard Sullivan, Chairman and CEO; Dr. Keith Bolton, Chief Technology Officer; and Dr. Peter Zhou, President and Chief Scientist at Digital Angel.net Inc., Applied Digital`s wholly owned subsidiary that has been spearheading the drive to develop Digital Angel. Those attending the event will be a handpicked group of potential joint venture partners, as well as senior-level players in the e-commerce, wireless and Internet industries. Key stock analysts and media representatives will also be invited. Attendees will learn about the history of Digital Angel and its technological underpinnings, along with its many potential applications in the marketplace.

Digital Angel`s Dr. Peter Zhou commented: "I`m particularly excited about Digital Angel`s ability to save lives by remotely monitoring the medical conditions of at-risk patients and providing emergency rescue units with the person`s exact location. I also see great potential for Digital Angel in the area of `location-aware` e-commerce. This is a whole new wireless and Web-enabled frontier in which a purchaser`s actual location is integral to making a successful sale or providing a valuable, location-critical service.``

      Background on Digital Angel(TM)

In December of 1999, Applied Digital Solutions announced that it had acquired the patent rights to a miniature digital transceiver -- which it has named Digital Angel. In some of its applications, the tiny device is expected to be bonded closely to the body or implanted just under the skin. The Company believes Digital Angel will be able to send and receive data and be located by GPS (Global Positioning System) technology. In addition to monitoring the location and medical condition of at-risk patients, the Company believes Digital Angel could have other applications that will prove to be extremely popular in the marketplace. These applications include locating lost or missing individuals or household pets; tracking endangered wildlife; managing livestock and other farm-related animals; pinpointing the location of valuable stolen property; finding lost airline baggage and postal packages; managing the commodity supply chain; preventing the unauthorized use of firearms; and providing a tamper-proof means of identification for enhanced e-commerce security. FUTURE FOR DIGITAL ANGEL(TM):
We believe that the implantation of human beings, pets, valuable artifacts, etc. with a micro-chip to keep track of their whereabouts is the future. Like something straight out of a Star Trek movie, Digital Angel(TM) is a revolutionary technological breakthrough with a market potential worth billions of dollars world-wide with the potential to eliminate human abduction. Although reluctance exists on the part of some to be implanted with this technology, or implant their children, we believe that this technology will become as common as using a phone in the years to come. There were those that were sceptical of the advent of ATM machines 20 years or so ago, chosing to distrust the "system" and alleging that your paycheck could be gobbled up by the machine and never register in your account. Time proved them dead wrong. Technology that adds VALUE to life will always have a place in the market. Digital Angel(TM) promises just that.

      ADSX STOCK VALUATION:

ADSX shares are currently trading at a huge discount to the rest of the sector and industry:

      PRICE TO SALES
ADSX`s price-to-sales ratio is 0.48 as compared to the industry average of 10.82. That means that for ADSX`s shares to be inline with the rest of the industry`s price-to-sales ratios they would have to be trading 22 times higher or $77.66/share.
      PRICE TO CASH FLOW
Another clue that ADSX`s shares are trading at highly discounted levels is the comparison of ADSX`s price-to-cash-flow ratio. Whereas the industry average is 107.50, ADSX`s price-to-cash-flow ratio is only 11. That means that for ADSX`s shares to be inline with the rest of the industry`s price-to-cash-flow ratios they would have to be trading about 10 times higher or $35.30/share.

      PRICE TO BOOK VALUE
ADSX`s price-to-book-value is 1.83 compared to the industry average of 10.02. For ADSX`s shares to be trading at comparable levels to the rest of the industry when comparing price -to-book-value ratios, they would have to be trading at $19.32/share.

      P/E COMPARISION
ADSX has a P/E ratio of 27 compared to the industry P/E of 56. ADSX`s shares would have to be trading at $7.32 to equal the industry average based on a comparison of P/E ratios.

      CONCLUSION:

The above comparisons don`t even account for the revenue stemming from Digital Angel(TM), which according to CEO Richard Sullivan is a market worth $100 billion dollars. When news of Digital Angel hits WallStreet (and it hasn`t yet!) and ADSX is "discovered" by the street, we believe that ADSX shares will skyrocket. Applied Digital Solutions will demonstrate to the market its Digital Angel(TM) at work in an invitation-only meeting this October 2000. Expect analysts and media coverage of this monumental event demonstrating how Digital Angel(TM) works.

In conclusion we are issuing a STRONG BUY recommendation on ADSX shares with a price target of $35.00 per share within the next 12-16 months. As this wireless location market matures in the years ahead, we see ADSX shares trading in the $100 range. They are the only game in town able to be able to track human beings, and with their patented and proprietary technology, will most likely stay that way.

