Die Zahlen haben wahrscheinlich auch dem letzten die Sprache verschlagen. Anders ist die Ruhe hier im Board wohl nicht zu erklären. Der Kurs hat auch kräftig reagiert, natürlich Richtung Süden. Gestern ging es sogar kurzzeitig unter 0,60 US$, bis zum Börsenschluß hat sich der Kurs aber wieder bis auf 0,66 US$ erholt.

LAS VEGAS, March 27, 2002 -- PurchasePro (Nasdaq:PPRO) today reported a net loss for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2001 of $71.3 million, or $0.98 per fully diluted share, on revenues of $2.4 million, compared with net loss in the comparable quarter a year ago of $36.8 million, or $0.55 per fully diluted share, on revenues of $33.6 million. The company`s 2001 fourth quarter results include special charges totaling $48.8 million related to write-downs and write-offs of certain property and equipment, intangibles, investments, and lease termination costs, as well as workforce reductions and associated costs.
For the year ended December 31, 2001, net loss was $272.2 million, or $3.80 per fully diluted share, on revenues of $38.8 million, compared with net loss of $72.8 million, or $1.15 per fully diluted share, on revenues of $65.0 million in the prior year.
Additional key metrics from PurchasePro`s fourth quarter include:
-- Revenue from software licenses sold in the quarter totaled
$524,000, compared with $818,000 in the prior quarter and $22.0
million a year earlier.
-- Transaction revenue was $57,000, compared with $58,000 in the
prior quarter and $9,000 in the comparable quarter a year ago.
-- Hosting revenue was $367,000 in the quarter, compared with
$323,000 in the prior quarter and $689,000 a year ago.
-- Maintenance revenue in the quarter was $437,000, compared with
$463,000 in the prior quarter and $273,000 a year earlier.
-- Professional fees were $466,000, compared with $944,000 in the
prior quarter and $198,000 a year earlier.
-- Gross margins were 41 percent compared with 64 percent in the
prior quarter and 94 percent a year earlier.
-- Operating expenses were $72.2 million, compared with
$108.8 million in the prior quarter and $72.0 million a year ago.
-- 78,000 purchase orders totaling $88 million were received in the
quarter, compared with 83,000 purchase orders valued at
$88 million in the prior quarter. For all of 2001, $262 million
in purchase orders crossed the commerce network.
-- In the fourth quarter, PurchasePro`s customers ran $377 million
in reverse auction volume resulting in $116 million in implied
savings through the PurchasePro commerce network, and
$864 million in reverse auction volume resulting in $275 million
in savings in the full year.

Ich habe mir mal den Replay des Conference Calls angehört. Die wesentlichen Infos daraus sind:
- die Ziele EBITA positiv im Frühling und Cash generieren im Herbst wurden bestätigt, allerdings war man auch auf Nachfragen nicht bereit, weitere Details zur internen Planung (Umsatz, etc) zu nennen. Man hat lediglich darauf verwiesen, dass man pro Quartal etwa 6 Mil.$ Kosten hat und sich jeder daraus den erforderlichen Umsatz ableiten kann, um die Ziele zu erreichen
- man hält die Cash Situation für ausreichend, um den Turnaround zu schaffen. Man hat dazu noch einmal auf die 6 Mil.$ Einnahmen durch die Privatplatzierung von Aktien im 1. Quartal 2002 verwiesen, die natürlich im Jahresabschluß 2001 noch nicht enthalten sind. Weiterhin gibt es einen Kreditrahmen von 15 Mil.$ bei Banken, den man nicht in Anspruch genommen hat, sowie die Zusage über den Einstieg von Investoren in Höhe von 15 Mil.$, die ebenfalls noch nicht in Anspruch genommen wurden
- der Umsatz im 4.Quartal 2001 wird als sehr enttäuschend gesehen (was wohl sonst). Man führt das mit auf das neue Preismodell zurück, das den Umsatz auf eine längere Zeit streckt, so dass man in zukünftigen Quartalen davon profitiert. Im 1.Quartal 2002 wird der Umsatz auf jeden Fall höher sein.
- die Quartalszahlen werden bis spätestens Mitte Mai bekanntgegeben. Man versucht sogar, das bis Ende April zu schaffen. Man hat auf die komplizierten Regeln der Umsatzverbuchung bei Softwarefirmen verwiesen, die eine sorgfältige Prüfung der Buchungen erfordern, was etwas mehr Zeit benötigt. Das Jahresergebnis 2001 wurde so extrem spät gemeldet, da man den Wirschaftsprüfer gewechselt hat.
- mit der Gewinnung neuer Kunden ist man sehr zufrieden, im 1.Quartal 2002 gab es ja bereits 5 Neukunden. Ungewöhlich war eigentlich auch, dass man die Kunden relativ früh im Quartal gewonnen hat, da üblicherweise erst gegen Ende des Quartals die meisten Aufträge reinkommen.
- es wurde gefragt, wie man das Risiko des Ausschlusses der Aktie von der Nasdaq sieht, da der Kurs bereits sehr lange unter 1 US$ notiert. Hier hat man bestätigt, dass mit einer Notierung unter 1 US$ von mehr als 30 Tagen dieses Kriterium erfüllt ist, hat aber darauf verwiesen, dass das nur eines von vielen Kriterien ist und man keine Probleme sieht, an der Nasdaq zu bleiben. Man hätte noch genügend geeignete Möglichkeiten, darauf zu reagieren. Das wurde dann aber nicht näher erläutert.
Ich denke mir, dass man eventuell einen reverse split meint. Da die Marktkapitalisierung mit über 50 Mil.$ immer noch hoch ist, wäre das sicher kein Problem, wenn auch eine solche Maßnahme in der Regel von Markt sehr negativ aufgenommen wird.
