Northfield Inc. Announces $10,000,000 Financing

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Apr 29, 2004) - Northfield Inc. ("Northfield" or the "Company") announced today that it has entered into an engagement letter (the "Engagement Letter") with Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon Limited ("LOM") acting as sole agent, to raise CDN$10,000,000 on a best efforts basis pursuant to a public prospectus offering of units (the "Unit Offering"). Under the terms of the Engagement Letter, LOM has agreed to act as the sole agent of the Unit Offering, which will be completed by way of prospectus.

Northfield has entered into a strategic alliance with Len Stuart and Associates ("Stuart and Associates") to build a portfolio of gaming related assets. The Company is raising CDN$10,000,000 for this planned acquisition/consolidation program.

Mr. Len Stuart, for over four decades, has played an integral role within the North American gaming and entertainment industries, earning widespread respect for his entrepreneurial vision, innovation and success. Beginning with a single printing press, Mr. Stuart grew the Bazaar and Novelty and Bingo King brands until the business was the largest manufacturer of bingo supplies in North America. Mr. Stuart was Chairman of the Board of Stuart Entertainment Inc. (d/b/a Bingo King), a U.S. public company from 1984 to 1996, and during his tenure the company experienced tremendous growth with annual sales increasing from approximately US$25 Million to in excess of US$180 Million. Since 1999, Mr. Stuart has been Chairman of the Board of Bingo Country Holdings Ltd., the largest private operator of bingo gaming and entertainment centres in North America. Mr. Stuart is, as of September 2000, the Chairman and C.E.O. of BK Entertainment Inc., the private company that acquired Stuart Ente
rtainment Inc. in 1996.