      COMING TOMORROW
      Digital Angel unveiled
      Human-tracking subdermal
      implant technology makes debut

      © 2000 WorldNetDaily.com

A NASDAQ-traded company has finally unveiled
its long-touted and highly controversial "Digital
Angel" -- a subdermal microchip implant designed
not merely for keeping tabs on pets, but for
widespread, worldwide use in tracking human
      beings.

The high-tech device, engineered by Applied
Digital Solutions, Inc. had its debut Monday before
an overflow crowd of more than 300 invited guests
at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

The audience included U.S. Secretary of Commerce
Norman Mineta, who addressed the crowd, as well
      as other government officials, potential
      joint-venture/licensing partners and press
      representatives.

Richard J. Sullivan, Applied Digital Solutions`
chairman and CEO, waxed eloquent about the
market potential of Digital Angel, claiming the
company has "uncovered a total marketplace that
is conservatively estimated to exceed $70 billion."

Randy Geissler, chairman and CEO of Digital
Angel.net Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary, zeroed
      in on potential applications.

"Our analysis shows that we are well-positioned to
move quickly into certain applications while
developing a number of others. Two areas of
particular interest are in the healthcare arena," he
said, "monitoring heart disease and respiratory
disease patients." The tracking and monitoring of
pets, he added, is also "right up our alley."

The demonstration, which was conducted by Dr.
Peter Zhou and Dr. Keith Bolton, showed how
Digital Angel "can be used to monitor a person`s
key body functions -- such as temperature and
pulse -- and transmit that data wirelessly, on a real
time basis, along with the accurate location of the
person, to a web-enabled ground station or
monitoring facility," according to a press statement.

The technology consists of a miniature sensor
device, designed to be implanted just under the
skin, that captures and wirelessly transmits the
"wearer`s" vital body-function data, such as body
temperature or pulse, to an Internet-integrated
ground station. In addition, the antenna receives
information regarding the location of the individual
from the GPS satellite. Both sets of data -- medical
information and location -- are then wirelessly
transmitted to the ground station and made
available on Web-enabled desktop, laptop or
      wireless devices.

A more sophisticated version of microchip
technologies currently used as electronic ID tags for
pets, Digital Angel is powered electromechanically
through muscle movement, or it can be activated by
      an outside monitoring facility.

As WorldNetDaily has reported, in addition to
      locating missing persons and monitoring
physiological data, Digital Angel will be marketed
as a means of verifying online consumer identity for
      the burgeoning e-commerce world.

In August, Sullivan told WND, "We are currently
talking to a watch maker who is interested in
placing the device on the back of their watches." He
added that "technology is being developed that
would allow Digital Angel to function from the
back of a cellular phone, transmitting bio-sensor
information when carried by the user."

And in an interview last March, the chief scientist,
Zhou, told WorldNetDaily he believes the implant
will be as popular as cell phones and vaccines.

Digital Angel "will be a connection from yourself to
the electronic world. It will be your guardian,
protector. It will bring good things to you," said
      Zhou.

"We will be a hybrid of electronic intelligence and
      our own soul," he added.

If you`d like to sound off on this issue, please take
      part in the WorldNetDaily poll.

Applied Digital Solutions to Acquire 80% Stake in E-commerce Infrastructure Venture With Connect Intelligence and Cisco Systems, Linked Into Global Crossing`s Fiber Optic Network
PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2000-- Working with Connect Intelligence, Applied Digital will have a 25-year exclusive right to use up to 70 high-speed, fiber optic circuits,

which link Dublin with the US and connect Dublin with Europe

Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSX), a leading, single-source provider of e-business solutions, today announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire an 80% stake in an e-commerce venture sponsored by Connect Intelligence, a pan-European provider of e-infrastructure, Internet connectivity and enhanced Internet services.

Based in Ireland, Connect Intelligence has successfully completed a vetting procedure and has now been formally offered up to 70 high-speed fiber optic circuits from the Irish government`s Department of Enterprise and Employment. The offering, part of the Irish government`s e-commerce infrastructure initiative, grants Connect Intelligence and its partners exclusive rights to nearly one half of all circuits to and from the Republic of Ireland. These Connect Intelligence circuits are part of the "Irish Loop" that connects into Global Crossing`s (Nasdaq: GLBX) Pan-European and Transatlantic fiber optic network. Connect Intelligence will have a 25-year Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) on these circuits, 16 of which link Dublin and the United States, while 34 connect Dublin and Europe. Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) has agreed to participate in the Applied Digital-Connect Intelligence project by providing end-to-end project management of all network development.

