Balsam Ventures Inc, Receives Letter Of Intent

BLAINE, WA, Aug 01, 2002 (INTERNET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Balsam Ventures, Inc. (OTC BB: BLSV)/ (Berlin BB: BV7) ("Balsam"), today announced it has received and accepted a Letter of Intent from TDC Marketing GMBH of Germany, ("TDC").
Subject to the successful completion and final testing of the instant chilling module, TDC has indicated that they intend to use the technology in its X-Energy line of beverage products. These include its non-alcoholic energy and pre-mixed Vodka cocktail drinks. TDC indicated that they intend to launch an additional two specialty drink products, which could also utilize the chilling module.

TDC makes and distributes alcoholic and non-alcohloic energy drinks. They are a major supplier to the German night-club and disco-tek markets, while also selling its line of beverages to the consumer retail market through its network of distributors.

"It is the goal of TDC to remain the leading supplier of mixed alcoholic energy drinks and increase our share of the non-alcoholic energy drink market. We believe with the InstaCool(TM) chilling module inside our beverages that we will have a considerable product advantage over our competition," said Mr. Markus Kurz, President and CEO.

Balsam is the owner of the exclusive global licensing rights to the InstaCool(TM) cooling system for bottled and canned drinks.
