FREMONT, Calif., Apr 2, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- FORTEL Inc. (FRTL) announced today that it has named Jack Noonan to its Board of Directors.

Jack Noonan was named president and chief executive officer of SPSS Inc. in January 1992. He served as president and chief executive officer of Microrim Corporation, a privately held developer of database software products in Bellevue (WA). He began his computer industry career in 1967, working in field engineering and systems development for IBM Corporation. He remained at IBM for the next decade before moving to Amdahl Corporation of Santa Clara (CA), makers of large computer systems. At Amdahl, Noonan assumed such responsibilities in software development, marketing and customer service; the last position he held was Vice President of Corporate Product Support and Services. In 1985, he joined Los Angeles (CA)-based Candle Corporation as Vice President of Technical Services, the company`s engineering and support services division. A year later, he was named Vice President, Product Group, overseeing marketing, product development, planning and delivery.

ich habe seit langem SPAZ und FRTL im Depot und trade rein raus mit beiden.
keiner der user hier dachte "frtl" wird mal "spaz" überholen.

Mit Spaz zu traden ist sicherlich Nervensache.
Ich beobachte Spaz auch schon lange, habe mich aber bisher nie getraut, -schaue dann bei den typischen Ausbrüchen aber immer wieder dumm hinterher. -> Ärgerlich... . :-(

Hast Du ein Patentrezpt? Wie gehst Du vor? Wieviele Deiner Trades waren denn wirklich erfolgreich (Prozentual gesehen)? -> Mal ehrlich? ;-)

FORTEL Reports Second Quarter Fiscal 2002 Results
FREMONT, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FORTEL Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: FRTL - news) today announced results for the second fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2002. Total revenue was $2,327,000 compared to $3,965,000 and $3,051,000 for the same quarter of the prior year and for the previous quarter, respectively. Software license and maintenance revenue of $2,114,000 for the quarter decreased 24% from the previous quarter. Net loss for the quarter was $1,948,000 or $0.06 per share compared to $2,050,000 or $0.07 per share for the same quarter of the prior year. Weighted average shares outstanding were 30,622,000 in the current fiscal quarter and 29,934,000 in the prior year.

"Total revenues declined as a result of softness in both the US and European markets," stated Asa W. Lanum, FORTEL CEO and President. "During second quarter, we closed a SightLine(TM) contract in excess of $800,000, however, due to accounting treatment of the contract terms, we were only able to recognize a small portion as revenue with the majority being deferred. Our deferred revenue at Mach 31, 2002 was $5,083,000 compared to $2,705,000 at December 31, 2001, an increase of $2,378,000. We continued to manage headcount and other expenses carefully during the quarter and remain focused on generating positive cash."

Total revenue for the first six months of fiscal 2002 was $5,378,000 compared to $8,517,000 for the same period of the prior year. Software license and maintenance revenue of $4,900,000 for the period decreased 36% compared to the prior year. Net loss for the six-month period was $3,788,000 or $0.12 per share compared to $3,622,000 or $0.12 per share for the same period of the prior year. Weighted average shares outstanding were 30,594,000 for the first six months of the current year compared to 29,573,000 for the prior year.