In a prepared statement, Richard J. Sullivan, Chairman and CEO of Applied Digital Solutions, stated: "This is a remarkable opportunity for Applied Digital, one that we believe will build long-term shareholder value through profitable growth. This arrangement with Connect Intelligence will enable Applied Digital to build on our existing operations in the United Kingdom and expand our complement of e-business solutions under our ongoing strategy of enabling e-business through CTII(TM) (Computer Telephony Internet Integration). The European e-commerce market is booming right now. According to a recent Lehman Brothers report (`Nothing But Net`), e-commerce spending in Europe is expected to increase from about $50 billion this year to roughly $430 billion in 2003. That`s a 140% annual growth rate, which would mean that Europe could soon account for one third of the global e-commerce market. This unique arrangement enables us to link up with proven networking and Internet infrastructure leaders like Cisco Systems and Global Crossing. As a result, we`ll be able to expand our ability to serve the connectivity and enhanced e-commerce needs of our US-based customers while reaching out to potential new customers in Europe."

By entering into this venture with Connect Intelligence, Applied Digital is acknowledging the growing importance of providing customers with a reliable IT infrastructure as part of its effort to be a single-source provider of e-business solutions. According to Valerie Williamson, Vice President/General Manager of NetWorld+InterOp, having a reliable IT infrastructure is key to a company`s e-business strategy. "Successful e-business," Williamson writes, "depends on reliable IT infrastructure. As e-business takes center stage, companies have to evolve their e-infrastructure and build strategic relationships with external partners to meet these new business initiatives. To survive, many companies are developing network strategies that integrate outsourced services as well as internal networks."

Connect Intelligence, a company founded by 20-year IT industry veteran Max Turpie, believes that large national and Pan-European enterprises in the financial services, media and e-commerce sectors increasingly depend on the Internet to conduct business, but they are constrained by the current unreliability, lack of security, slow performance and limited functions of the Internet. Through its arrangement with the Irish Government, Connect Intelligence has the opportunity to own and operate a fully serviced and supported private network throughout Europe, linked to the US with substantial total capacity of 10.8 Gigabits for use in its managed data traffic services.

This new venture allows Applied Digital and its customers to benefit from direct access to these advanced managed data services. Connect Intelligence plans to use its private, high capacity, Pan-European fiber optic based server network to provide its customers with a comprehensive suite of solutions that integrate content delivery, hosting, intelligent networking and application services. The primary services to be provided are:

      --Connectivity Services: The Company will offer connectivity designed to deliver high availability and performance required by high-volume Internet operations;

      --Web Hosting: The Company will offer a comprehensive suite of solutions to meet its customers current and future Web hosting needs; --Application Hosting: Combining hosting capability with connectivity to provide businesses with "always on" capability for high content delivery and transaction sites;

The Applied Digital-Connect Intelligence venture plans to outsource the complete rollout of the network to Cisco Systems. Because the Applied Digital-Connect Intelligence venture will deploy a Cisco end-to-end network, the entire operation will have Cisco Powered Network (CPN) status. Having CPN status entitles the venture to differentiate its service offerings in association with Cisco`s leadership position in the Internet networking industry. More Background on European E-Commerce Growth

The Lehman Brothers report cited by Richard Sullivan also states that over the next four years there will be more than 100 million new European Internet users. That increase in Web usage will bring Europe into rough parity with the United States. In addition, a recent report by TeleGeography, Inc., a telecommunications industry research firm based in Washington, D.C., points out that until recently all of the Internet traffic exchanged between networks has been routed through the U.S., even when the traffic didn`t originate from or stop at a U.S.-based destination. But that situation is changing. According to TeleGeography, there is now more bandwidth linking European cities to each other than there is between those cities and the United States. Also, of the Top Ten international routes, seven originate and terminate in Europe, while only three have connections to the U.S. Finally, TeleGeography reports that London has now overtaken New York as the largest international Internet hub. About Applied Digital`s CTII(TM) Initiative

Applied Digital Solutions has successfully focused its strategic direction and organized the company into four core business groups: Internet, Telephony, Network and Applications. As part of this successful transformation, the company has positioned itself as a leading-edge provider of Computer Telephony Internet Integration (CTII) services. This CTII focus differentiates Applied Digital Solutions in the e-business solutions marketplace. With CTII, Applied Digital provides the full range of services and skills that companies need to conduct business online. Through its four integrated business groups, Applied Digital designs and deploys complete, front-to-back, web-enabled e-business systems -- all with a single point of contact for the customer. About Applied Digital Solutions, Inc.

