Mr. Murchison has over fifteen years experience in corporate finance, entertainment and advertising. He understands the intricacies of developing sales and sponsorship opportunities for products and projects. He has an ongoing association spanning many years with companies such as Prime Sports, ESPN, Far West Broadcasting, Spalding Sports Worldwide, ASIC Tiger Shoe Corporation, Rogue Sportswear, and Club Sportswear.

In 1989, as part of Silverman Reese Communications, Mr. Murchison coordinated the marketing and advertising campaigns of ASIC’s Tiger Shoe Corporation, and Spalding Sports Worldwide. He was instrumental in the launching of ASIC’s successful new line of cross training shoes and athletic apparel to retail stores. He was successful in positioning Spalding back into the retail tennis market by creating promotional events for club tennis players.

In 1991, as part of the International division of the NFL, Mr. Murchison served as marketing consultant for the Orlando Thunder Football franchise, which was part of the World League of American Football. He developed the marketing and image strategy for the football franchise as well as coordinated all activities regarding stadium signage and sponsorship, advertising tie-ins and team promotions.

In 1993, as part of Citibank Mortgage re-engineering team, Mr. Murchison coordinated marketing and sales efforts in positioning the Citibank name back into the real estate lending community. He initiated new policies and procedures and underwriting which allowed Citibank to develop new relationships with the secondary mortgage markets on Wall Street.

In 1994, Mr. Murchison left Citibank to start Game Plan Sports Management, a Sports Management, and event marketing company. Game Plan Sports Management recruited and handled player contracts, endorsements, and publicity strategies. In addition, they managed and coordinated special events and clinics with national sponsors.

Mr. Murchison is a graduate of University of Southern California where he received his B.S. degree in Sports medicine.

Mr. Pope was raised in Southern California and attended Chaffey College prior to California Polytechnic University in 1964. Following graduation in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree, he embarked upon a life-long career in the entertainment industry having held several senior executive level positions.

As the Partner-in-Charge of Arthur Andersen’s worldwide entertainment industry practice, Mr. Pope had direct responsibility for Andersen’s largest entertainment industry clients. In these capacities, Mr. Pope was principle in advising/structuring a substantial number of complex business and financial transactions including the valuation and acquisition of numerous major movie and television libraries and other literary properties, MGM’s expansion into the hotel/casino business, the MGM acquisition of United Artists Corporation, and the sale of MGM/UA to turner Broadcasting System.

Mr. Pope joined Weintraub Entertainment Group as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in October 1986, and was elected to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. During the next three years, WEG successfully completed over $224 million of capitalization activities, including financing for the $85 million acquisition of The Screen Entertainment Companies (which included one of the world’s largest movie and television libraries, over 2,100 titles), for which Mr. Pope had executive management responsibilities, and he sale structured and negotiated the highly successful sale of The British Pathe News Library (over 50 million feet of news) for $16 million.

In January of 1993, Mr. Pope became the Managing Partner of Entertainment Business Group, as business unit of Kenneth Leventhal & Company, providing the full spectrum of business and financial consulting services, after having served as an independent consultant to that firm on entertainment industry matters.

Most recently, Mr. Pope was President and Chief Executive Officer of Showscan Entertainment. Showscan, a publicly listed company is an international leader (22 countries) in creating simulation virtual thrill rides for the out-of-home/location-based entertainment industry. Showscan had historically specialized in bringing realism to various entertainment media through creative film productions, advanced technology, innovative theatre design and motion simulation thrill ride programming. Mr. Pope, as President/CEO, significantly changed the direction of Showscan and instituted revised business strategies to stabilize and restructure Showscan, thereby positioning the Company for an enhanced strategic alliance. Mr. Pope was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (May 1994 to February 1997).

Hi,
danke für die Info. Tja-bin echt gespannt wie es die nächsten Monate weitergeht. Ich behalte jedenfalls mal meine Aktien. Wenn ich den Bericht richtig verstanden habe dann ist dieser Mr.Pope bei MMG und bei Team tätig. Korrekt? Ich denke bei Team tut sich dieses Jahr noch etwas. Ob ich jedoch meinen Kaufschnitt von ~ 4€ nochmals sehen werde?

"Team Communications Group, Inc. is astonished by the flagrant misstatements of facts in the Call of the Wild Distribution, LLC. news release issued on February 1, 2002. Team is not in receivership and has an agreement with Mercantile National Bank with regard to the repayment of the approximately $1.9 million note.

