Providential`s Subsidiary Provimex Accelerates Trading Activity with Vietnam

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 2004--Provimex, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Providential Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:PRVH) (Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges:PR7, WKN 935160) (www.phiglobal.com) today announced that it has recently completed shipping of nine forty-foot containers of office machines and equipment to Vietnam.


Under the Bilateral Trade Agreement between the United States and Vietnam, the latter has made a comprehensive set of commitments on tariffs and non-tariff barriers for industrial and agricultural goods and a full range of services, intellectual property rights, investment, transparency and other issues. According to the "White House Fact Sheet on Vietnam Trade Agreement," this constitutes a broad opening of Vietnamese markets for the United States, and will provide a major stimulus to Vietnam`s economic reform efforts.