      Hallo,

Also in

      Gruß an alle, Spectrum!

Applied Digital Solutions Is America`s Fifth Fastest-Growing
      Technology Company

Top 1% Ranking is Part of Annual Deloitte & Touche "Fast 500" Program That Measures
Revenue Growth Over Last Five Years

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA Nov 19, 1999 - Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSX) has been
named the fifth fastest-growing technology company in the U.S. in Deloitte & Touche’s prestigious "Fast
500" Program. The annual program is a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing domestic technology
companies based on five-year percentage revenue growth from 1994 to 1998. The company improved on
its ninth-place showing in last year’s program.

"We’re very pleased to be ranked in the top 1% of the 500 fastest-growing, U.S.-based technology
companies," said Richard J. Sullivan, chairman and CEO of Applied Digital Solutions. "Our improved
ranking confirms just how dedicated our entire organization is to becoming a leading technology
competitor and a single-source provider of integrated digital communications services to our customers,"
      said Mr. Sullivan.

The average revenue increase for all "Fast 500" companies was 4,998%. In comparison, ADS’s
revenues soared 64,012% during this period. Mr. Sullivan attributed ADS’s outstanding revenue growth
to the company’s success in anticipating the industry’s rapid shift from analog to digital technologies.
"We positioned ourselves very well to take advantage of the digital and e-commerce revolutions.
Because we got out ahead of the technology curve, we’ve been riding a very fast growth curve," he said.

"To attain a listing on the ‘Fast 500’ is no easy feat," said Mark Evans, Managing Director, Deloitte &
Touche High Technology Industry Group. He further stated that "There are more than 22,000 technology
companies in the United States today, many of whom are competing for the same markets. The ‘Fast
500’ winners have proven that they can compete successfully by consistently delivering technological
wonders. We at Deloitte & Touche commend Applied Digital Solutions for having the vision and
determination to become one of the fastest growing technology companies in the U.S."

To qualify for the "Fast 500," companies must have had revenues of at least $50,000 in 1994; must be
headquartered in the United States; and must be "technology companies" defined as a company that
produces technology, manufactures a technology product, is technologically intensive, uses technology
in problem-solving, or devotes a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.

"Fast 500" winners are invited to an exclusive two-day CEO Summit that will be held May 11 to 13,

Applied Digital Solutions Acquires Rights To World`s First Digital
Device -- Implantable In Humans -- With Applications In E-Business
To Business Security, Health Care And Criminal Justice.

Inserted just under the skin, with maintenance-free regenerating power supply, miniature
"Digital Angel™" has multi-billion dollar market potential

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA Dec 15, 1999 - Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSX) today
announced that it has acquired the patent rights to a miniature digital transceiver - which it has named
"Digital Angel™" -- that can be used for a variety of purposes, such as providing a tamper-proof means
of identification for enhanced e-business security, locating lost or missing individuals, tracking the
location of valuable property and monitoring the medical conditions of at-risk patients. In the agreement
signed last week, ADS acquired the right to develop this unique product itself for all of its applications or
to sublicense the development of specific applications to other entities. A special technology group has
been formed within ADS to supervise the development of the device.

The implantable transceiver sends and receives data and can be continuously tracked by GPS (Global
Positioning Satellite) technology. The transceiver`s power supply and actuation system are unlike
anything ever created. When implanted within a body, the device is powered electromechanically
through the movement of muscles, and it can be activated either by the "wearer" or by the monitoring
facility. A novel sensation feedback feature will even allow the wearer to control the device to some
degree. The "smart" device is also small enough to be hidden inconspicuously on or within valuable
personal belongings and priceless works of art.

Commenting on Digital Angel`s™ many potential applications, Richard J. Sullivan, Chairman and CEO of
Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (ADS), said: "We believe its potential for improving individual and
e-business security and enhancing the quality of life for millions of people is virtually limitless. Although
we`re in the early developmental phase, we expect to come forward with applications in many different
areas, from medical monitoring to law enforcement. However, in keeping with our core strengths in the
e-business to business arena, we plan to focus our initial development efforts on the growing field of
e-commerce security and user ID verification."

Sullivan added that the multi-purpose technology would enable ADS to tap into a vast global market,
through licensing and other commercial arrangements. We believe the Digital Angel technology, in all of
its applications, has a multi-billion market potential. "The e-business to business security market alone
could reach as high as $10 to $12 billion in the near future," Sullivan added.

ADS is actively seeking joint venture partners to help develop and market the unique technology. The
company expects to create a working prototype by the end of next year. ......

      Prost,

      Also abwarten und Teechen trinken.

      viel bessere Meinung bilden.

