VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 20, 2002-- Imagis Technologies Inc. The ongoing joint demonstration is occurring as part of Microsoft´s IT Forum 2002 in Copenhagen, Denmark (November 19 to 22). Imagis was the only biometric face recognition vendor invited to the event by Microsoft®, and it is the only vendor that is offering a 64-bit version that is optimized for Microsoft technology.

"We are working closely with Microsoft and Intel to optimize the 64-bit version of ID-2000 so that it has unprecedented performance and function in the identification and security markets."
Continued Drummond, "With the 64-bit version of ID-2000 our customers can search on an almost unlimited number of images. This means that we are better positioned to equip large scale initiatives, including some of the national, state, and provincial passport and driver´s license programs.
The software being demonstrated at Microsoft´s IT Forum 2002 is beta-release software that will be commercialized in conjunction with the Microsoft. Windows .NET Server 2003. Microsoft announced on November 18, 2002 that the .NET Server will be available in April 2003.
