Telemate.Net Software Announces Agreement with Cisco Systems To Address Voice over IP Networks
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2000--
Cisco to include Telemate.Net technology with CiscoWorks2000 Voice
Manager 2.0
Telemate.Net Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:TMNT), a leading provider of integrated usage management solutions for the Internet, intranet and voice networks, today announced that CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager 2.0 now includes comprehensive network performance reporting technology from Telemate.Net as a result of an agreement with Telemate.Net Software.
"CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager has the capacity to store and process large volumes of data. The Telemate.Net contribution assists our customers with comprehensive reporting capabilities," said Sebastian Andreatta, senior product manager for Cisco Systems (Nasdaq:CSCO). "With Telemate.Net, CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager customers now have a more enhanced set of reporting tools."
CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager is a web-based network management application that delivers an easy-to-use yet powerful solution to configure, monitor and diagnose VoIP networks. CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager automatically detects voice support, includes tools to troubleshoot network problems, and provides valuable call detail information including call quality and call history. It empowers network administrators to install, control and lower the overall cost of owning corporate/enterprise voice networks built on VoIP technology.
A special version of Telemate.Net is being shipped with CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager to provide comprehensive reporting. In addition, Telemate.Net`s Enterprise solution will be resold by Cisco for those customers who want to provide reporting for other Cisco products such as PIX Firewall, IOS Firewall and NetRanger Intrusion Detection.
"We see our relationship with Cisco as a strategic move, that addresses the emerging convergence between voice and data," said Vijay Balakrishnan, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Telemate.Net Software, Inc. "The integration with CiscoWorks2000 Voice Manager is the first step in our efforts to leverage the evolving voice over IP (VoIP), voice over frame relay (VoFR), and voice over ATM (VoATM) markets."
Telemate.Net is a fully integrated network usage management solution that allows businesses and governmental agencies to see the detail of how people are using the Internet, Intranets and voice networks. From a single software platform, Telemate.Net Software can access data from multiple network devices in any combination - firewalls, proxy servers, PBXs and intrusion detection devices - and translate the data into over 200 different detailed usage reports. Telemate.Net embeds Microsoft`s SQL 7.0 relational database and links the detailed network usage data to an embedded organizational directory of users to provide comprehensive reporting. These reports provide the tools to answer the who, what, when and how questions businesses and governmental agencies have about their network usage, thereby maximizing the effectiveness of their Internet and voice networks as a business asset. A built-in scheduler can deliver reports by e-mail, web or print in any desired combination and frequency.
Telemate.Net is supported under government contract vehicles such as the GSA Schedule, LTLCS, DSSMP/MTMP, WACS/GWACS, WIDTS, NIH and various BPAs.
Telemate.Net customers include: Arthur Andersen, Coca-Cola Bottling, Dayton-Hudson, Georgia-Pacific, International Paper, Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research, Sears Roebuck, and the U.S. Army.
Telemate.Net supports PBX, firewall, and proxy server data sources from market leading vendors including: Lucent, Siemens, Mitel, Northern Telecom, Fujitsu, Tadiran, NEC, AXENT Technologies, Inc., Cisco Systems, Inc., Network Associates, Inc., Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd., Microsoft, Netscape, IBM, Sun Microsystems, and ANS. Telemate.Net Software is a Microsoft Certified Solution Partner and is a Seagate Software OEM partner. Telemate.Net has received OPSEC (Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity) certification from Check Point Software and is designed for Microsoft BackOffice.
