FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Apr 1, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- theglobe.com (TGLO) today announced its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2002 and its fourth quarter. For the full-year ended December 31, 2002, the Company reported a net loss of $(2.6) million or $(.09) per share, compared to a net loss of $(40.6) million or $(1.34) per share for the same period in 2001. Revenues for the year ended 2002 were $9.7 million, compared to $16.1 million in the preceding year. During the fourth quarter, theglobe.com achieved its first profitable quarter as a public company. The company earned $11,000 or $0.00 per share, compared to a loss of $(4.8) million or $(.15) per share during the same period in 2001 on revenue of $2.5 million compared to revenue of $3.4 million in the corresponding period in 2001. "We are very proud of achieving our first profitable quarter as a public company," said Ed Cespedes, president of theglobe.com. He added, "Our continued efforts at restructuring theglobe.com`s cost structure and operations paid off as we were able to achieve fourth quarter profitability, despite a generally weak publishing and e-commerce environment. Our existing businesses are seasonal and should perform better in the fourth quarter, so these results may not be indicative of results in the coming quarters or in the future. Additionally, we expect to incur start-up costs for the next several quarters related to the launch of Voiceglo."
theglobe.com also completed the previously announced $500,000 preferred stock investment by E&C Capital Partners, LLLP, an entity controlled by Michael S. Egan, our Chairman and CEO, and Edward A. Cespedes, our President. As previously disclosed, the preferred stock is convertible into 16.7 million shares of the Company`s common stock.
Concurrent with the completion of the preferred stock investment, Mr. Egan and Mr. Cespedes entered into a letter of intent to provide up to $1 million in additional financing through a senior, secured convertible note facility. If consummated, the financing will have a one-year term and carry a 10% per annum coupon, payable semi-annually, in cash or in kind. The notes issued as part of such financing would be convertible at the price of $0.10 per share. The investors are anticipated to also receive 20% warrant coverage to purchase common stock at a price of $.15 per share. The proposed convertible debt financing is subject to a number of conditions, including completion of a loan facility and related documentation satisfactory to the parties, as well as satisfactory resolution of certain Company liabilities and other tax and business considerations. In addition, it is contemplated that the loan facility will require that certain performance criteria be achieved by the company as a condition to all or part of the funding. If consummated, the convertible debt financing will result in substantial dilution of the number of securities of theglobe.com either issued and outstanding or obtainable upon conversion of the debt or exercise of the warrant. There can be no assurance, if and when, the convertible debt financing will be consummated.

diese aktie ist wieder auf dem niveau angekommen, wo sie vor einer woche zum (grundlosen) höhenflug ansetzte. wegen einer 8,7 millionen $ finazierung durch ein private placement! ist doch lächerlich, anleger in dieses papier zu puschen. heute fast kein umsatz mehr in ffm und gestern in amerika fallende kurse bei steigenden märkten! dazu das dünne volumina. liebe leute, schaut euch den chart genau an und ihr werdet sehen wo dieses papier wieder hingeht. dazu muss man kein prophet sein.

von welcher aktie redest/schreibst du denn nun. die tglo.ob meinst du wohl nicht, denn da ist nun garnichts zu erkennen. bei durchschnittlichen tagesumsätzen von ca. 100000 stücken ist wohl kaum eine aussage zu treffen.
und welche liquidität meinst du, wenn du die story noch nicht mal kennst? sag an, oder ist die luft schon raus?