Team is in ongoing discussions with Heller EMX regarding various alternatives that can be used to restructure the debt and will be meeting with Heller representatives at Team`s offices next week on this matter.

Team`s current executives take great exception to the language in the release inferring that they are named in any of the shareholder lawsuits. Neither Mr. Dennis Pope, team`s newly-appointed chairman, or Mr. Jay Shapiro, Team`s new chief executive officer, are parties to any of the shareholder lawsuits, and in fact, they were not even with the company when the acts that led to the lawsuits took place. Mr. Pope and Mr. Shapiro have spearheaded the successful settlement of these lawsuits, with no significant out-of-pocket costs to the company. Team has retained legal counsel to pursue appropriate legal remedies for the egregious misstatement of the facts in the release."

Team Communications Says It Isn`t In Receivership

LOS ANGELES -(Dow Jones)- Team Communications Group Inc. (TMTV) said it is not in receivership, contradicting a claim by Call of the Wild Distribution LLC.
On Friday, Call of the Wild said in a press release that Team "is being placed in receivership by Mercantile National Bank in Los Angeles County Superior Court." Call of the Wild said "that action led Call of the Wild" to declare Team in "total default" on $6.7 million of notes "in an effort to protect its interests."

Television producer Team said in a press release later Friday that it is " astonished by the flagrant misstatements of facts in the Call of the Wild Distribution, LLC. news release."

Team "is not in receivership and has an agreement with Mercantile National Bank" on the repayment of an approximately $1.9 million note, Team said.

Team said it "has retained legal counsel to pursue appropriate legal remedies for the egregious misstatement of the facts in the release."

Officials at Call of the Wild and Mercantile National Bank couldn`t immediately be reached for comment on Sunday night.

In August, Team unveiled a financial restructuring plan to reduce its balance sheet liabilities. The plan involved negotiation of compromise arrangements with trade creditors, and deferred payment arrangements with our lenders and financial creditors.

Team said last February that it was investigating whether several of the company`s deals "lacked economic substance."

After Call of the Wild LLC claimed that it placed Team Communications in default on notes because Team was being placed in receivership, Team said it was not in receivership.

Team said it would pursue "legal remedies" in response to Call of the Wild`s " egregious misstatement of the facts."

A Mercantile National Bank spokesman declined to comment on whether the bank had reached an agreement regarding Team`s repayment of a note, citing confidentiality.

Was da nun stimmt oder nicht, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Was mir nur auffällt ist, dass niemand auf den Deal mit MMG hinweist! Der soll doch viele Millionen Dollar bringen!? Auf einmal ist ein Heller und eine Bank im Gespräch. Habe ich da was in der Kürze meiner Zeit überlesen, oder siehst Du das auch so?

Es ist eine etwas länger zurückliegende Geschichte mit "Call of the Wild". Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Fernehserie, die von Team vertrieben wurde. Ich glaube es noch zu wissen, dass Heller der Produzent oder einer der Produzenten war, an den Lizenzgebühren fliessen sollen. Nun ist der Geldfluss wahrscheinlich durch die obengenannte Mercantile National Bank abgesichert, die jetzt offensichtlich eine Falschmeldung über eine Konkursverwaltung bei Team herausgegeben hat. Mehr ist es nicht!
Der Deal mit MMG ist ein weiterer Versuch, TEAM wieder aufzubauen. Murchison besitzt offensichtlich Geld und will evtl. unter seinem Namen an die Nasdaq. Eine Firmenübernahme (eher Namensänderung) könnte demnächst anstehen (nur eine Vermutung!).

Wieviel Zeit bleibt TEAM eigentlich noch, bevor sie aus der Nasdaq ausgeschlossen werden? Normalerweise ist es so, dass eine Firma, wenn sie länger als 30 Tage unter 1$ notiert, aus der Nasdaq rausfliegt. Wegen der Anschläge am 11. September wurde die Regel bis zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt ausgesetzt. Kann mich leider nicht mehr erinnern! War es nicht der Februar? Wer weiss es noch?

Wo bleiben eigentlich die Zahlen für das vergangene Jahr??? Normalerweise war das immer um den 20ten herum. Ca. eine Woche vorher kam immer die Meldung "Notification of late filling" heraus. Diesmal noch gar nichts!? Die werden doch nicht den Ausschluß aus der Nasdaq riskieren!?