      Guten Morgen,
      komme gerade vom Nachtdienst.

APPLIED DIGITAL SOLUTIONS AGREES TO ACQUIRE INTEREST IN
      ATEC GROUP, INC.

Strategy to benefit ATEC Group`s distribution expertise and the procurement capabilities of
      Applied Digital Solutions` Intellesale.com unit

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA Nov 03, 2000 - Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSX) today
announced that it has agreed to acquire an interest in ATEC Group (Amex: TEC) from Surinder
Rametra, a former officer and director of ATEC. This action follows a proposed acquisition of ATEC by
Applied Digital earlier this year designed to capitalize on the obvious and abundant synergies with its
      Intellesale.com unit.

"ATEC never really fell off our radar screen," commented Richard J. Sullivan, chairman and CEO of
Applied Digital. "At the time, the market was in the midst of the now infamous `March Effect`; it just was
not an appropriate time for action. We continued to recognize, though, the ability to strengthen both
ATEC and Intellesale.com by leveraging off the particular strengths of each. ATEC`s excellent
distribution channels, including their recently announced strategic partnership with Computer
Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA), combined with Intellesale`s ability to locate and procure
product effectively make this a natural relationship. The management teams of each also provide very
complementary styles, offering strong leadership and operational expertise. In the future, we see this
growing into an even more strategic relationship with significant potential benefits for all of our
      shareholders."

In conjunction with this action, a new Board of Directors will be assembled to include Richard Sullivan,
James J. Charles, CFO of ATEC, Tony Rametra, President of ATEC, and two new outside . Tony
Rametra will also be named CEO of ATEC Group. About Intellesale.com Intellesale sells refurbished
and new computer equipment and related components through its website at www.intellesale.com as
well as through traditional channels which Intellesale is migrating to the Internet. Applied Digital
Solutions previously announced its intent to offer Intellesale.com to the public through an IPO as part of
a strategic restructuring program designed to divest those units that did not fit with its focus as one-stop
e-solutions provider. About ATEC Group, Inc. Based in Commack, New York, ATEC Group, Inc., is a
leading system integrator and provider of a full line of information technology products and services. As
a one-stop company for the computer needs of businesses, government agencies and educational

      Dear Mr. Jackson!

First of all, sorry for my English, but I am from the heart of Europe,
      from Austria.
I am very disappointed, that nothing detailed about the unveiling is
      being presented.
No details about attendees, no short video of the unveiling on
      www.digitalangel.tv, etc.,
in fact as ADSX shareholder I request more information in that topic.

Further I found in the ragingbull board that message:

      NEWS from INDUSTRY STANDARD`S

WIRELESS YOU CAN WEAR: Two companies promoting wireless wear that
might save lives recently have emerged on the scene, using a
combination of current cellular and global positioning system, or GPS,

technology. Applied Digital Solutions is developing the Digital Angel,

a miniature digital transceiver that is implantable or wearable likea
watch and can monitor vital signs and place an emergency call if there

is a problem. Meanwhile, Sensatex http://sensatex.com/ has developed a
      Smart Shirt that is
also designed to monitor vital health functions and send wireless
signals for help if something`s awry. Sensatex bills its shirt as the
world`s first "wearable motherboard" and says the Smart Shirt is also
capable of tracking the wearer`s location. And you thought wireless
gear was bad for your health.

      *******************************************************************************

My question now, as I have analysed also sensatex a little bit:

they say they are able to bring out their first sensatex product in 1st
quarter 2001. Digital Angel, as we have been informed, should be
      available in approx. 1 year.
What do you think about that Competitor and the similiar or ident
application-areas, both products (Sensatex and DA) have.
In addition to another article, where you stated, that ADSX is in talk
      with a watch-maker:
Are you able to tell which one? Let me guess: SWATCH
Why: the reason for that, in the Swatch-group there is a company called
EM-Marin, as I guess, they might be able to produce some needed
components for the Digital Angel(check it out:
http://www.emmarin.ch/menuns.html ; especially under the icon PRODUCTS!)

Next Point: For which use is the following:

Working with Connect Intelligence, Applied Digital will have a 25-year
exclusive right to use up to 70 high-speed, fiber optic circuits, which
link Dublin with the US and connect Dublin with Europe?
Is that maybe linked also to the Digital Angel? Or for other purposes?
No further information received from your side.....

      Last Point:

I am looking forward in receiving your prompt answer per E-Mail and if
possible please put my questions and your answers also into the raging
bull board at your session on 3rd. November......Thanks in advance, Mr.
      Jackson.

      Still being convinced fof ADSX
