Plaut Consulting wins Q-Chem support contract
Invensys Middle East has again selected Plaut Consulting UK to provide SAP support services for the Qatar Chemical Company Ltd. (Q-Chem) petrochemical facility in the State of Qatar. Plaut Consulting UK won the three-year contract against strong international competition and will provide a range of SAP help desk and application support services as well as remotely manage the company`s SAP systems from the UK.
"Plaut Consulting has successfully managed Q-Chem`s SAP systems from the UK for the last twelve months, and we have been very satisfied with the effectiveness of its remote monitoring services and the expertise of the help desk team," says Keith Solly, Invensys Middle East. "We are confident that Plaut has the resources, skills and experience to provide a quality service for Q-Chem."
Q-Chem is a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company and has over 240 SAP users. Invensys Middle East is responsible for managing the SAP and Oracle environments for Q-Chem.

Plaut Consulting has announced the appointment of Don Cameron as managing director of the UK practice. Don takes on full commercial and financial responsibility for the firm and reports to the Plaut Consulting Group board.
“Plaut Consulting has one goal: to improve its clients’ businesses,” says Don. “I look forward to developing the skills and services that Plaut Consulting offers, so that we can continue to help our clients make measurable improvements to their business performance and profitability, through effective use of SAP solutions.”
“We are delighted to welcome Don to Plaut Consulting,” says Didier Moscatelli, executive board member, Plaut Consulting. “Don brings the strong combination of industry experience and proven management skills, and we are confident that he has the vision and focus to drive the company’s success.”
Don was formerly managing director of a division of Kingston SCL, a provider of billing systems for telecommunications companies. He also previously worked for Intergraph and ICL, where he held various director-level positions and developed broad industry knowledge. A keen sportsman, Don holds a degree in management and engineering from the University of Bradford.
